This diagram is fantastic. The stability in the finishing product is amazing and it all fits perfectly when I got all the 30 pieces together. No imperfections or anything. I'll definitely make more of these. Will look great in the Christmas tree too! Thanks for sharing!
And here's the second instructional origami video for November: Star Sonobe by Maria Sinayskaya. I show the full assembly, too, and with some detail, so that you should be able to follow along even if this is your first kusudama. Enjoy!
plz tell me where you got that gold and green paper and second, where do you usually get your origami papers from ??? thank you very much. i made it and looks awesome but i really wana know where i can get the green and gold paper so i can make 1 with exactly same colors :D
WarlordX7 I bought the paper at the Italian convention some years back. I think this might be the same paper: www.origami-papier.eu/75x75cmgoldsilber-c-6_7_17_229.html As to where I buy papers: all over the place. Some paper I buy locally, some online (especially at www.origami-shop.com), and some at conventions.
happyfolding.com - enjoy origami online awesome. thank you very much. i have been looking for a good website where i could get the papers from. thanks again :D
WarlordX7 That shop also sells the paper in larger sizes. I've added a bunch of links to www.happyfolding.com/gallery-sinayskaya-star_sonobe for reference.
You are such a good teacher! I completes the model without any problem. Also, your voice is really soothing, which definitely helps. ^_^ Thank you for sharing; I always enjoy your videos.
hi there, i have a question, if i may... lately i have been trying to fold sanobe in deffent shapes, apart fron the tesselated octahedron and icosihedron. iv'e started to fold partially plotonian solids (aka perfect solids) like tesselated cuboctahedron. problem is, the traditional sanobe only goes up to 90 degrees,so i can only make tesselated triangles and squares and can't make things like dodecahedron, i tried changing the sanobe by making it thinner, but the sturcture wont hold up, can you please help me find a sanobe that goes up to 108 degrees at least?
For 9 years, I still love this tutorial. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 ❤ 🎉2023 to you.

And I did it YES! Lucky I knew how to do something very similar..whoo!
is there a formula we can use to determine the size of the kusudama if we us a sheet of paper x in length
i figured it out lol its y=1.2x where y= the diameter and x=side length in either centimeters or inches
Drawadactyl Yes, that's right. Good of you to figure it out. :)
Is there a method to follow if I want the colors to be distributed evenly?
Check the video description. I added a link in the very top.
Piękna!!! Jak się patrzy, to wydaje się łatwe... Ale jak spróbuję sama zrobić, nieraz będę kląć...
