The Fire Department was called out to our house for a carbon monoxide leak. Is everything okay? I have decided that I will be going back to work! What will I be doing?

If the house has been cleared, you might also have the cars checked out and make sure there's nothing wrong there.. Also make sure that you don't start cars with the garage doors closed, or close the doors before you turn the car off.. The kids might not know the importance of the door being open when cars are running..
im hoping its not some internal issue (within their house) because not only will it be time consuming to get it fixed, its gonna be very expensive. if any under ground electrical cables on their property stemming directly from the home have been damaged, this could be the cause of it aswell & nobody would know it because all gas lines are underground. to be safe id call in professional plumbers & purchase carbon monoxide monitors to place on the walls.

That fire fighter was so kind and it was so nice of him to help the kids and everyone feel calmer and Scarlett will remember it as a cool experience.
Also I fully get the whole getting a new job or career once the kids are older, which is where I am too. Once my health is better I'll be training to be a photographer.
I think you as a social worker or trauma therapist is a fitting thing for you, as you are so kind and I try to parent how you do

@@2LynneTracy uhh I don’t think so he was way older than Melinda for sure. But it was still great that he was thinking about how everyone was feeling and trying to keep their minds off the situation and help them feel safe! And yes I know he could still be interested in Melinda even if is way older, but in this case I think he was just trying to distract Scarlett from the situation so she remembers the experience as she went in a fire truck, not the reason why the fire department was there.
Was thinking when you mentioned going back to work, would you consider training parents to be foster parents? You have a lot of experience with the ups and downs of being a foster parent. I would think this would perfect! Plus you would be a terrific resource for new foster parents!
Okay. That was scary! Glad the house levels were okay. But, Jamie and Hannah's levels are worrisome. Are there further tests that can be done for them?
Very cool of the Fireman to take Scarlett, Jamie and Joe for a ride. He really took Scarlett's mind off of the scare.

The firemen was the best ever when he took Scarlett out there and showed her though the truck then to take them for a ride was extremely beautiful just as u said to relax them I’m so very happy there all so close and all checked out by the fire department

Have Hannah’s car checked. Was Jamie in her car at some point?? When I was little my sister kept getting sick and it wasn’t our house. She had a new Dodge Dart and it turns out it was leaking CO2 through her vents!! Glad everyone is okay ❤

@@Cantfi yes, but I looked it up and it’s still possible. Something with the battery/electricity fusion. Could be nothing but I know Hannah’s been driving her siblings lately places so who knows
@@tarasingh410 I didn't know that. Then they should really check that out. Or it could maybe be something with their vent systems. There might be dust or mold build up, and some of them react to it more then others.
@@Cantfi I didn’t either till I looked it up. Yes you’re absolutely right! It definitely could be something like that as well. I’m just glad everyone is okay and hopefully they figure it out
Did anybody think to check a car that maybe Hannah and Jamie and anybody else might have been riding or driving in a lot recently? I'm not fully through the video so I don't know if it's explained later yet but I'm still very concerned as to why their carbon monoxide levels were so high

The fire fighters were so sweet! Letting Scarlett get in the truck to take a look! And they let you guys go on a ride around the block! Absolutely amazing! So happy for crystal! Going back to work is good especially when all the kids are in school except Max, and Hannah! Aurora taking pictures of everyone was so funny! I bet that phone is full of pictures of all the kids at random times 😂
I am hoping they figure it out as the alarm went off and Hannah and Jaime have high levels. I wouldn't even be sleeping there until they figured that out.
This actually happened in my city. Unfortunately the whole family consisting of 5 people past away. This is a very scary situation and I am so glad you guys are safe.
Love the firemen showing Scarlet the truck while they were there. Children learning that firemen , police officers, etc. are there to help us even though their vehicles make loud noises is a good thing.

I am a social worker and it is a fantastic job but I reallllyy wouldn't recommend it if you are not wanting something schedule based! It is soooo busy all the time and I don't feel like you ever really stop! You need something where you can switch off from work and focus on the kiddos 🥰

Never a dull moment at your house lol. So glad everything is ok. We had a similar scare not long ago and they tested and said the levels were slightly elevated but it could be from the car being pulled into the garage etc. Melinda, get that fireman!! 😉 You picked a great time to go back to work Crystal, school starting and the housing market is booming at the moment. We will be selling ours in a few years and hopefully moving to Florida. Good luck!!

My mother in law is a realtor also and she has helped my husband and I get our first house at 23 and we sold that one for 109K profit after 1.5 years and now at 25 we have our second home that we love and am so proud and amazed at how great a realtor she is and the fact you want to help your kids with getting their own house is amazing and I love that congratulations!!

Maybe you could combine the two. Maybe there is a way for you to help kids who age out the foster care system find nice housing and/or teach a class on how to budget and pay bills.

Hannah is homeschooled, so she is probably in the house more than some of the other kids. Jamie doesn’t live there full time so her having an even higher number is a real mystery! Maybe if you trace where she spent most of her time they can figure out where the leak originated.

I’m so glad everyone and everything’s okay. My mum recent started going back to work after years of not working due to my dad Ill heath, she was worried about going back because he’s still not well (it’s a life long thing) but he’s doing better, I do help out a lot when I’m not at collage. So hopefully everything goes well💖💖💖

I think you would make a phenomenal Social Worker or Crisis Counselor. Start taking online classes and before you know it you will have your degree. You are obviously a person who can handle a lot once so online classes might be the way and I think you would thrive helping people. You seem kind and genuine, and you raise a beautiful family.🙏🙏💙💙

In my ‘spare time’ I’m cleaning my house, doing laundry & ironing, food shopping, cooking etc. there are always things to be done I find.
But you have help around the house and I know Aaron cooks a lot ( my husband never cooks) so it’s different. Glad you are all ok.

Did you check Hannah's car? Or any where that her and Jamie have been together. Might just be worth a check because then if people going in and out of the garage might be why everyone else got some symptoms too. Hope you find where the issue came from.

Hi crystal, it’s very inspirational that you would like to start working! I’m a sw in ca & let me just say this work is for the tough & thick skinned people. You go work extra hrs, & bring a lot of work home (mentally because it’s exhausting) I feel like you CAN NEVER CATCH UP. There’s always a million & one things that you need to do all while you’re underpaid and being talked down about 😞
We have a lot of ppl who quit because they can’t take the work load but I command you for considering this job ❤️
If Jamie is still living in the apartment with Halie I would suggest maybe having hallie get her levels tested also..
That's soooo cool the firefighter took Scarlett, Jamie & Joe for a ride! Kind of jealous.
We have had firefighters out 2 or 3 times for carbon monoxide.
I REALLY APPRECIATED that our realtor was soo AMAZING with my kids because they had come to all of the showings & we looked for 6 months! Sometimes my kids were more excited to see our realtor than their dad.
I honestly think you would be great as a therapist. You have so much first hand knowledge and experience with your own kids and I know you would be a Godsend to other kids and teens out there. Go for it Crystal! You’ve got this! ✊🙌

I watched this video earlier today before work around 11am and around 1pm a house in my city blew up killing 3 people, several animals, and 39 hours homes were destroyed total. 11 families were evacuated because the home is not stable to live in anymore or is completely vanished…… it is all under investigation still however, there are several rumors about possible gas leak explosion……. My point to this story that happened today is 1. I’m very glad you took this headache thing seriously and looked into it and called for fire department to check and 2. What a strange (& scary) coincidence you shared this the same day! …… also if anybody would like to read up on it, it’s all over the internet. This is the third time something like this has happened in my city since I been alive. One was a gas leak, one was a meth lab, and this one is under investigation still and has not been mentioned what caused it.

Has Hannah and Jamie spent time together somewhere else recently? Maybe Jamie’s apartment or Hannah’s car? Did the fire department and gas company test each room in the house or just the gas lines? Is there a chance that something in Hannah’s room is putting of carbon monoxide fumes?

I work with kids as a nanny. I loveeee it. You advocate for yourself, basically make your own schedule by finding a family that matches your ideal or is flexible on negotiating, set your own rate mainly depending on your city and experience (you could make $$$), and you’re with kids always 💜 I just recently started with my second nanny family and they are a dream come true. 100/10 recommend. Make sure when interviewing, ensure it’ll be long term and that they’re paying you legally via payroll and always always have a contact :) I take my nanny kids to the zoo, library, parks, etc. and get mileage reimbursement!

I'm glad you guys are all ok, what a scare!!! We had the fire department come out last week, and now after watching Scarlett's trip around the block, my little grandson is feeling deprived because he didn't get a ride in the fire truck. :/ We're all ok too, so yay!

I’m glad everyone is okay! Crystal, you should look into doing an organizing/decorating peoples houses as your own business. That way you can be flexible around with the kids schedules.There is cleaning involved but knowing someone that does it she seems to make it fun with all the videos she post. And, watching your videos I think you love to fun with it anyways and I know you’re good at it with all tips and hacks you provide to the viewers. I hope you find something you really enjoy. 🙂
She would need an interior design license I think. She’s already paying her mom and aunt to organize and clean her own house, so it would be weird if she went off to do that for others. 😆
@@SnailWhales You don’t need to have a interior design license to clean/organize. And, it wouldn’t be weird because I know of someone who does it. If it’s run as a small business, it You be flexible by setting your own schedule.

Thinking of all of you. So Sorry. We had a similar thing happen and it turned out it was my Mom’s old furnace causing the problems. Hope that all of you get better soon. One thing we have at our place that has been helpful is a Carbon Monoxide device that you just plug in. Congratulations Crystal. That is exciting news and wish you all the best..
