I think this man is a legend
I have been fan for years
I am 81years old September 2024 time is 22:08 that's dave for the music
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My late cousin and I used to find old broken bicycles and restore them for fun. Great video.
Dave is one of those rare artists incapable of playing a bad gig… the guy is sheer class, a truly superb musician. Geraint playing some great fills here, and the late great Micky Gee playing an absolute blinder as usual!
I wholeheartedly agree. As their monitor engineer I did two North American, as well as a Japan tour and other gigs.
I miss them all and wish we could go back in time.
One of the most underrated bandleaders and especially the keeper of rock´n roll and rockabilly all over the years. This is live music and the real deal, isn´t it?
Yep it's real
if Dave Edmunds were more popular he would not be what he is.he has his fans around the world
Geweldige zanger/ gitarist wereldberoemd met diverse groten der aarde opgetreden 👍 🎸 Onvergetelijk ❤ 🇳🇱 🌏
This lineup might be the best version of post-Rockpile Dave Edmunds.
for me this is the best band Dave Edmunds had live. mickey gee was twice the guitar player that Billy bremmer was. And i liked dave charles on drums way more than Terry Williams.
Of course it is! Watkins on piano and Gee on lead guitar are the real deal!
Better than the vaunted Rockpile in my humble opinion.
No one could beat
Mickey.
Thanks for posting this! Love it.
high octane rock n roll. class, style, personality, genius, it's only " rockanroll " .Finest "rocknroll"
This brings it all back.
Pre-Christmas shows at The Venue, Victoria in '81 and '82 plus a few others in and around London.
Remembering Mickey's face when Gary Moore was "Guesting" with the Dave Edmunds Band and giving some full metal widdles. Mickey didn't seem very impressed......almost looked bored.
One time when Billy was standing in for Mickey, he miss-read the set list and swapped to the accoustic one song to soon. Dave didn't notice until the song started and turned to see what was wrong then turned back laughing.
From supporting Tom Petty at Wembley to appearing with the Stray Cats in Hammersmith; I saw a lot of Dave Edmunds back in the day.......Hero!
Mickey was one of those guitarists that confused my senses. My eyes could see it, my ears could hear it but my brain couldn't join the two together.
Fantastic line up, all great songs.
I agree with the man ho said they are great songs 🎵 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I didn't know who Mickey Gee was. I seen him on an on MTV New Year's Eve show doing Run, Rudolph Run. I was fascinated by that one guy's guitar solo and I wanted to know his name. So I can find more videos of him playing that incredible guitar. I guess I found out who it was. Shame he passed away. Btw, I love this performance!
check out his old band Memphis Bend it's on you tube
I went to school with Micky.
Micky Gee und Geraint Watkins waren wirklich super. Auch als Willy and the Poor Boys oder mit Shaky.
Oder Carl Perkins 1985
John David wasn't exactly chopped liver either. In my opinion a better singer and songwriter in his own right than Nick Lowe.
Why is John David not mentioned? He was integral to much of Dave's best music, and a whole lot more over the decades. Bass and vocals here.
He is in the title.
Damn fine performance. Thanks for posting this.
Who else expected Switchboard Susan after I Knew The Bride...?
Wonderiffic !
"Who zat knockin'" (makes me laugh!)
Ottimo cantante.
Reina de corazones . memorable canción / memorable song .Dave makes me remind a lot to Buddy Holly
Fantastic show, as always, but the audience is DEAD!
Yes Kevin, they should all hold hands and try and contact the living.😃
Whats with the audience, are they alive?😃😃
John David - in so many ways a greater singer-songwriter than the better-known Nick Lowe.
I don't like Nick very much, but he is superior to John in regard to songwriting.
1:40, Shows we are all human.
@Slack Ratchet He almost's cocks it up but recovers, That's why Dave Edmunds looks around and laughs.
@@TheMart584 very subtle. ¡ dude !
@@mbogucci1 You're right! I'm crap with 'live' lyrics. Even Macca uses lyric screens on stage - even for his own songs!
Well noticed - Mickey Gee´s solo sounds well excluding the last view notes, when he doesn`t find the perfect "exit" out of it. But that´s live music. If Dave don´t look back to him and grins, no one cares about that moment, right? ;-))
