Brazil you don't have that problem the beaches my god are unbelievable! The currency is 5 to 1. The people are thousand times better then say Honduras. You can get a place on a more secluded beach I'm sure for 75K. In Guaruja a world renowned beach and expensive there you get one for 90K. If you go a little off the beaten path I'm sure you get one half that price.

Another thing is Brazil is sort isolated in the sense of it's culture and language, it's very different than anywhere else in Latin America and people from the US are more familiar with hispanics.

I just invested on three brand new luxury condos by the beach of Reseva do Paiva in Pernambuco state of Brazil. This place is a safety bubble where you can wear a Rolex at night while you walk. The beach is amazing and the infrastructure is all new and well kept. Google: Reserva do Paiva, Cabo Santo Agostinho. The builders are Odebrecht, and Rio Ave. I’ve been around everywhere in Latam and this is definitely my favorite.

One thing after living in many Latin American beach areas, was the hot, dry climate I found too unpleasant. It took me awhile after being there to realize I would never want to live in and even opt out of visiting a hot, dry and dusty place. It depends on the ocean currents but some beaches are more lush, cooler and find those more pleasant.
@@christopherhouse7937 I like some of them. They vary depending on the ocean currents and the topography. There are issues living on the beach. I lived in the Galapagos and a few months of the year the beaches were infested with jelly fish, garabage or a bacteria that could make you sick. I prefer the mountains in Ecuador.

I’ve been to Santa Marta and Cartegna. Prefer SM, but wasn’t my favorite. I spent time on Ecuador’s beaches and was pleasantly surprised. Playa del Villamil is 90 minutes outside of Guayaquill. Continuing up the coast towards Salinas are a lot of awesome beaches. Salinas had nice beaches but wasn’t impressive. Yet continue up the coast to Montañita and Olon and the beaches are beautiful. Sunsets are terrific. Then you mention Roatan and I am there now. Lovely island. Not a lot of beaches. But great food and diving. Laid back. It’s hard to leave this area of the world.
You feel like you were late to the party. That's how I feel about everything. Hopefully, there will still be some good opportunities left by the time I get my stuff together.

Santa Marta is so hot. I lived there 10 years ago, idk man, not very impressive beaches, sure is cheap but the beaches in Colombia are very unimpressive other than the pacific which is really really dodgy. Palomino down the coast is a little prettier closer to Tayronna

Coastal land usually has to be "leased" in a trust, so you have to pay the ongoing fee and even if you become a citizen it's difficult to get out of the fees unless you sell the property. Live 50 miles inland and you can own it directly.
This is off topic but I have been curious about one thing which is never discussed. If you have a child that has a disability and that is a broad term, which is the best country where your child will get both medical and educational services so they can thrive?
Sao Paulo, Brasil...has beautiful beaches ⛱ , and some very good orthopedic services, (bring your own wheelchair), and the freedom to do homeschooling. The access to internet can provide much materials for a more rounded education tailored to the child's needs. Much of the McGuffey Series have been adapted to Portuguese (learning to read and spelling). Foods are great and decent weather. On the smaller towns, people are a bit more friendly or communicative. And there are non-profit grassroots organizations, that provide 👪 family support.
Climate change will change beachfront property landscape. Better to buy higher altitudes to safeguard against major climate changes. But LATAM properties are cheap enough to buy for fun 😊.

San Juan del Sur is a nice party/tourist town. I found the countrywide infrastructure in Nicaragua to be somewhat lacking. The east coast is actually more beautiful, but except for the Corn Islands, it's not developed (and perhaps not even civilized). I'm not stuck on the beach. You can always travel to a beach. I want good daily living, and there are many places in Colombia that I think do that better. Medellin is a wonderful place if you like large cities, and there are small pueblos all around it if you prefer to get away from cities. I haven't been to Argentina, but so far I think Colombia offers the best quality of life for me.
Heads up on Santa Marta. I know a tourist who was almost kidnapped there. If safety is a concern, I'd avoid any consideration living there. Cartagena has a very beautiful and safe central city with lots of police, but the beaches in Cartagena city are terrible. You have to go to Playa Blanca nearby which is beautiful but you'll spend the day being harassed by massage girls and have to constantly watch your stuff. Colombia has some great parts to visit, but the beach areas in the north are still sketchy and the governments there are corrupt. However, If you like the mountains and less of a beach person though, highly recommend Medellin which has some great neighborhoods.

I'd be curious to see a video from you on the current status of Switzerland from the perspective of someone with your uniquely extensive knowledge of such things. I AM a woman living and traveling in Mexico and there are a lot of safe cities. Cartela are found at the US Border also states like Jalisco, Sinaloa, Veracruz,Nuevo León, but there are a lot of safe places.
i wouldnt buy property in Nicaragua its just a bad move, why buy in a country with an unstable political system its high risk very high risk. Many other locations which are better in Latin America.

There's endless beach in Mexico, so you can get places cheaper, but away from the tourist areas. Minimal infrastructure areas. It is better to rent.

Ten minutes isn't much - just get a bicycle. Next time, pay a little more to be closer? It's economical, but for those working there the wages are very low. A friend has a house he rents for $100/mo. there - I laugh and say "how can you even maintain it for so little?"

Travel to Mexico while there is rampant cartel violence recently upon tourists , no thanks !
Most of the cartel violence is near the Mexico/US border. It’s better in the more established areas of Mexico, just keep aware of your surroundings.
I AM a woman living and traveling in Mexico and there are a lot of safe cities. Cartela are found at the US Border also states like Jalisco, Sinaloa, Veracruz,Nuevo León, but there are a lot of safe places.

i wouldnt buy property in Nicaragua its just a bad move, why buy in a country with an unstable political system its high risk very high risk. Many other locations which are better in Latin America.
