Thanks! If you're wondering what to do after the donut tutorial, I'd recommend a lot of the beginner Ducky 3D tutorials. But honestly I learned the most by having an idea of something I wanted to make and just start trying to make it, and when I'd inevitably run into a roadblock, I'd try and find a tutorial for that specific issue. I think I learned much more this way because it forced me to apply something from a tutorial to my own work, and I think it's easy to run through a tutorial and have most of the steps just go in one ear and out the other. But when you have your own problem to solve and you work to find a solution, that really sticks with you.

I know exactly how you feel actually. There are plenty of artists whose work I see and I immediately feel insecure and embarrassed about everything I’ve ever made. And I don’t think that feeling will ever completely go away. What this video doesn’t show is the colossal dissatisfaction and discouragement I felt for weeks or months at a time. I remember telling myself I wanted to learn blender(I was just doing 2d painting at the time) so I downloaded it and then didn’t touch it for a WHOLE YEAR. I let a year of my life go by because I didn’t think I deserved to be better or try something new. I’ve wasted a lot of time hating myself and my art because I kept investing in thoughts that weren’t even true.
