    Great tutorial! This one was pretty easy to do but make sure that the paper you use is not too thin otherwise it will be a bit complicated to link all the pieces at the end. So happy I discovered this UA-cam channel!

    There are several people doing really great modular origami videos on UA-cam, but yours are some of my favorites. I've made several pieces from your videos. I never have problems following along. I had to up the craft I had been doing for 20 years for a health reason. I came across your Yami Yamauchi Fireworks tutorial and it was such a fun thing, I decided to try it out. After making that, I was hooked on modular origami. So thank you for making your videos.

    hey, you could make the inverse of this as well, connecting 3 units like you connected 5, and 5 units at the points, like you connected 3.

  • @gabikralj94
    @gabikralj94 8 років тому +1

    I just started making this one and folded 5 units so far, just for the sake of assembling the first pentagon. It really holds well, i will sure make the last 25 units. if you practice enough, it doesn't take much time either for one piece. :D

      if you want to save on paper,you can cut your sheets in four. only caveat is that the smaller the paper,the harder it can be to fold.but you pass from needing 30 sheets to 8(7.5)

    • @edwardholmes91
      @edwardholmes91 8 років тому

      I was thinking of cutting some 19.5cm squares from a roll of paper and then diving each sheet into 9... I think if I divided 15cm squares in 5cm pieces it may be a little too small for me to accurately fold... but I'll test fold half a dozen pieces on cheap paper first anyway.

    • @SuperSuperNova

      BestPlayer if you use 15 x 15cm sheets of origami paper then you only need 7.5 of them to make this model if they're divided by 2

    • @jonakashima

      When adding new units, always make the groups of 5 units first, they are more stable than the pyramids
      If you form a pyramid first, then it will be harder to keep units together when making a group of 5

      Francesca Acquaviva You can get origami paper in the "crafts" section of Barnes and Noble. If there's a Daiso store in your town, they have it too. I usually use gift wrap. If you keep an eye open during Christmas you can sometimes find a double sided gift wrap that is good for projects like this. Cutting gift wrap down with scissors takes forever, so you might want to invest in a paper cutter if you plan on doing this stuff a lot.
