Banana bread recipe with chocolate chips is one of the favorite kind of banana breads for many of us.
In this easy banana bread recipe, we use very basic ingredients which are most likely already in your pantry and we use no special equipments to make this moist banana bread.
We use very ripe bananas for making this banana bread.If you want to swap chocolate chips for nuts you can use some chopped walnuts or pecans instead.And to add some flavor you can add some cinnamon powder if you wish.
When we use the chemical leaveners in the right amount and using the gentle folding method while mixing, we will get The Best,soft and fluffy Chocolate chip banana bread.
This chocolate chip banana bread batter can be prepared in less than 10 minutes.
The method of making this chocolate chip banana bread is so simple.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt ;and keep it aside.
Then into medium bowl add in the bananas and mash them.

Add in the melted butter,sugar,yogurt,eggs,vanilla extract.
combine everything to form a homogenous mixture.
Now add in the dry ingredients and mix them together gently.
Finally add the chocolate chips and combine.

Transfer into a greased pan(i have used a 9x5 inch baking pan)

Bake at 325 F for 70-75 minutes or until a took pick inserted into the centre of our chocolate chip banana bread comes out clean.

The texture isn't too moist and more cakey which is what I was looking for! It's perfectly balanced though next time I would save 3 bananas to reduce the sugar.
The only substitution I did was full fat milk instead of yogurt since I didn't have any.

I made the eggless version as explained in the blog, it turned out to be great! Very tasty!
I made the banana bread using buttermilk and put raisins and chocolate chips. I made a mistake of using a silicone loaf pan and the weight of the batter overflowed and dripped to the bottom of my brand new oven! It was such a mess! had to stop the oven and salvage a big chunk of the gooey goodness that dripped at the bottom. I did not want it to caked and cooked or I will end up scraping and cleaning more. Afterwards I reheated the oven and finished baking my poor banana bread. I was bracing myself for whatever the result would be. To my surprise it turned out still good and moist despite the not so appetizing appearance. I really loved your recipe so easy and yummy! Thank you for sharing❤️

I’m baking this recipe right now. I don’t have a yogurt and choco chips so i added apple sauce to replaced the yogurt and 2 tbsp black cocoa powder to replaced the choco chips. Will see how it turn out when it’s done baking. Good luck to me😃

Hi Bincy, it's a great delight to watch ur vidoes n also trying out the recipes has becom a new hobby for me . As i've seen, most banana bread recipe doesn't require any baking powder. Baking soda n yogurt alone will do the leavening part rite. Could u plz confirm if we can bake d cake without adding baking powder or is it necessary to be added.
