Why Are Those Colours So MUDDY?

Thanks for the video, I have a question, can we glaze with complimentary colours, I mean glaze green over red, it make the painting darker?

You bet you can! Let's say you have an area of your painting that is a red colour but you need it darker. You can take a bit of the compliment (green) and a small amount of red mixed in to darken the area but maintain the warmer hue.
