The band really took off after Richey's disappearence. Not because of the event, but they just generally wrote there best music at that period. Amazing that they managed to not only move on but also recreate themselves. Truly underrated band in my opinion.

The guy conducting the interview is really good. Just feels like he's genuinely trying to get at James' knowledge, doesn't feel cynical or hyperbolic

He was a great interviewer, and an absolutely evil human being.

What a cool thing to say about Richey - "He had everything"...

What an amazing interview, it's so great to see James speaking his truth and being himself. Sometimes people are here on earth to leave early and the band had to handle Richey's death while still young. They were to have that booklet with the lyrics and go to Canada and perform a great concert and give this interview.

The rest of the world's loss is Canada's gain with this guy. An intelligent discussion with a rock star! I need a lie down.

His family made the decision to change his status to deceased.
He's been missing for over 18 years, he won't be coming back.
It's just a shame that the greats must vanish so prematurely.

Maybe he is still alive. I hope so.

He is still alive and most probably living as a hippie. Its what he always wanted. He is allegedly in the US or Australia

It was Sean who said "don't do solo records", not Nicky

I wonder how many times James Dean Bradfield has had to listen to a presenter talk about the mental health problems and death of his bandmate. But hey, it makes a great intro

Critics who review albums are always biased so I'm not sure why bands pay as much attention to them as they do. Yes James said there is truth but even in bad reviews but music is so subjective, I would argue even more so then cinema and other arts, that different people are going to hear it differently. I personally don't understand why a band would place value on a single opinion over something like the general reception of the album by fans who are just as biased.

No, but in 2008 he was declared as 'presumed dead'. There is no evidence he is alive either.
