I couldn't go more than 5 minutes without terrible pain lol. So I 3d printed my own custom fitted face plate with a better gasket, and the cheapest AMVR tpu soft strap was plenty for me to be able to tighten up the strap more snug and never have pain. It wiggles a little bit but stays on better than the original. Was such a cheap upgrade for such a better experience, like 25 bucks maybe, I have no clue why they don't just ship with a basic strap attachment like the cheap AMVR one. Its bonkers! Get it together Zuck!!!
@@Riley_Christian Apparently their strategy with Quest 2 and 3 was like a console. They sell all that tech packed in at cost to make or even more loss, since they will make more off selling your data throughout its use anyway and it's the most aggresive of reasonable options - it's still THE Facebook itself after all. To the point that no other player can compete in the market in terms of price at least. No name change means anything actually changed. Also keep in mind... the software development cost to keep updating the device this long takes a huge brunt of cost alone, let alone all the R&D. No wonder they're bleeding millions and billions. Management/executive are out of touch to really know what the company is doing.. as usual.
I am so glad the youtube algorithm has blessed me with your channel. As someone who is a casual vr user looking to go a bit more hardcore your channel is perfect for me.
0:43 I AGREE COMPLETELY THE ONLY REASON WHY THAT I REPLACED MY QUEST 2 STRAP WAS BECAUSE THAT AFTER YEARS OF SERVING ME WELL,IT BROKE WHEN THAT I GOT MY QUEST 3, WITHIN MINUTES OF STARTING A SESSION, THE BACK OF MY HEAD WAS HURTING I STOPPED USING IT UNTIL THAT THE REPLACEMENT(SAME MANUFACTURER)FINALLY ARRIVED
3:39 Can someone detect me to a seller of the face tracker mount for the varjo aero. I had someone make it before but the parts that snap into the headset broke when trying to put it on.
I heard the big screen had a killer mic so you likely wouldn't need to mod mic. I've been tempted to get the big screen but I've been spoiled by the pancake and wireless of my quest 3
You're having longitudinal chromatic aberration in the form of colour fringing. This effect only happens on high contrast areas with optics that aren't perfected enough to eliminate it. Sony G Master and Sigma Art lenses resolve this effect well.
I suffer from neck pain after playing VRchat because I always look up, as all interesting stuff is above my eyes line and my avatar is short. IRL I normally look down like my monitor is below my eyes line. Any advice for me?
Just got my hands on a Quest 3 for a few weeks now finally giving my somehow still alive rift S a rest, and while I think the headset is great I absolutely needed to get a new headstrap lol. Personally got a BoboVR since I hadn't really looked for aftermarket VR stuff and decided it'd prob be the best option after some research, and MAN it made it 10x better (along with a cheap little nose light guard piece I got for like $8). It's cool that technology in the VR world is both advancing and becoming more affordable slowly, and I know the whole jockstrap design was probably to save money and stuff so the price could be what it is, but it'd be really nice if oculus/meta and some other companies put more focus on headstrap comfort and design out of the box. Again yk I love my Q3, but in a perfect world I should be able to use this like $500+ headset comfortably out of the box lol Also any and all officially licensed quest accessories are astonishingly expensive like holy hell man these bozos tryna charge 80 fucking smackaroos for a USB cable, who the fuck thought that was a reasonable thing to do 💀
My most recent vr comfort purchase was cable pulleys after my most recent cable for my old rift s broke. I can’t recommend them enough. Not having a cable run down my back feels amazing. I also haven’t crouched down and stood on my cable, only to stand back up and absolutely tear it out of my head on the way back up. It has upped my comfort, immersion and will most likely stop me from destroying another 100$ cable. It may not be for everyone tho as screwing a permanent pulley into your ceiling may not be appealing but I can’t recommend them enough if you have gotten everything else in your vr setup how you want it.
For the audio enthusiasts here... Try The FiiO BTR7 and BTA30 Pro combo for wireless Hi-Res audio. BTR5 is a nice alternative but it's not as capable for high impedance headphones. If you pair this with a nice pair of open-backs you will get (in my opinion) the best VR audio experience possible. It's got a wide AF sound stage and you will still be able to hear yourself and thus avoid shouting like an idiot. Consider the added weight, however.
0:25 best part i can't believe i found the type of mic i have looking for so long in a VR channel (big thanks ❤) vr-rocks lenses looks good i'm going this one!!!! ahhhhh wallet is crying after this video🥲
I run the HTC Focus 3 with the eye and face trackers, and now the full body tracker ultimates. *It is by far the best fully wireless all tracking solution I have ever used- period.* Im glad it's not popular, yet.
Man I loved this video. I definitely might cop that Mic for my content. Been meaning to get back into it thanks to the Q3's amazing comfortability. Hopefully soon I can get new glasses and get an updated prescription so I can cop those VRRock lenses as well. Thanks for the informative vid, and it was a great watch at an ungodly hour in the morning :)
I had the modmic for a year, which was exactly when it died and when the warranty was up. Forgot what happened to it but gosh It was a great mic, simple, fast wireless, great sound quality. It was just that unfortunate reason that I didn't like it as much as I should have
I got the quest 3 just recently and the default was ok…if using the default facial interface. I swapped out the stock interface with an AMVR one and the combo gave me a splitting headache after 30 min. Hated the frankenquest mod cause no matter how I tried to set it, it wasn’t secure to me and anytime I looked up it jammed the lenses into my eyes. The kiwi strap was ok but that was with the default interface before I took it back not sure how well it will be with the AMVR interface. Waiting on a BoBo VR strap to arrive from Amazon so we will have to see how comfortable that one is
i have a pico 4, and i wondered for a while why i would feel worn out using it after like 2 hours. eventually i realised it was probably the face cover, so i got a new one for like £30 and it made a waaaaay bigger impact than i ever expected... for the first time ever, i was playing until the headset ran out of battery, and it even improved the way the headset looked. there used to be this really annoying blur around the edges of my vision, but that got immediately fixed just by the face cover letting my eyes get way closer to the lenses, it gave me a bigger field of view too
Concerning the Rode mics The audio changes have to do with the direction you are facing in your room and position. Even with acoustic installations sometimes the slightest change in position and the direction in which your voice is being output, it can drastically change the sound being picked up by the mic. So it’s not the mic, it’s the environment especially considering it’s on the VR headset and there is a high possibility you aren’t in the same spot and facing the same direction for every line you record.
i have been using an old wmr acer headset but have always been a little disappointed with the resolution as i can count the pixels, i dont know a lot about resolution but im wondering if the you can also count the pixels on a quest 2 or 3 because reading with my acer headset needs me to be extremely close. My acer headset is also kinda falling apart so ill probably need a replacement within a few months
Video literally could not have come at a better time. I needed a comfort headstrap for my Quest 3 since I've been using the regular one for a month and want to die every single time I play for like 3 hours
Boneless do you want to join my group of UA-camrs, you can be a part of it no matter what cause you already made the list of the group because you are already cool and perfect.
I own several vr (quest2, 3 and WMR) headsets and a pair of ar rokid max glasses. I use the ar glasses for all 2d content, they are insanely comfortable and light. Can't wait for in a few years when VR catches up weight wise.
Dude, BoboVR M3 Pro is SOOOOO comfortable and I’d bet better than this one. It’s only $50 AND includes a battery pack. The comfort side of it is that it takes the pressure off of the front of your face and puts padded weight on your upper forehead and on the back head cushion. You have to try it!!
the quest 3's straps suck, they used plastic for the adjustment in the back i had to wear a beanie to soften it and even then it didnt go away it got to the point where my head started to go numb after a long session
I have a question about the quest 3. So, I own a quest 2, and do not own a PC, is it worth buying a quest 3 for immersion? is it that much faster? is it that much better graphically? or should I just stay with my 2.
I never noticed how bad the quest 2’s stock headstrap was till I changed it for the kiwi headstrap I can never go back, and now I wonder how bad can the quest 3’s headstrap be if Boneless says it’s the worst lol.
The Aero absolutely needs something like the comfort kit. Kinda insane that a headset this expensive has a flaw everyone can feel after only an hour or so of use, but man the visuals are amazing. Also, Boneless, you talked about the foveated rendering. Did you somehow get it working for VRChat? Is there a way? If so, it would be absolutely amazing if you - or anyone else - could comment how they got it to work. Both me and my GPU would love that ^^
Dude, the issue you are having are the same issues you have wearing NVGS all night. Have a look at what our good old GWAT players did to stop the neck issues.

It’s simple. Cost/margins and push you to their overpriced (like apple) and further subsiding store.
@@ThBlueSalamander yea I heard somewhere that they make more on accessories and from the quest store than the headset itself 😒

Honestly a bigscreen with an eyetrack vr mod maybe a modmic and AirPods sound like my ideal headset setup

Just set your height a little taller in the settings. Either on the quest or in game
Bigscreen Beyond
Wait does the quest 3 not have an audio jack port like the 2? Also how much did you pay for your avi
it does have a 3.5mm on the right side! For my avi, I had to learn unity and all that, but for all the assets it's probably around $130ish
@@BonelessVR oh good I was worried lol and 130 is great for such a well made avi ty for the quick response love your channel

how do you feel about the comfort of the bobovr m3 pro (halo) strap for the quest 3 vs elite style headstraps?
Invest in some nail clippers 😶
