Floryn rose to the meta because: 1. Assassin junglers benefitted from the flower and global heal 2. Support emblem healing effect bonus 3. Low cd heal based on ally missing hp
Floryn is a really good support, and she is meta. The reason she didn't shine when she first released was because of the old emblem system and the meta at the time. The meta at the time was full of tanky junglers who have a lot of cc (good examples are Fredrinn, Tank Martis, Akai, etc.) but they lacked mobility, that is why supports like Estes and Diggie were able to either counter or compliment them. The support emblem wasn't as flexible as it is today and most of them that were better than Floryn at the time had skills that are more effective such as Lolita with her aoe stuns and the shield, Diggie with is purify ult and Estes with a lot of healing. Now with the assasin/damage junglers back in the meta Floryns kit can compliment them really well, that special item is useful and the global ult that can repel anti-heal is now very useful since they can be able to heal even the most mobile junglers like Fanny or Ling. Edit: Floryn is also banned in most matches bc of her synergy with Alpha and Uranus, but I think Floryn can also complement other heroes such as Esmeralda, Lapu-Lapu, Terizla, Yve, Xavier, Valentina, Lesley, Melissa, Brody, etc.
in a early game melissa vs Irithel it really is a skill issue. If Melissa hits all her puppets then she easily out trades irithel. But in mid to late game irithel does have an advantage over Melissa since she can just ult or sprint out of Puppet and 1v1 Melissa. So basically Melissa has to get gold advantage to win mid-game and position well in late game team fights.
I agree, outta curiosity , I played Lrithel and felt like she needed more attack speed till mid game. My opposition was Brody. It was kinda funny 😅 both of us were hitting hard but was so slow to finish the job early game 😂😂

Floryn is such a beast if paired with a nice lifesteal hero that she's getting banned in high rank matches, so if you want to learn a support, Floryn is defo a good option as of rn!
the thing with estes is that you have to keep up witb ur teammates to heal, while for floryn you can just chill which is why i think shes a good support rn
I play both of them extensively and can confirm Estes has a very hard time keeping up with mobile teammates that sprint/dash into a team fight. They'd all meet their miserable ends and leave me standing there looking at the enemy 1v4 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Floryn on the other hand can at least hit them up with an ult to keep them hanging onto dear life lol
I'm so glad floryn is thriving with the new emblem system ❤ her kit was always really good on paper, but moonton made it extremely underwhelming on her release. 😢 I still remember how quickly the hype leading up to her release disappeared once she came to the official server. Not to say she was a bad support before, but at the time almost all the other healers were much better.
As a support main, Floryn is really good. She can roam around and help the team easily and she can heal team wherever they are. I use Estes as well but the difference is Estes should always follow and on the side of his teammates. Floryn is flexible as well, you can build a magic item on her and use her as Mage. The only thing now is, it will only depends now on the skills of your teammates if they know how to play and push in the game.
so nice to see her getting more recognition. i made her my main ever since her release and a lot of players used to trash me for picking her or thought she was a mage. now, when they see her in my main heroes they suggest picking her
People compared her to Estes and being wayy too harsh on her for not living up to his continous crowd healing. Floryn and Angela are pretty much one of the best supports to surprise the enemy when they think their prey is very vurnerable at a low hp.
I personally think fleeting time is essential for Floryn because her ult is global so you almost always get an assist so you get very quick cooldown on ult.
@@tonyawad8201I totally recommend you build Enchanted Talisman as your first core item, since it shortens the cd of all your skills anyway and provides mana regen. You can build Fleeting Time as your second, or maybe third after you build Brute Force Breastplate.

I usually helps the jungler first for atleast they got the snail in the center of jungle (i forgot the name), and after that I immediately stick with the mm (then going back and forth to check mid) until i got level 4. But then again, it depends on who we encounter. Me personally, I like to use more defense item (leaving the cd reduction items or make it very last) for sustainability in the game. Any tips you guys have is appreciated to make my/anyone gameplay even better 😊
As one of the man who plays and main floryn since his release,i think she's always been a top tier , its just that people dont know how to play her. My mindset that time when she was released is she is better than estes and any other healer. And if you play her please dont do mage build and use flameshot, use vengeance instead she can tank whole damage of enemies and not die.
@@yeeyee1078 yes, I played a lot of floryn using flameshot back in the early days of released and get so many kills and steal turtle and Lord and it's good, but then the main weakness of floryn can be abused when you use flameshot, you can, t knock back assasin who can kill you while being invulnerable or fighters and tank that can taunt and knock you up. I'm not a fan of playing floryn in the backline and just use heal and pray that they can carry you, I think you can use floryn on its full potential if you use vengeance

Last one is the inspire meta, you can't heal if their dps can out damage your heal you are dead even before you can pres but yeah if you have better positioning than others and confident you can survive then it's a good build

In my mythic rank games, when enemies forgot to ban Floryn and have the opportunity for me to use it is also consider ab auto win for me tho. That's why for me Floryn is really good to use and which is she's my main now 😅
As a support player (Angela main), Floryn can definitely overthrow Estes not only for her global heal, but pair her ult with any anti-heal items and Estes's heal won't do as much. The other teammates can focus solely on their damage or tank builds more, as her ult also removes anti-heal as well. Perfectly paired well with assassin junglers. You can even spam that ult if you have fleeting time.
Estes is still a better healer than her lol, estes is a pure healer so if you have tanky heroes who do decent damage you should pick estes. I love playing as floryn and both estes but if we were to compare them both, estes is definitely better because his ult actually stays longer which heals his team's hp tremendously in those 4-6 seconds.
Healer supports can easily dominate early because opposing team never bother to buy countering items first. Idky there's this stigma about roles outside of tank and mage buying anti-heal. There are anti-heal items for all roles 🙃

i always go with vengeance when I'm on floryn. Since I'm also always getting targeted with bursts, with the dmg reduction of vengeance i can just out-heal their damage and can even return some.
I remembered that I have a rank game last season, my team uses Faramis as Mid laner and I used Floryn for roaming. The enemies didn't stand a chance and we ended the game so quick lol 😂

8:54 you can see that betosky pre-ulting early maybe because he hasn't played this hero for a while. There's no way they can die from vale's combo cause they're so far ahead and best way to utilise that is to bait the enemy out and you can do that by making them think your teammates are low in hp because of vale's combo and then surprise them with the heal when the enemy full commit. Just sayin'.
I might have to disagree on the part where Beto said healers are the easiest to get mvp. I play floryn a lot and usually get a perfect score (2,0,23ish) but since my teammates deal more damage or tank more than me (because I am healing it back for them) they usually get mvp even if their kda is a lot lower than mine. I’m glad floryn is getting recognized more tho
I have like a 80% wr out of 40 games with her this season coz she's the go-to support whenever I play with friends (our jg likes the global heals). I build mana boots and oracle on Floryn as her first two items to keep up with mana and boosted heals, then go with fleeting time for extra CD red. I can even pull out ice queen wand as the last item if I want more dmg and cc, or antique armor/immortality for phy def. I've had matches where my team would just stay at the enemy base and reap them as they respawn for 3+ min straight until the game ended. Pure insanity.
Yes, she's mana hungry, but with elegant gem, you can get defense boots, and fleeting time early, bcs you wouldn't have to sacrifice your very limited slots for enchanted talisman
Support mage build is always my Go to build for floryn but considering the team where there is no tanky hero, I think is much more fitting to go for defensive items. But still, like Estes, I think she shines more if she is paired with Tanky core and a Setter Exp laner.
tbh, the real reason why she is "trash" back then was people LOVE to build her tank build. like why? "to not get picked by assassin" etc etc. give her a proper support magic build to boost her heal and also to reduce CD and her overall support abilities like slow effect (use IQW) or NoD instead of dominance ice because she (and all healers) is a RANGED HEROES so just keep your distance and don't enter the bush recklessly, use your skill instead because all support has skills to check bush (in floryn case, its from her 2nd skill). if you wanna build tank, use tank then. supports are meant to support not to tank damage. the heal was there to make your teammates survive longer in fights while tank (with high hp and high def) to soak damage so ur damage dealer can deal damage to enemies back. many of us still stuck with "all roamers should build def item". while there is at least 3 types of roamers. which is healers, tankers, and damages (like natalia, selena, etc) and there's also cc mage roamer to utilize their cc skills that build CDR build (like vale with Full CC path or aurora with CDR to constantly freezes enemy. New novaria can roam too but not to tank or to heal but to provide visions and deal decent damage with CDR build). i had enough with people who think all roamers or all healer should build tank items. 1 or 2 def is fine like athena shield or perhaps immortality. but IMO, winter truncheon can give the better survivality but still, really depends on situation. I suggest to use Exp laners that are tanky and or has high regen capability like edith, thamuz, esmeralda or even ruby. all tanky fighter (that can also deal decent damage too) is a good "combo" in line up. even said so, u still have MM, Mage and assassin (Or any junglers) to deal damage and kill enemies when team fight happen. so pls, floryn was not a trash back then but a good buff and adjustment or even good revamp is always welcomed. though, i would consider rafaela as someone who desperately needs revamp especially on her trash passive and also her early game CD and heal (she has the lowest heal in the role of PURE support, not including minator because he is a tank, his job wasn't to heal but his heal can give a little help. to sum up, she one of the best healers thanks to her global ult that also nullify anti regen effect. one of the best partner to any regen hero other than angela or any other support. and please, build diggie damage! because dealing damage can help your team to finish enemy's off without having too much trouble. support always lack finishing skills (perhaps mathilda is an exception because she can burst down squishy hero with her combo if u build proper damage build).
Ok, lets say you take Florin as supp and dont make durability bild. And then you have mage, asasin,fighter and mm. So when team fight start, all that enemy team need to do is kill fighter and you dont have anyone anymore to soak all the incoming dmg. And if you take tank when you already have supp, you will have to give up on mage, mm, asasin or fighter and that is also not good.
I don't ever use Talisman only with Mathilda sometimes. I use the belt who gives me mana and fis def and CD red ... I always go full defense with supps.
I often use creeps and minions to extend the range of her s1 so that I can heal my allies without sacrificing my safety.I've been against Floryn in the enemy side and sometimes her heal comes late whenever her allies are being chased or when someone is getting bursted but the range of her s1 is not enough to hit the enemy.
But no joke. Babysitting the marksman is a must in other MOBA games. ML is different because you can move faster from A to B so you can support your other teammates. But if you think about it, it’s good when your MM gets fed cause of your support, your team will have the lead
Hey betosky, I took a massive break from mlbb and was wondering if you could do a video on jawhead or vale since they used to be my mains, im just not sure what build I should do with them!
This season I played once Floryn with team picking [Rafaela, Estes, Xavier and Ling] vs [Lesley, Layla, Harley, Esme and Nana]... We ended up winning 28 -13... Well Ling/Xavier knew how to manage their heroes, but also we were basically undead pushing machines when reunited late early game... But I believe we won only because we didn't allow it to reach late, when Layla and Lesley would start dominating us, killing our team before we could heal. But oh well, I will always say that in soloQ, a support/tank can make some changes, but in the end 90% it's a matter of how good the mm or jungler is... A bad team will leave the roamer underfed.
Tips for people who want to use Floryn Mage build is much better than tank build, never buy dominance ice or oracle, buy necklace of durance as your first core item and fleeting time as your 2nd
am I the only one who uses the basic common emblem on her?? I've been playing her so smoothly ever since and don't need to go back to base often especially in the early game where your team mostly needs your map presence and healing. I can prioritize building Fleeting Building time to make my ultimate more available often and necklace of Durance (if necessary) as my first two items. I mean it's not that bad to sacrifice the extra healing from the support emblem for a no mana issue early game. 🙂 I might be weird but 9/10 I win my Floryn games with this due to the early game pressure it gives
One of my last few games using Floryn was rekt. Opponent didn't get a single kill I almost felt bad for them.😬😬 Basically the score was around 20-0. They probably learned that day why Floryn is being banned all the time. Edit: I was Legend rank, mind you.
Betosky, try tu use a mage build with her, I use a build with clock of destiny, cooldown boots, magic book (i think thats the name of the item), bloody wings and for the last item, magic Crystal. You heal more than an Estes.
Can you play yu zhong next time he just received a huge buff hist first skill now receives more regen from spell vamp and the range for his enhanced basic attack is longer

8:54 you can see that betosky pre-ulting early maybe because he hasn't played this hero for a while. There's no way they can die from vale's combo cause they're so far ahead and best way to utilise that is to bait the enemy out and you can do that by making them think your teammates are low in hp because of vale's combo and then surprise them with the heal when the enemy full commit. Just sayin'.

I might have to disagree on the part where Beto said healers are the easiest to get mvp. I play floryn a lot and usually get a perfect score (2,0,23ish) but since my teammates deal more damage or tank more than me (because I am healing it back for them) they usually get mvp even if their kda is a lot lower than mine. I’m glad floryn is getting recognized more tho

I have like a 80% wr out of 40 games with her this season coz she's the go-to support whenever I play with friends (our jg likes the global heals). I build mana boots and oracle on Floryn as her first two items to keep up with mana and boosted heals, then go with fleeting time for extra CD red. I can even pull out ice queen wand as the last item if I want more dmg and cc, or antique armor/immortality for phy def. I've had matches where my team would just stay at the enemy base and reap them as they respawn for 3+ min straight until the game ended. Pure insanity.
Betosky, you can just get elegant gem(recipe of COD and the magic anti-heal item) for your mana in early game
Yes, she's mana hungry, but with elegant gem, you can get defense boots, and fleeting time early, bcs you wouldn't have to sacrifice your very limited slots for enchanted talisman

Support mage build is always my Go to build for floryn but considering the team where there is no tanky hero, I think is much more fitting to go for defensive items. But still, like Estes, I think she shines more if she is paired with Tanky core and a Setter Exp laner.
I got a 70% win rate with her, so long as your team does their job it’s a very good chance to win
tbh, the real reason why she is "trash" back then was people LOVE to build her tank build. like why? "to not get picked by assassin" etc etc. give her a proper support magic build to boost her heal and also to reduce CD and her overall support abilities like slow effect (use IQW) or NoD instead of dominance ice because she (and all healers) is a RANGED HEROES so just keep your distance and don't enter the bush recklessly, use your skill instead because all support has skills to check bush (in floryn case, its from her 2nd skill). if you wanna build tank, use tank then. supports are meant to support not to tank damage. the heal was there to make your teammates survive longer in fights while tank (with high hp and high def) to soak damage so ur damage dealer can deal damage to enemies back. many of us still stuck with "all roamers should build def item". while there is at least 3 types of roamers. which is healers, tankers, and damages (like natalia, selena, etc) and there's also cc mage roamer to utilize their cc skills that build CDR build (like vale with Full CC path or aurora with CDR to constantly freezes enemy. New novaria can roam too but not to tank or to heal but to provide visions and deal decent damage with CDR build). i had enough with people who think all roamers or all healer should build tank items. 1 or 2 def is fine like athena shield or perhaps immortality. but IMO, winter truncheon can give the better survivality but still, really depends on situation.
I suggest to use Exp laners that are tanky and or has high regen capability like edith, thamuz, esmeralda or even ruby. all tanky fighter (that can also deal decent damage too) is a good "combo" in line up. even said so, u still have MM, Mage and assassin (Or any junglers) to deal damage and kill enemies when team fight happen. so pls, floryn was not a trash back then but a good buff and adjustment or even good revamp is always welcomed. though, i would consider rafaela as someone who desperately needs revamp especially on her trash passive and also her early game CD and heal (she has the lowest heal in the role of PURE support, not including minator because he is a tank, his job wasn't to heal but his heal can give a little help.
to sum up, she one of the best healers thanks to her global ult that also nullify anti regen effect. one of the best partner to any regen hero other than angela or any other support.
and please, build diggie damage! because dealing damage can help your team to finish enemy's off without having too much trouble. support always lack finishing skills (perhaps mathilda is an exception because she can burst down squishy hero with her combo if u build proper damage build).
Ok, lets say you take Florin as supp and dont make durability bild. And then you have mage, asasin,fighter and mm. So when team fight start, all that enemy team need to do is kill fighter and you dont have anyone anymore to soak all the incoming dmg.
And if you take tank when you already have supp, you will have to give up on mage, mm, asasin or fighter and that is also not good.

I don't ever use Talisman only with Mathilda sometimes. I use the belt who gives me mana and fis def and CD red ... I always go full defense with supps.
Floryn was always the best but nobody knew before. Estes maybe better if you have a tank jungler, floryn way better if the jungler has high mobility

I often use creeps and minions to extend the range of her s1 so that I can heal my allies without sacrificing my safety.I've been against Floryn in the enemy side and sometimes her heal comes late whenever her allies are being chased or when someone is getting bursted but the range of her s1 is not enough to hit the enemy.
Now she's back to being forgotten
But no joke. Babysitting the marksman is a must in other MOBA games. ML is different because you can move faster from A to B so you can support your other teammates. But if you think about it, it’s good when your MM gets fed cause of your support, your team will have the lead

i build her with 2 magic items to increase her heal and it turns out really well
This season I played once Floryn with team picking [Rafaela, Estes, Xavier and Ling] vs [Lesley, Layla, Harley, Esme and Nana]... We ended up winning 28 -13... Well Ling/Xavier knew how to manage their heroes, but also we were basically undead pushing machines when reunited late early game... But I believe we won only because we didn't allow it to reach late, when Layla and Lesley would start dominating us, killing our team before we could heal.
But oh well, I will always say that in soloQ, a support/tank can make some changes, but in the end 90% it's a matter of how good the mm or jungler is... A bad team will leave the roamer underfed.
Tips for people who want to use Floryn
Mage build is much better than tank build, never buy dominance ice or oracle, buy necklace of durance as your first core item and fleeting time as your 2nd

am I the only one who uses the basic common emblem on her?? I've been playing her so smoothly ever since and don't need to go back to base often especially in the early game where your team mostly needs your map presence and healing. I can prioritize building Fleeting Building time to make my ultimate more available often and necklace of Durance (if necessary) as my first two items. I mean it's not that bad to sacrifice the extra healing from the support emblem for a no mana issue early game. 🙂 I might be weird but 9/10 I win my Floryn games with this due to the early game pressure it gives
You can just use mana boots, support emblem is way more beneficial for her.

One of my last few games using Floryn was rekt. Opponent didn't get a single kill I almost felt bad for them.😬😬 Basically the score was around 20-0. They probably learned that day why Floryn is being banned all the time.

Betosky, try tu use a mage build with her, I use a build with clock of destiny, cooldown boots, magic book (i think thats the name of the item), bloody wings and for the last item, magic Crystal. You heal more than an Estes.
