Mexico is not “difficult” at all. There is a large expat community here and some places are very Anglo friendly, Lake Chapala-Ajijic, San Miguel, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, parts of Mexico City. If you become “permanente” the Canadian government will withhold 15% of your income from Canadian sources, like CPP, Private pensions, OAS, etc and as a non resident of Canada you do not pay Mexico income taxes. Of course if you own property here you will pay residential taxes but that is a fraction of what taxes are in Canada. It’s seems to be a no brainer. But it’s not for everyone, it’s not Canada or the USA so you need to get used to that. The safety issue is mostly US anti Mexico media prejudice. You need to live here to understand it, but it’s funny to hear all these whiney Americans go off about crime in Mexico when American crime is off the charts!

You do not need to get residence if you are visiting less than 4 months in every country I have been coming to Mexico since 2011 and what you do, get out for 24 hrs pay a small fee of $25 to $30 and get another 6 months and you will never pay taxes in Mexico or whatever country as a tourist.

__I am checking out Nicaragua 🇳🇮 while traveling through Central America ( El Salvador 🇸🇻 being my main target though) and for the most part population have no idea about North American/ Western Europe wokeness and are inmune to it ( if you aren’t a online / media creature there is little chance you will run into the one or two middle class Latino Americano whi is exposed to Hollywood-Styled Americana BS) and the socialist leader and his party in Nicaragua have visceral dislike for all this corporate-capitalist-socialism stuff that make people into emotional b*ches. We, coming from the woke-infested countries make a fool of ourselves (playing into the woke masses and woke technocrats mind games) by looking away from the fact that what we are calling socialism and Marxist is pure neo-liberal slash neocon ( a.k.a Democrats elites and big part of Republicans = Rinos) corporate capitalism which have always played corporate welfare and is proven to be worst than the Marxist and socialism that we (rightly so ) grew up knowing to be ineffective. Nicaragua so-called socialism have been going on for decades and the amount of capitalist people fleeing North America and Europe to go to Nicaragua and even live there keeps growing by the days; why is that? Come on, family let’s use brain and common sense rather than react/ repeat mainstream media personalities talking points and sound bites: the so-called “strongmen” leadings many lower economies countries, whether marking themselves as socialist / Marxist or not, will blow up their nations before turning every man into an emotionally-triggered beta-male and every female into a bossy-political savvy female and number two is these so-called socialist or so-called corrupt nations the ones resisting also the corporate woke nations ( USA 🇺🇸 I am looking at you) from driving potential investors / tourists off with taxes, cancel culture, identity politics and nonsensical regulations
