This was very helpful. And your explanation on groups and boundaries was something I never even thought of but makes complete sense! Thanks for for the informative video :)
Just found your page. As someone who does home organizing as a job, I've already been using these techniques, but I really loved the way your explained the psychology of why they work! I'm excited to watch your other videos as well!
I've recently become serious about making my house a more pleasant space to be in. I've been feeling conflicted about wanting less clutter while also wanting a (somewhat maximalist 😅) decorated space, which requires having *some* amount of stuff about, so I've been decluttering while adding decorative things, wondering if it is even possible to have things while not having clutter. This video has been incredibly helpful in explaining why spaces look cluttered and will be a great help in my process, so thank you for this.
Yes, somehow decor gets pushed together with clutter and villainized for being there. Where in fact all these pieces matter for our mental wellbeing. They store our memories and experiences. They bring us joy with their beauty. So glad you found it helpful. :)
@@AnaMarcu yes! I've been watching a lot of videos on decluttering and while I got some great tips I have been putting to use, I couldn't help but feel like the spaces were ... flat? I don't know how to explain it. Like yes, the home is neat and clean, but why doesn't it look welcoming? The almost complete lack of decor items really stood out to me (probably because extreme decluttering seems to go hand in hand with minimalism and minimalist decor). I want a neat home, but I don't want it *that* neat 😂 Thank you for responding, I will definitely be watching more of your content.
This is awesome and so timely found! We're moving soon and I have a whole new canvas to work with in the new house. Definately going to implement these strategies! Binged your channel tonight, it's SO good! You have such good examples, it really helps in both understanding your point AND finding my/our own aestetic!
For me, any extra item just makes me think “oh great, now I’m going to have to clean that too” so it’s more overwhelming for me. The less items the better. ☺️
Thank you Anayour explanation makes total sense for me and is very helpfull ! Would love to hear more minimal space organisation tips & tricks and information about how they work in your mind when possible...or can i find them somewhere on your website? I'am happy I found you and all your treasures on youtube :)
Thank you @aniz40. What do you mean by "minimal space organisation"? Or can you share with me the type of challenge you experience? Or is there a bit in the video that particularly piqued your interest, and you would love to hear more about it? Which one?
Hai Ana, thank you for reacting.. With Minimal space organisation I mean exactly what you where explaning in your video. How to live with less and with bounderies and groups so the space will feel open, calm, inviting and Spatial instead of overwhelming. Theme's I would like to learn more about from your expertise are: ' How to make my home as minimal and withvery warm appearance, and calm and inviting livingspace as possible. I have come across few minimalist houses that also had a real warm appearance. It's usually one (completely minimalist and somewhat cold and empty or the opposite). 👋@@AnaMarcu
