Hello again, another nice video, I enjoyed watching. You some some good, and some unusual finds, well done. A nice collection of coins as well. Until next time have a great weekend, Natalie🙋♀️🌞😎
Hi Natalie, thank you. I have some lovely fields, I don't like to detect boring flat square fields. I like to be in amongst the wilderness and the hills. I'm as much of an explorer as a detectorist :)
Haha its very common for me to film my outros before I've finished detecting as I like to have the right background. So on my way back to car I found 3 silvers, typical !!
Belting video mate loved it! That coin spill was awesome, never seen you so angry and I don't blame you mate that was an absolute mess you were greeted with. Glad you got rewarded by a silver hatrick and that dime was gorgeous.
What a great video. You got your due rewards for filling back in those holes, Karma! Coins galore. I've two of those saddle maker badges , different names of course, but exact same style. Belter of a find. Well done.
Hey buddy, thank you for the kind words. After the disappointment of finding all those holes, I felt good filling them all in and then finding a bunch of coins as my reward :)
Great to see you find so many coins Gareth. Nighthawkers are lowest of low least they could do was refill holes!! Hope lil Miss is keeping you on your toes! 😉 Mila must be into everything now! Much love to your girls n stay safe! xx chez
Hiya, ye the nighthawking sucked but they were clearly amateurs. Yeah mila is doin well, she's got teeth galore at the moment looks like a right little thug 🤣🤣🤣

Hi mate, haha yes those three pences are my absolute favourite. Shame about the hawkers but thats the world we live in. I've had 1 French silver before, lives in the same tray as the silver Dime 😁
Great lot of finds Gareth. Hate people who leave open holes. And you are right that if they filled them in no one would know they were there. And you were justly rewarded with a great coin spill. Congrats on the silvers too. Well done mate. Regards Andrew 🦘🦘😁👍

Absolutely brilliant Gareth. Massive shame about the nighthawkers. Lovely silver sixpences and a absolutely outstanding one dime. When us British detectorists find American silver its always a great day. Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Great video Gareth, lots of coins. May have overestimated the buying power of a half crown in the pub. In 1966 one halfcrown would buy you two pints of cider, (I had a few), or one pint of bitter( 1s 8d) with 10d change. Keep pulling out them coins. Good luck.

What a video this was.. such a shame about the night hawks.. as you said, so easy to fill in holes. I've spent so long cleaning up after other detectorists, just so people don't think it's me that's done it. I hate it. On a lighter note, what an excellent pre decimal coin spill. I've not had a none silver half crown yet.. Best of all was your last coin spill, how you've missed that I the past I don't know. What a lovely one dime coin.. very lucky find!! And another couple of silvers. That's good karma again for doing your good deed of sorting out all the mess on there. 🙂😀 I've only got about 4 videos left 😬
I am so sorry for the nighthawks. I do not understand why people leave things like that. Makes everything so much harder for all of us. Congrats on the threepenny coins my friend. That was quite a coin spill. That Barber was a great find and loved the lead
Ayup Nat cheers mate. I noticed you have done a Deus II video, a very wise move, these vids are getting massive views. I'm currently editing one myself 🤣
Cheers mate, yeah the scumbags trying to ruin this permission but they will never prevail. I've been back multiple times, tidied up and theres been no sign of them since. And for my troubles I've had 4 or 5 silvers from this location
Ye mate, part of the hobby bit at the end of the day its the grafters who are out there every weekend who get rewarded. Those idiots couldn't find their own feet 🤣 Cheers Jason
Cheers mate, I am always respectfull to the land, I am a proper outdoors enthusiast, its where I love to be out in the wilderness with a flask of coffee and my detector 😁
Awesome video as always my friend. Did you make the landowner aware he’s got scum digging on his land at night. Looks like you had a fantastic days hunting, always nice to get a few silvers especially that beautiful dime. Amazing coin spill, 87p big loss to someone. I didn’t have my first pint till 1975, and I’m thinking it was 25p a pint, so I would of needed twice that for a cracking night out. Thanks for sharing mate.
Hi Steve, as this was a one-off incident I did not, landowner never ventured to that field. I went round the whole field and tidied it up. If it happens again then I may have to. But ye turned into a great days detecting 😁
Gareth I’m so jealous watching this sat in my camper in Scotland thinking i wish i brought my Detector now , BUT what a find with that dime . Those bloody nighthawks kill our hobby. But thanks again for a great video , I can’t wait to get home on Tuesday and get the apex out . Thanks bud ✌️
Hi mate, are you working up there or having a mini holiday? Aye the nighthawks made a right mess, but all sorted, love to know who the scumbags were!!!
" HOLY SH*T " HOLES!!! looks like they brought a JCB in looking at the size them...thats the reason why permissions are so hard to come by now-a-days anyway great vid 👍 keep up the awesome work bro
Hi Lee ye shocking, obviously someone who uses a very large spade. Someone who was digging every signal and digging the same depth every time. This leads me to believe they are total amateurs and do not what they are doing so probably didn't find anything
Cheers Martin, aye thats first time this has happened to 1 of my permissions in 8 years, had to happen sooner or later. I should perhaps be more careful what I show..
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Ayup pal , ye I totally understand that, work and kids leaves little time to do much else 😂, we spoke others day on messenger Annaandlee 👍🏼 I’ve now got the orx but I’ve been using nox for 3 years now and I’m lost as never owned a deus, so any tips would be great, drop me a msg on fb if you get a spare 5 mins cheers Lee
Another great video. What is it with slobs who can't replace the sod that they have dug up? So frustrating and it gives those of us who do it "right" a bad name. Great finds and nice silver. That U.S. dime was in great shape except for the hole. Look forward to the next! Cheers!🍻
Morning Mark, yeah its digraceful behaviour, its not hard to flip the clod back in the hole, these people are low lifes clearly. But ye apart from that it was a great day in the office. Take it easy mate 🍻
Hi Harold, conquering the U.S is one of the things I am trying to achieve. There are so many huge metal detecting channels in the States. Its nice to know that my little English channel is getting some views from the other side of the pond 😁
Silver hat trick 👌 nice, loads of coins 😃 great video, it's a sickening sight what the night hawkers have done I hope they have found nothing and sell there detectors.
Thanks for the video excellent finds The coin spill wow someone lost their beer money. Half crown used buy me school dinners for a week in the 1960s The American coin could have been a gift from an American serviceman to his British sweetheart maybe. Thanks again for the video it is very well produced and presented People who don't re fill holes I can just imagine what filthy slums they must live in I bet their toilet over flows because they couldn't be bothered to flush it YUK......
Hi Brian thanks for the great comments, I always appreciate reading comments about the editing amd filming side as I put sooo much un-noticed work into this 😁
Hey Gareth us Orx guys need a tutorial video... I know you mentioned it when we were chatting but seems a good time before all the sheep jump ship to the deus ii ;)
cor Gareth you sounded quite pi**ed off for most of that but t'was a good vid all the same and you sounded cheerier as it went on! 😂Nothing a few coins wont sort out!!!! Well done!
Yes mate I was proper riled at the start! Sory its taken me ages to reply, I've had huge amounts of comments to reply to. Hope you have the UA-cam studio app on your phone by the way? Its amazing
Just wanted to say the 1920 sixpence you found I found the same one and it has the same date as the 1920 sixpence you got. My 1920 sixpence was more shiny out the hole
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire silver and gold coins are the best for cleaning because they mostly are clean out the hole especially gold coins they come out the hole like they were dropped yesterday
Come back Summer, all is forgiven! Night hawkers are shite hawkers mate!! I cannot believe people would do it in the first instance but surely if you were you'd fix the holes so you can retain anonymity! Tossers!! Anyway the dime is a stunner mate, and a ton of others coins to boot!! Top video as always Gaz mate - thanks for sharing buddy!
Couldn't agree more mate what low lifes, like ya say chuck the clod back in n nobody bats an eye lid. They obviously done it on purpose, be soneone who watches my channel unfortunately
What a state they have left it in bunch of idiots. Well done on your epic coin spill nice haul. Nice to find a bit of silver mate as well. Did like that 1905 dime and the lead object well saved. Until the next one take care stay safe.
Cheers John, the field was left in a terrible state but I latched her up good n proper, got my rewards and this video is performing really well so its all good mate 🍻
Hi Ryan, yes mate you are right, I noticed the mint mark was missing when I investigated the coin, shame really. But still its a beautiful little coin and something different
Many comments about the nighthawkers on here so maybe I could share my recent findings into this situation , having experienced them on my own permissions recently. I contacted my Union's legal department ( Unite the Union ) for advice on how to deal with coming across them . They put me onto their solicitors , Thompson's . Firstly let's not overlook the obvious . They confirmed it is a crime on two counts . Aggravated trespass and theft and therefore liable to prosecution. In which the landowner must do ( mine will ). So firstly , if possible get a car reg number . Secondly phone 101 and report what is happening and that you're about to approach those committing the crime. Thirdly ascertain via landowner who has permission to double check . Then ask them politely to leave . If at this point you receive any type of threatening behaviour , turn and walk away and when at a safe distance call 999. If you can film all this all the better . This is the professional advice I received. Happy hunting 😊
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire not at all mate! What was interesting was your tone changed positively as you got past the idiots holes and into the day. You could hear how pissed off you were!
Not only do they not have permission and leaving great big holes they look like the ones that are in it just for the money , and as most of the items we find are not worth much apart from the history value, which they won’t understand , and are as thick as some of those clods they left behind. Incredible amount of coins left behind supports that. Top hunting pal , you really know your machine and what’s under the coil before you dig it, unlike some clod heads . Top show buddy. P.s . Still need a fancy big lead polo 😂
So I watched this video on the day it came out and thought to myself “I haven’t found a barber Dime and I’m in the states. WTF?” So on the 9th I took my orx out to a public park and wouldn’t you know it I dug a 1902 Barber Dime. I love your videos and usually watch them on my tv so I don’t really comment much but I had to pick up my phone for this one.
Hi mate, I love this comment! Firstly it amazes me people in the USA are watching what I do! And secondly how crazy this hobby can be with events like that!! Its the best hobby in the world and thats a fact. I spoke to someone recently who found a gold dollar in England. I wish you all the luck on your future detecting adventures. Thankyou for the appreciation 👊🙌🍻😁
The farm I have permission to detect on for over 12 years..the land owner caught 4 nighthawkers a few weeks back..piss's me right off and don't get me started about horsefly bites..ha ha ha..nice US Baber dime.I was out detecting the other year on pasture with my mate and he found a US gold Dollar..
Oh my lord your mate had a lucky day there wow! Sorry to hear about your nighthawking incident, I bet most of us have come across it. Shocking really. Take it easy buddy
Hello Tom, thanks so much for tuning in and watching this video. I used the XP ORX very successfully for 4 long years, that machine found me 4 gold coins and the stunning Georgian gold FOB seal. I only ever used Coin Fast factory program. My only difficulty with that machine was digging iron, especially in the early months. Its very difficult deciphering iron from none iron. You hear grunts and quacks on the very edges of signals, this is telling you its iron. If you ever have nay questions, please let me know. The first 100 or so videos on my channel are almost entirely XP ORX related. Have a look at the Georgian gold FOB seal video: ua-cam.com/video/z-W-cDKFe98/v-deo.html
I don't know why we are stuck with ugly coins now. Just a bunch of dead men. We have had beautiful coins featuring Lady Liberty like that Barber, Standing, my favorite Walking, then Peace dollars. I love the grace of the Walkers. Not just Liberty walking, but on the back is the eagle walking. How in the world you keep pulling coins out of that field is amazing. And you would think that if you were going to nighthawk, you would not want it looking like an angry hoard of moles went through. Sorry Sumb...well, no doubt you can fill in the rest of that curse word. What a load of slop, to put it nicely.
It is the same here and across the globe - modern coins are complete garbage. The permission is huge, maybe 400 acres or so laced with pre decimal coins. I bet I've dug over 1,000 coins from here over the years
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire It is completely amazing. You would think it was a marketplace for a couple hundred years. I can imagine how large that is because my family's ranch was 640 acres that I have been over ever inch numerous times. My Aunt and I have both wished we could hit it with detectors. But since it has been broken up,we can only dream.
Great shooting there Gareth. Amazing how coins are still coming up like that. The nighthawking business is shocking. Bad enough they're trespassing but leaving someone land in that state is disgusting. Scumbag(s).
Hi mate, everything is filmed on my smartphone which is an old Samsung Galaxy S10 filmed at 1080p 60fps. Spade is called a Noble MDT fully stainless steel British made by a chap called Carl. They are super strong and light enough. You can find him on fb or insta search Noble MDT. I will be giving one away when I hit 5k subs. Hope this helps
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire yes that's great mate thanks. Have subscribed here and on insta. Been watching your stuff for a while and we've chatted before on the ORX forum and various groups. I've got a Black Ada stainless spartan which is nice, but also looking at Megraphta because of the weight. I'll check out Noble mdt Keep it up bud

Crappy start to the day that mate but you didn't let it get you down, bloody troglodytes 😑. Horse bite an all, you deserved those silvers mate and that coin spill was awesome! American dime was sweet. Warm, bam , thank you mam 🙏😁😂. Fantastic video gazza! 😁🤺🔥
Another brilliant video mate. Absolute b#*$@rds nighthawking and leaving it like that 😪 Atleast you got a reward after fixing the horrific holes! Lovely spill, silver dime and unusual lead item. Funny enough I had a strange lead item recently that looks religious. Enjoyed watching gaz and your b roll was 👌😎❤
Cheers Dave, this is my 1st proper experience of nighthawking on 1 of my permissions so done well to get to 8 years, aas bound to happen sooner or later. Its very sad why people would do this and not even bother to fill the holes in, its as if they did it on purpose.. But I fixed it all and still had a great time detecting. Cheers mate hopefully see you Saturday
Well done on the fine mate. I think you deserved too fine all of those silvers and the pocket spill after thoses blood night harkers did what they did 🙄👍
Cracking video bud ,as for the night hawkers don’t it just p..s you off had one on our permission we caught him in the act made out he had permission to be there after a quick phone call which didn’t go in his favour I nearly punched him and a few strong words were said 😡
Hi mate, chances of catching them is impossible, I have some slight suspicions who it could possibly be but I'll be keeping that to myself without concrete evidence
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire it was, lol. they were dated 1845/1939, all I can work out is the farmhands were playing toss & pitch in an unused lane and lost them over the years
Nighthawks go everywhere and anywhere. Good on you for sorting it out. You don't want the farmer thinking it was you. That was an epic coin spill. And, 3 silvers in the end! That was a great hunt, if a bit frustrating at the beginning. HH Gaz!
Scumbags Gareth, couldn't find there own arse with both hands, well done you for tidying up, 👍👍nice haul of coins for someone that knows what they are doing , well done, excellent video as always.
What an awesome day only spoilt by the scum of the nighthawkers, loved the coin spill but the dime was an gem - thank you for sharing - keep safe and well m8
Ayup David, these guys were total amateurs, no clue what they were doing. Low life scum of the earth. But these things are a common occurrance in this hobby full of crooks and scum. Take it easy my friend 🍻
I’m sure I commented on this earlier but it isn’t there... maybe I said a naughty word about the nighthawkers and UA-cam didn’t like it! What a coin fest though!
I hope the scum who left those holes like that are watching this and see what they missed and learnt how to fill the holes back in. Well done Gareth 👍🏻👍🏻
I had not seen this video of yours before, so I thought I should have a look when I noticed that you had been night hawked. The same thing has happened to me several times over the years, and I have done the same as you and gone round the whole field and filled all the holes in properly because if you don't it looks like you have left the mess yourself. My theory is that people see you detecting and you may even talk to them and it gets them interested in the hobby so they go out and buy a detector and they think it's ok to just jump onto the land that they saw you detecting on because nobody will mind, or they think you are finding loads of good stuff so go on at night to try and find some as well. They may have even seen your videos on youtube with all you splendid finds, and they want a bit of it, but without actually going to the trouble of getting permission themselves. The tragic consequences of modern detecting and social media mate, the more you are well known in an area and seen on social media doing what you love, the more folk will try and F*ck it up for you by hawking or poaching your permissions, and sometimes it is even people that you previously trusted and helped in the hobby. The dime is a lovely unusual find. I once found a huge Canadian one dollar by the side of a river, it nearly blew my ears off and it was the last thing you would expect in UK, same as your dime.
Hi mate, your comments are completely correct, its very possible this field got night hawked because of me or my channel. I imagine this person who did this was an amateur and did not know what they were digging. Its a very iron infested site and I noted a lot of the unfilled holes had iron signals embedded in the bottom. But yeah how could we walk away and leave it like that, it unfortunately becomes our responsibility to get that field ship shape again. I never returned to this permission
Will make me think twice about scanning over the field when videoing Paddy. Why would people do that? Get off your bum and make the effort to get your own permission. Another great video mate. Love that lead token thingy
Hi Andy, yep, going forward I need to try and not show as much scenery. Unfortunately its a big part of my channel, not just metal detecting but also the great outdoors in general
Not this time mate, that field is a trek from the farm, he never goes there. I checked the whole field and filled every one in. As far as I know they not been back since
Such a shame you have nighthawks who have little regard for other peoples permissions,it may be you show too much of your area and idiots are local to you.Have you informed the farmer or are you just going to keep on filling other peoples holes?
Hi Dave, unfortunately you could be right, I need to be careful what I show. I filled all the holes in, didnt tell the landowner, it was only that field n they never go in it. Its not happened again since cuz they obvs didn't find anything. Will be monitoring the situation though
Ugh humans can be so awful. And clearly they don't have any metal detecting skills to go along with their manners. They missed the good stuff. It's in better, more deserving hands anyways (yours).
Hello Jillian, yes unfortunately this hobby is terrorised by unsavory people who don't care about anyone or anything. But good will always prevail over evil. Thanks again for watching another of my metal detecting videos

Alright mate. Sad to see the idiots have visited! They'll get collared at some point. Another great vid mate. Hope you're all keeping well
Jase.
Ye mate, part of the hobby bit at the end of the day its the grafters who are out there every weekend who get rewarded. Those idiots couldn't find their own feet 🤣 Cheers Jason
Way cool. That's amazing
What was cool and amazing?
Gareth, respect the land, you’ll always have a welcome.

Another great video Gareth love the lead possible harness fitting. Its a shame about the nighthawk low lifes. Keep them coming mate 👍
Cheers Martin, aye thats first time this has happened to 1 of my permissions in 8 years, had to happen sooner or later. I should perhaps be more careful what I show..
Nice finds great video too.
Cheers buddy 😁
Nice finds there pal ,, shame about the hawkers ,, did you ever do a vid on orx setting cheers Lee
Hi Lee, no not yet, toying with the idea of doing a beginners guide / tips to the ORX though. Its just time, I never have time to do anythin

Nice vid, nice finds...from the u.s.
Hi Harold, conquering the U.S is one of the things I am trying to achieve. There are so many huge metal detecting channels in the States. Its nice to know that my little English channel is getting some views from the other side of the pond 😁
Great video my freind 👌
Thank you so much 😁🙏

Cheers Traynor, yes that would of been a lot of cash back in the day
Hey kid, you know the edge of your spade is for nighthawkers skulls don't you. Another great video love it.
Haha yeah if I could catch the motherfu****s 🤣
Silver hat trick 👌 nice, loads of coins 😃 great video, it's a sickening sight what the night hawkers have done I hope they have found nothing and sell there detectors.
Hi Stephen, yes not often I get a silver hatrick these days so was just rewards for having to sort out the mess from the scum nighthawker
Thanks for the video excellent finds The coin spill wow someone lost their beer money. Half crown used buy me school dinners for a week in the 1960s
The American coin could have been a gift from an American serviceman to his British sweetheart maybe.
Thanks again for the video it is very well produced and presented

cor Gareth you sounded quite pi**ed off for most of that but t'was a good vid all the same and you sounded cheerier as it went on!
Hi mate, yeah I had to soak mine in lemon juice over night, came up like new. Cool coins, always happy to find stuff like that

Literally did the same the other day pulled a ruff Vicki one shilling 1873 after rinsing the part I found it
Hi Matthew, now I absoutely love finding Victorian silver coins, well played. Soaking in lemon juice is the best way to clean them
Many comments about the nighthawkers on here so maybe I could share my recent findings into this situation , having experienced them on my own permissions recently.
All well n good mate but when the scumbags are there at night when normal people are in bed theres not a lot we can do
Great day that mate 👏👏👍
Did you skip the first 10 minutes and all the nighthawking business? 🤣
Aye I know my machine and I know the land, killer combination, its why I do so well on pasture. Stick me on plough and I'm like a cow with a gun YOLO

Have a look at the Georgian gold FOB seal video:

I hate people who don't fill their holes! They're the reason it's so hard to get permission nowadays! Watching from the U.S.A. great videos!
Hi Jack, ye these people are pure scumbags, I hate this sort of thing, not hard to refill a hole is it. Greetings from England to the USA 😁
Scumbag(s).
Hi mate, cheers was a good day after such an awful start. Them nighthawkers want shooting, absolute scum of the world
Nice one Gareth. What camera are you using for your videos? And which spade is that, it looks fairly lightweight but strong? Regards

Hi mate, chances of catching them is impossible, I have some slight suspicions who it could possibly be but I'll be keeping that to myself without concrete evidence
you wait till you dig up 366 old pennies in a 15ft square area, took a few days. lol
Haha thats a lot of pennies but I bet it was immence fun!!

HH Gaz!

Well done Gareth 👍🏻👍🏻
I hope they had a terrible accident on their way home 🤣
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire 😂😂 would be a real shame if they stepped in one of their holes on the way back and snapped a ankle
What muppets digging crap 😂 and risking a huge fine in the process 😂
You hit the nail on the head there, absolute muppets 😁
Will make me think twice about scanning over the field when videoing Paddy. Why would people do that? Get off your bum and make the effort to get your own permission.
Another great video mate. Love that lead token thingy
Hi Andy, yep, going forward I need to try and not show as much scenery. Unfortunately its a big part of my channel, not just metal detecting but also the great outdoors in general
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire it shouldn't be like that mate. Likewise I love where we go and always like to do a panoramic view

They are totally shits they ruin it for everyone I enjoyed your video some great finds
Hi William, totally agree, absolute scumbags aint they !!
Did you inform the farmer bout those holes or let it lie. Worst I've seen.
