Since he's a disassembly drone, he probably feels good when killing targets because he wants to be useful and wants to drink oil to not overheat. Like, N laughs when he kills not because he's killing, but because in his mind he's being useful and drinking his so-needed oil. Also, at the time, N only though of worker drones as targets, until Uzi came in his life.

Being honest N Is like that one sibling who has 2 sides the good and bad but he's only bad because he has to be during the v and j vs n and uzi fight there's a huge difference between how Uzi and N defeated j and v when it comes to that scene, Uzi being the serious one there and made it her opportunity to defeat J as for N he's the one who doesn't want to hurt V which is pretty much trying to kill him at that rate with no mercy and even spared her in the end There 2 different reasons for that being: 1.he just likes V and doesn't want to kill her 2. He doesn't like killing anyone unless he has to (which is he has to kill worker drones to not die) in my opinion I would say he doesn't want to kill the worker drones but he has to do it to fit in with J and V as well as to not overheat and self-destruct it's like a good guy in a bad situation

A theory about N: While J and V are more “massacre” types that specialize in killing as many workers as possible, N is more of a “combat” type, that is made more to deal with the Worker’s defenses so J and V can kill, he is less able to kill then the other two but more able to fight. Since the workers aren’t fighting back, N’s combat abilities weren’t really needed much and therefore he was seen as useless.
