Cutting a Japanese Joinery Sunrise Dovetail Learning Hand Cut Joinery

The whole sunrise dovetail looks like it's a fake & won't fit. Cool stuff.

It’s mind jarring putting it together. I spend half the time trying to get it into the right orientation

I need to start learn how to cut dovetails.... you are hand joinery shaming me!🤣

Dovetails aren’t actually that hard. To get quick and accurate is hard. This one is difficult because every cut is a different compound angle and it’s really disorienting to try to line them up to put together.
