EXACTLY! Finally somebody who appreciates Steve Walsh! He is literally in the top 5 of best male rock vocalists but since Kansas is more on the obscure side, not as many people will be blessed with hearing his amazing voice.
I have never hear this with just the main vocal track. It is incredible. It really isolates what an amazing vocalist Brad Delp was. I got to see him in concert once during the Third Stage Tour and feel glad I did. His is a death that I have never gotten over.
Love the ending. Can hear that a lot of what he does is one take, with the breaths being audible in between words. You'll never hear that sort of thing today in popular music.
@@calebproductions5970 I mean I think he's right. Brad, in his prime, is in my book the best rock singer ever. But, regardless of what you think of their music, Roger Daltrey has room to talk on this, and Adele is good enough that I can see why he mentioned her.
@@sheatiller2465 lol no one cares abt f-g adele even a year after her last release, ppl are still actively discovering delp (and the rhythm guitarist's backing vocals with are great)
Tom Scholz was the band, played everything on the first record except for Let Me Take You Home Tonight, that's the only track that the whole band plays together, the rest is all Tom Scholz except vocals. The other band members were hired after he finished making Boston except Brad Delp.
Actually, your only partially right mate, he had Sib playing the drums on the original debut recording. By the way, did you know that Sib dropped dead of a heart attack in the middle of a live performance during a non Scholz involved Boston reunion show on a ‘Rock Cruise’? (check them out, they’re amazing package cruises of the biggest rock groups of the 70’s & 80’s!)
What good artists have we now days. I don't think there will be another Brad Delp any time soon. A dearly missed musician in our time where music is lost in auto tune and sex. What happened to the real musicians.
Haha what? There are tons of real great vocalist out there not everyone auto tunes pop bands do and not everything is sex alot is even is was back then ask acdc to write a song not about sex lol
Ohh idk if im good at recommendations I listen to 70s and 80s music I love it grew up with it but im into heavy metal music so if I was to recommend something I would probably be wasting your time haha I personally listen to soilwork, in flames, tool, stuff like that but honestly best voice ever maynard hes in tool, a perfect circle, and puscifer all 3 bands are completely different from eachother there in order from hardest to softest if you want to check them out! :)
With the coaching and proper exercise, those who can carry a tune naturally can bring their vocals close to or equal to the very talented Brad Delp. Range can be stretched to an extent most would not believe they could accomplish.
Flawed & Inspirational. I grew up on these vocals. Singing as a hobby myself Im always down on my own work because all I hear are flaws. I still get compliments about the music but I always dismissed them as ppl being nice. I am nowhere near Delp’s class of vocalist, but I hear flaws that I cant hear with all tracks turned up. Delp sounds amazing alone but perfect in the mix working with his teammates. Maybe thats the key to singing better is trusting your bandmates and trusting the music. Thanks for lesson after all these years Brad!
This is sweeet!! is there a way to do this the other way? like remove the lyrics and just have the music? I've been tryin to find that for Van Halen's 5150 and I can't figure out how to do it
This is completely over the top awesome! I wonder if there is a similar software for Windows! I don't have an xbox but i wish the company that created the software will do the same and write something for Windows.
Brad was one of the few actual singers/vocalists in rock music. Most lead vocals are just shouting in tune though some could summon up vibrato. IMO Sebastian Bach and Don Dokken were about the only singers that would have been fit to open for a Brad Delp led Boston. But I digress. Now that I have heard the lyrics I'm disappointed in what those lyrics say. Even though Longtime was released first it's the same message as Marshall Tucker's Heard It In A Love Song: I've been here with you too long, the road is calling, so I'm leaving, with the added negativity of you'll forget my name anyway. Ouch. Oh, well not even downer lyrics can dim the majesty of Brad's voice (even though he did sound a bit scratchy on some of the notes) or Tom's writing, playing and producing.
I am floored by this guy's vocals. Holy s**t!
antonio ortiz. Without brad they arent boston
Best I've EVER heard. Loved him. He is MISSED.
Who's still listening to Brad's beautiful vocals!?
He was a perfect singer with an unmatched rock voice..
unreal ..... could be the best rock singer of all time, only Freddie is this good
Makes me smile and cry.
The epitome of a true talented singer. One in a billion! Brad Delp is truly missed along with other real singers from the great days of music.
No auto-tune needed. They don't make rock singers like this any more.
Yeah they do they're just not as popular
At least that they’ll give a contract to. They want more mopey green haired idiots.
Truly a voice of the '70's generation, amazing, Steve Walsh from Kansas was another powerhouse vocalist with lot's of Rock-n-Roll soul.
EXACTLY! Finally somebody who appreciates Steve Walsh! He is literally in the top 5 of best male rock vocalists but since Kansas is more on the obscure side, not as many people will be blessed with hearing his amazing voice.

A voice made of gold.
Man, those amazing high notes and vibrato at the end .................
Greatest voice ever!
So good! My all time favorite band and favorite vocalist.
Almost 40 years later this still is incredible. RIP Brad.
Love the ending. Can hear that a lot of what he does is one take, with the breaths being audible in between words. You'll never hear that sort of thing today in popular music.
It is great vocal work for sure... classic but not one take. I can hear all the comp joins.
GOOSEBUMPS!!!!
What a voice. Has never been, or will be, better. Love this. What a tribute to the beautiful man Brad was.
That's power vocals. They don't exist today. Delp rules. End of story.
Roger Daltrey said the only singer who can really grab a room today is Adele. Bar a couple of other popular artists, I think that still holds true.
@@sheatiller2465 what? That's his opinion. She isn't shit compared to this.

“Delp rules. End of story.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 That says more than any long, purple screed about the dude. And made me effin belly laugh, besides. 😂😂😂😂🤘
Love this man. Best voice ever. Miss you Brad!
The voice of an angel. Miss you
I was 13 when this album was released. Yes, I feel fortunate.
I was 10 and I know exactly what you mean. It was like magic.
That vocal just changed my life
Beautiful amazing voice, beautiful amazing man. Miss you Brad!
Absolutely AMAZING vocals!
Love his vocals. I've always been partial to Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Co.
I saw Boston in there heyday, Front row at Red Rocks. Best venue on the planet
We miss you Brad. Rest In Peace 🙏
Best singer in the world.best rock band in the world. They had the best chemistry.
Did you know___Brad Delp did all the vocals on the first 3 Boston albums and I believe part of the 4th.
ruthann lange Brad Delp was not involved with vocals on the fourth album
Maple Ridge Mafia You spelled Steve Perry wrong lol
Tom Scholz was the band, played everything on the first record except for Let Me Take You Home Tonight, that's the only track that the whole band plays together, the rest is all Tom Scholz except vocals. The other band members were hired after he finished making Boston except Brad Delp.

Crazy good...Brad Delp is soooooooooooo good!
Definitely one of the most underrated singers of all time.
Brad was a good friend. We spent many hours talking Beatles and going over his Beatle cool-lection :) :)
One of the two imho best rock singers in the world. The other one is Paul Rodgers.
I wish there was singers like this now. R.I.P. Brad.
We'll NEVER have this again. What a gift he had....gorgeous. And a beautiful man to boot. What a loss.
There are, but they are mostly singing metal.
Look up Russell Allen....he's one of my favorites next to Brad
vocals amazing..... gods gift.....
Wow. This is how you sing kids.
The Voice of God !
This guy's singing was amazing from day one
His vocals have not been replaced but still a good show today.

I suppose your right but I just cant find any good artists, any recommendations.

fred leparski thanks appreciate it mate
hahah brad is insane!! hes amazing at the end!
What a great voice that will solemnly be missed among other gr8 voices like Karen Carpenter among many others.
"CC" camarocowboy Brad Dell was THE male voice and Karen Carpenter was THE female voice. There are no others that compare
ridiculous talent . nobody sings like that anymore.
Right around 3:43 it sounds like part of his throat pops open and some crazy whistle note sounding overtones kick in, his voice is a weapon
just got the chills up my back.
Spectacular!
This gave me chills! Thanks
This gives me chills omg amazing voice brad had 🥰☺
I L-O-V-E this!! Do you have more of Brad's vocals only? Absolutely FANTASTIC! W.O.W! Man, I miss you Brad.
rip brad
Thank you so much for sharing. So cool. Part of my personal soundtrack now.
BRAD HELL YEAH! JUST AMAZING!❤🙏❤
how could a talent like this struggle so mightily...something to really think about! rock star aint what we all think it is...
Got to be the best rock singer of all time...sorry Freddie
Just different.
I don't know about the best, but he certainly had a much wider range than Freddie. He also had a "pure" voice and took more care of it.
You're right. The best.
Amazing voice!
Yhank you mr. Brauer

November 3, 2018.... 6 people wouldn't know a real singer if they were to trip over him.
Rob Irwin TOUCHÉ MY FRIEND, TOU.FKN.CHE'!
BRADS TONE IS WHAT SET HIM APART
I can honestly say that I was not gifted with a voice like Brad's.
this is great!
Uh, thats thank you mr. Brauer.
Perfection
Is this Ryan Quinn? This was easily the top three vocalists of pop music in tha last 50 yrs.
Miss you Brad
man what range had all there albums
I recall hearing Brad say that this wz his favorite song to perform...3:42..there u go!
Wow!
He sounds like Freddie Mercury a little

How did you strip the music tracks its awesome.
I turned down the guitar and drum tracks on Rock Band 3 on Xbox
This is completely over the top awesome! I wonder if there is a similar software for Windows! I don't have an xbox but i wish the company that created the software will do the same and write something for Windows.
Danny Brehm that is so awesome, I would love to be able to do that with so many different recordings.
why are the harmonies turned down..
01:36
Say his name!
I can't hear anything?
He’s like the 70s rock version of Paul McCartney.
Well he was a huge Beatles fan
2020
damn it doesnt have the harmony vocals here..
😳👍🎙️🧔
Sounds like they had the air conditioning on in the studio.
Brad Delp was awesome

Such a tragedy. I hate Scholz.
Hate Sholtz? pffft. He didn't kill Brad.
janderson2000 Yeah I agree. What the hell is all the hate towards Tom for? Especially regarding Brad’s death??
Everyone is their own man.
