Thank you Tim for another really interesting episode! And for showing the value of going to the Park in the winter! So many cool and eye-opening views blocked by leaves in summer.
It breaks my heart to think about the soldiers having nightmares, and that not even sleep can bring them an ounce of peace or rest. Interestingly it seems this war is the first time in American history that doctors began to really examine the link between trauma and mental illness. They used names like “nostalgia”, or “soldiers heart”, or “irritable heart” to describe what we now call PTSD. What a heavy burden these men had to bear. I’m sure it affected them for the rest of their lives. Hopefully there were times when they found peace and happiness. Heartbreaking indeed.
That was interesting about Culp’s Hill 19th Indiana was crazy. The Iron brigade 2 Wisconsin company F monument is kind of obscure. Thanks for sharing these stories associated with these monuments. Thank you Tim. 💯👍
Tim, I was at the dedication for the 24th Michigan marker dedication. Scott Hartwig spoke. It was great. We were working to get a marker done for the 19th Indiana but we didn’t beat the NPS monument moratorium.
Tim - Has anyone ever thought about putting up a marker where General Albert Galtian Jenkins (C.S.A.) was wounded on the field by a Federal artillery shell or a marker at the John Major's home where he was taken? I enjoy your Monuments Monday videos! Thank you again!
Good video Tim.... I like the story of the Hoosier solider's nightmare who sprang the entire unit into action! It would be very interesting if position markers for the Confederate units were placed - if possible.
Philippi, in western Greece, is indeed pronounced “Fillip-eye.” However, Philippi, in WV is pronounced “Fillip-ee.” I used to teach there & now live near there. I enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻🙂
Again, and always, my thanks for all that you share. Always leave your sharings enriched.
Another great Monuments Monday. Thanks, Tim, for making Mondays special each week.

No, no one has thought about that? Pender is more deserving, but do you really think a monument to any Confederate would be placed these days?
Another great episode of Monuments Monday! Thanks Tim and ACHS!
Another great one tim
Keep them coming Tim. Always enjoy them.
Fantastic!
Fascinating! Thank you!

The 27th Indiana, a sister regiment, has a monument and two flank markers along Berry-Paxton Drive on the Chancellorsville Battlefield.
Tim, can you tell us about the Maryland units around Culp's?
