The Korg VOlca Beat sounds so fire with that mod - Anyone with this volca should get the mod on ebay or DIY - I don't get why Korg doesn't do a simple v2 of this with the snare CR-78/volume mod and even add a swing and a few updated sequence options - would be a hit across all genres
Nice to hear that snare sounding good at last. Also props on using the hidden technique of using the PCM parts with the stutter to create those sick riffs. I've never heard anyone else use it until now and I've always thought it's been a feature of the beats that's been underutilised.
@@maximesteiner thanks! I would love to be able to help you but I don’t have the Volca Beats any more and I don’t remember very much. The only thing I am sure about is there are some solder pads on the pcb where you can solder a capacitor, I don’t remember the value tho...
@@maximesteiner Farther down in the replies he mentions it was the 104 capacitor for anyone else who sees this, I am thinking of doing this on mine, maybe I'll go with the 105 on my Beats
i am confuse, i own a volca and i never been able to produce that kind of sounds, is this only volca? if yes it cannot be just the moded snare producing those nice organic and warm nice sounds is it ? anyways great video
Thanks, yes all sounds are from the Volca Beats and are not externally processed. I used the Stutter (delay) in very fast settings on the PCM sounds with some knob motion recording to produce Karplus Strong synthesis like sounds.

people have been complaining about how functionally limited this device is but you proved it's just they lack imagination.

Possibly the best video on the volca beats yet!
plus nice snare sound...
So much fun! Excellent work and you are getting sounds of that thing that I wouldn't have thought possible. Fantastic.
I can't stop listening to this, it's so addictive.
Best Volca Beats Video!!
You've probably helped to sell about a thousand extra units, what a great demo. Korg should send you some royalties!
ren hoek thanks mate! UA-cam would not even give money for the adds but we can still hope.
Def. the reason I am buying one - this video makes the thing look sick
STIMPY YOU EDIOT
one of the best videos i´ve ever seen
Finnaly, a talented ear, melting on the kVB. you sir, made history.
Awesome video. :) And great mod to your Korg! :) Take care, Sam.
absolutely love this demo
Excellent demo! Educative and funny at the same time! Many thanks. It makes me want to buy one...
This unit sounds like decent substitute for Roland TR-606, especially for 80s Chicago House and New Beat styles.
1000 cool points!
That was just plain fun.
You rocked this Bruh...
This is pretty killer, nice job.
great demo man!
nice video!
yo, this demo is dope!!
Great sounds!
This reminds me so much of D.H.S.. Dope stuff.
sounds amazing
Great work men !!
That's AWESOME 💯
How did you make that super fat crunchy bass hit that comes in around 2:18?
Sorry I can't remember and I did not do patch notes. It's probably a PCM sound modulated by the stutter and the pcm speed pots.
So awesome!
Great!
@1:22 “Your ass tastes like rainbow”
Meeeeeeegaaaaaaa cooooooooool ;-)
Wow!!! Clever hands
best one yet ;)
so dope
Weirdly the advert UA-cam gave me before your video was for the new Kong movie. Great demo of the beats though, is this the 104 cap mod for the snare?
Thanks, yes!
cool video
Damn i want one soooo bad
Dig the groove
Korg Please send checks to 'Datachrome' - Hall of Fame Volca Beats Demo
Master
which capacitor?
Super awesome vid and track!! Did you do the mod yourself??
Yes, you just have to solder a capacitor on the pcb and gone is the distortion !
@@Datachrome Hey there! Great performance! I love it! Could you tell me which capacitor nbr did you use? thank you!
