Awesome coverage thanks for posting 😎😎😎😎😎
Turn 4 got a bunch of them tonight........"Biden Check!". Too funny!!!!....Thanks, Cali you have the best coverage around!
Things have been messy at Ocean lately.
Great job as always!
I think Faccinto was convinced he could time the start and DJ wasn't having it. And after being so fast, Netto jumps the cushion. Doh! Thx CDV!
👍
Remember watching the race at the old San Jose speedway.
Marshall Sargent AL pombo
And Howard Keating ,those were great races on the high bank paved overal.
From Gwynn and James Spokane Washington 😊😊
I spend every Saturday night there back in the late 60's into the middle 70's. Miss those days those drivers and that race track.
Marshall and Al were the greats, I know this from my grandfather. I grew up with Mike Sargent, John Viel and Nick Rescino being the greats.
Dom should send a thank you card. Thanks for the uploads, can’t believe flo doesn’t cover any California tracks anymore, anyone know if it is the tracks or flo?
It’s the stubbornness of track promoters
@@AlohaNath figures, “hurts attendance” I’m in Pennsylvania 😂
Enjoyed your coverage again. If possible, could the Victory Fuel ad be relocated? It blocks the first 4-5 names on the race results. Minor detail. I look forward to your next post. Thanks again. Take care.
Super rare mistake was just to tired last night after a long two days of filming and editing all night.
@@CaliDirtVideos we'll let it go this time😋
Great racing as always. Did they get a decent crowd of fans?
Do any of the race drivers even know who Johnny
Keys was or how he died?😢😢from Gwynn and James Spokane Washington
Good thing Dom works for his family or he would leave California like all the other drivers who want to further their careers.
What is driving these guys out of California? I’m a sprint car fan but I’m out of the loop on this kinda stuff
@@bradtillis not enough 410 racing on the west coast,
I dream of being able to travel again. I cant help but think of how we could do. But i love California fans!
Its kinda sad to see this race dwindled down to 35 laps, when did it get so short, also ive seen more people in the stands at a little league game than the track, sad....
This was the absolute biggest race in San Jose back in the day. You couldn’t go anywhere on Monterey road and not hear about it. I’ve been going to the races since 1975. My family were all Sargent fans. As a youngster, I never had much interest in a driver, just the racing and the action itself. Then in 1981 (I was eight years old) a family friend Bob Witzel kept talking about this blue car he had already saw. This was the 1981 San Jose Speedway opener and as the cars came out for hot laps, the cars entered from the back stretch and I saw that Blue #7. As that blue #7 came slowing down the front stretch by the flag man where we were seated, I was standing up and Bob put his arm around me and pointed saying that’s who you go for. That blue 7 captured many memories of my childhood to teenage years. From that day forward until he retired, I was one of the biggest Mike Sargent fans. Mike Sargent was and still is and will always be a hero to me. Mike Sargent won the Johnny Key classic in 1981 with 7 laps to go. Howard Kaeding led the race and Howard’s rear end broke heading into turn one, Howard pulled out and the crowd likely over 5K fans erupted so loudly in shock and happiness combined. I’ll never forget Bob literally crying on his knees as Sargent drove through the checkers that night. There was this long line by the flag man to get Mike Sargent’s autographs that night. My mom actually kissed the man and told him helluva race. Great memories. Mike Sargent should’ve won the 1985 and 1988 Johnny Key classics as well. Might’ve won the 1986 Johnny Key if he didn’t get a flat tire coming out of turn four early in the race. The 1988 Johnny Key is always fresh in my mind as Howard Kaeding literally wrecked Mike Sargent with two laps to go, Sargent drove his ass off that night. Those were the days.
I felt the same way you did except I was a Howard fan. I look back on those years now and realize all those drivers were great it was the best entertainment money could buy!!!
Why are you covering up the top 4 finishers with a VICTORY fUEL advertising logo. NOT COOL
We all made mistakes after filming for 12 hours and editing till 5am. Sorry won’t happen again .
Great coverage, as always. No need to apologize. People can always buy their own equipment and start filming
