The fact that they didn't put it in the top 10 plays of the night is TRAGIC. I was so disappointed when I didn't see it there. To every NBA fan that see's that dunk it counted!

I agree with GG getting the time in the G League for conditioning.
I think he should get a few minutes each game when we comes back. No matter the results he needs encouragement (so I hope he gets off social media lolol)
We need him to hit the ground running but I don’t have hard expectations.

People will disagree with this, but what about just resigning all our existing people, some with shorter term contracts, definitely lock in Santi. But our chances of winning this year are extremely low. What if we run this team and watch them improve together.
This team is really good, I only see considerable improvement if, we kept the crew together, for the next two years. Edey and wells are going to be significantly improving each year and very likely, so are Vince and GG. Also, you have Ja, Jaren and Dez still years away from their prime. The only regression, if at all, could come from kennard, Clarke, smart, huff and Konchar, but my guess is they will maintain at this level.
How good would a team be, if you just kept them together?
My guess is morale would be extremely high. They would start playing together in such a bonded way, it could create an extremely good team. My guess is, players would work with the ownership to keep the team affordable.
The new apron rules, really would cater to this strategy. We are on the precipice of so many teams collapsing under the new CBA, who have traded their futures away. Minnesota, Phoenix and a bunch of others have so little draft capital and are such high salaries, their demise is very near. Even OKC, which is the healthiest team financially speaking, ABSOLUTELY EXPLODES IN 2026! Chet and JW are both up and they will get max rookie extensions, adding nearly 60 million to OKCs cap and then the following year, SGA, Dort and I think Hartenstein are up. Dort is so underpaid and that will change. SGA will get the biggest contract in history, both adding at least an additional 35 to 40 million on top of their cap. In other words, OKC, will likely have to downsize next year, ahead of Chet and JWs new contract, maybe waiting until the following.
The point is, Memphis is positioned really well. They are uniquely positioned and it’s because of the god awful season last year. We have all our 1st round picks, we are under even the luxury tax.
I think do the experiment of keeping as much of the squad intact as possible. Again, how much better will this squad be when Edey, Wells, GG and Vince have 2 more years of NBA experience? Ja, Dez and Jaren are hitting their prime? What would chemistry look like if a team like this, has 3 or 4 years of play together?

It’s a really good point. Memphis has a position of relative power in trade talks because either they can go explore butler, cam johnson, or whoever; or just keep cool and do nothing. They dont need to take a bad trade, not even a “good” trade, they can wait for that perfect trade for them if the opportunity appears

In my opinion, after the injury he had there is no problem in GG Jackson playing in Hustle before Grizzlies some games. You cant go from an injury like the one he had to full steam right away. It would be quite unwise

GG looked winded and tired. He has to get his wind back, playing how we play now it would have been to much.

Great win and wonderful to see Ja on his way to get his super powers back. I'll be ecstatic when turnovers go down against top tough teams like the OKC and the Rockets, not against lower-level teams that are incapable of forcing the Grizz to turn over the ball.

As Ja was running to the hoop, the whistle blew. But him and Wemby didn’t hear it. That why Ja kept going and Wemby jumped. Counts as a poster to me

Jake Laravia is playing really good. He is 45% from 3. I’d argue that Laravia is better than GG right now.
GG at the G league makes to total sense.

Looks like the offense is evolving more because we’re starting to see more pick n roll/pop scenarios….and I’m not against it!

I need to see that type of intensity against GOOD Western Conference teams. Taylor Jenkins tweaked his rotation pattern finally. Let's see if this continues or a one time thing.

Not much to say. We beat the spurs. No where near the same defensive intensity as the Rockets game.

Many fans loved Ja’s posterizing dunk. I didn’t like it! I think that the dunk reveals Ja’s mind a lot more than his physical ability. Ja will get hurt making stupid dunks! We need to trade Ja and get 5 first round picks for him. We have enough players to overcome the loss of Ja and the picks will set up the Grizzlies for the next decade. Let’s let another team deal with a hurt Ja that can’t play because he is hurt.

    • @rayr6405

Ja is the brains and heart and soul of this team. Trading him would be losing the identity they've all worked so hard to build. As for his dunking, Ja has become far more selective and takes very calculated risks now. To ask Ja to stop using his extraordinary abilities in the service of his team would be like asking the Sun to stop shining: simply impossible.

    • @colbybrand5326

Bro, you are clueless to how this thing works. No superstar would get traded for first round picks. 😂. That is the dumbest thing I ever heard.

    • @michaeljoy7132
      @michaeljoy7132 7 днів тому +2

If you are attempting to say his mindset and basing it off this one instance, why are you not also taking into consideration the many games that he didn’t attempt a dunk? You didn’t see those games? It’s obvious Ja is attempting to be safer than he has been in the past. He is not perfect but his actions prove he is trying to be.
