I love watching your videos! I start radiologic technology August 23rd and I’m so excited. The program was pretty easy to get into in my area! I start with a couple prerequisites- intro to radiology, imaging procedures, and intermediate algebra. As long as I pass those with a C or better I can move on! I already have anatomy and English done
that's such a nice tote bag! I love that it has a water bottle pocket on the side! and I LOVE your agenda! I use that dippin daisy's scrunchie like 24/7
Hahah snack game STRONG. You’re so organized 🙌🏼🙌🏼and I applaud the spare contacts lol I’ve been wanting to film a work bag video and now I feel inspired to do it ✨
As someone who has done ct/x-ray for 25 years you will soon learn you don’t need to carry a bag that big unless you are using it for your gym bag and lunch bag. I only take my purse and a small lunch bag to work. Although not everyone is as lucky as I am, I have my own desk so I can leach a charger, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant in my desk.
Did you have to take the PSB test for your application? If so, what was the best study material for you? I’m applying to Lonestar community college in Houston,TX this May and I’m taking the PSB test this week!!! I’m super nervous but I’m so excited for this next step in my career.
Hey, love your videos. I would love to see how you balance how your time during the week. Because I'm applying for rad tech for next year but I like to go to the gym 4 times a week but with the workload and clinical, would there be time to?
I’ll try to show more of this in my work vlogs! I don’t have a really good workout schedule, but that’s definitely possible if you schedule your workouts around your clinical/class!
Yess my toiletry bag has saved me so many times esp with the socks and spare contacts! I learned my lesson a day it rained and soaked my socks and I had to wear hospital socks 😂
I’m so glad I came across your channel. I’ve been considering applying to a local rad tech program (the only one in my state). Idk if this is a common concern but is there an increased risk for cancer as a rad tech? Am I just worrying too much? I looked into it but only found old studies which did show increased risk :( I’m sure technology has advanced since those studies were conducted though.
That's not something that is a large concern for me! To give you a little insight into the radiology department and how we protect ourselves - we stand behind a lead-lined booth during most exams, and if we are in the direct room (fluoroscopy, surgery, holding a patient during an exam, etc), we have to wear lead protective aprons and thyroid collars which helps to attenuate any possible scatter radiation that could reach us. Also, our occupational dose is monitored through a device called a dosimeter. There are guidelines set by the NCRP for how much radiation exposure workers can annually receive to the lens of the eye, skin, extremities, whole body, etc. Nurses, scrub techs, surg techs, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and more may receive daily exposure too from the surgical x-ray units and portable x-ray units. Rad techs who were working before 1950 have an increased cancer risk - technology was not as advanced then as it is today! Plus I'm not sure how much shielding was used back then as compared to today. Hope that helps a little :)
@@lorenan You're welcome! Another thing we were taught a bit about is "radiation hormesis" - pretty interesting if you ever have extra time to look it up! :)
@@JuliaKristine I’ll look into it I actually haven’t heard of it even though I’ve been researching all these different things about being rad tech. I’m prenursing right now but I really don’t think it’s the right career for me. I looked into being a rad tech and it seems like a much better fit. I would want train to do mammograms. Anyways I’m scared of switching because I could get into the nursing program by fall 2021 but I have no idea how long it’ll take for me to get into the rad tech program since it’s also competitive. I’m already 20 yrs old I could be 22 by the time I might be accepted into the rad tech program that feels too far from now and that’s if I even get in 😭.
@@lorenan I started my program when I was 22 and graduated when I was 24! It's never too late to start pursuing your dream career! The "oldest" in our class was 34 at graduation. Be confident in yourself and aim to get the best grades that you can in your pre-requisite courses! I had to apply twice because I was missing a lab class since I was a transfer student. It's not the end of the world to have to apply again :)

Super excited for you! Good luck with your schooling!!
Congrats! I start my rad tech program in august as well! Super excited but nervous 😅
I find these videos so interesting to watch, hope you all have a lovely week!
Thank you! You too! 🥰
your aesthetic is everything!!!
Those lashes look AMAZING on you! Also yes to the extra contacts, I’ve scratched mine out before and was stranded 🥲
thank you! ☺️ literally the WORST

It's so spacious! It honestly would be great for a carry-on too!
Honestly couldn’t go to work without mints, snacks, feminine products and deodorant 😂 those are my essentials. Plus charger, hand sanitizer etc.
Ahh I need to put gum/mints in my bag!!
@@JuliaKristine oh it’s a life savor! Especially when i eat garlic with every meal 😂
I love watching these makes me feel inspired to come to work with more than my keys and a lip gloss lol
HAHA 😂 i’m definitely an over-preparer
Me too, I carry the minimum with me to work and always wonder what everyone else is dragging around.
Slow day at work.. thanks for saving me😊💕
I hope your day goes by quickly!
What size is this? Is it medium or large?
Your videos are amazing just like you 🥰 keep doing what you’re doing because you are amazing at what you do! I always look forward to your videos!
Thank you, Maria 💕
I start my new hospital job Monday so of course I had to buy the same bag!! 😊
ahhh so happy for you! 💕 good luck!
I've seen other videos; some people are using it as a clinical bag. It's on my wish list and get it soon. Great video!!!
It’s a great, spacious bag! I also love it for traveling!
Love your bag! Is that the medium or large size?
My toiletry bag also includes feminine products, cleansing wipes for the bootay, a scented spray for the bathroom as well
Great video! Just wondering what maker holder cards are used for?
It’s just a spot to place your makers so you don’t lose them between exams! Losing markers really sucks haha
I got the same bag but in the pink option! It’s soooo cute!
love the pink too!

Snacks are a MUST 🤩 YES girl! You should! Can’t wait to watch it! 🤍
i always bring a fidget clicker, i spend a lot of time on the phone with insurance companies & it’s a lifesaver
That’s a great idea!

Ooo a desk would be very nice to store some personal items! This video is nearing a year old so things have changed!
Love your content! 🤩 Can you do a pros and cons of being a X-ray tech? 😊
Hey Julia, could you please give us some cute hair style ideas? I'm a raddie as well and I never know how to do my hair! :)
I definitely can do this ☺️ such a good idea!

I have never heard of that test! Sorry! :(
If you use a purse you should do a what’s in my purse or just personal bag for traveling
I only carry my wallet, lip product, and a lash spoolie in my purse! 😬 but in the future when we can travel again, I'll do a video like that!

Oh no!! That's the worst
I love these videos! So helpful
Hii the bag is really cute. Is it medium or large? You replied both sizes to 2 different comments asking the same so I wanted to clarify 😅
I apologize! I just measured it and it's the medium!
@ thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I have to have mints, sinus meds, Advil and my stress ball. I work in admissions for a hospital ED.
Your bag is so cute!! Deodorant is my essential !!
I just got my acceptance letter for the rad tech program at my school! I start this august 2021, I’m so excited but nervous 😩😅
Congratulations!! So exciting!
Nice job, Julia!
Thanks for watching!

My “clinic” bag has become a mess! Thanks for the inspo 😇

Hi julia!
Hello!
This is the first what's in my bag i have seen this year where i don't see someone carrying a mask and hand sanitizer.
I work in healthcare so they’re accessible for me!
Loved your video! You are so beautiful.... you look like an Angel seriously. :)
Do they let you have fake nails in your facility?
No, I don’t think any facilities allow acrylics
Let's take the opportunity to say congrats on your career elevation and There is a FB AD floating around with your beauty 😘
Thank you! What ad is it?
