The scum villain novel is so confusing from Binghe's pov. First his shizun hates him, then he's nice and Binghe reconciles his former abuse with this by rationalizing that he was only trying to make him stronger, which makes him feel bad for doubting his shizun. (Don't feel bad, Binghe, he really did hate you.) Then shizun does something terrible to him which brings back all his former doubt and anger but also doesn't erase the fact that shizun WAS nice to him and protected him. It's a wonder that poor kid's still sane
Your video does a really good job of showing how Binghe feels about Shen Yuan and his own questionable feelings of self-worth. "I don't deserve you" could so easily be applied to both of them, which is really part of the tragedy of their misunderstandings. Each one wants to love and be loved and doesn't realize that they already are

Poor guy went through such emotional whiplash. Shifu hates him, shifu adores him, shifu hates him (so it seems) and throws him into the Endless Abyss, and so on.
I am curious of what would have happened had SQQ fallen into the Abyss with him.

If this is based on Binghe's pov, this novel would be a tragedy not a comedy. Luckily, this is a novel whihc is based on Shizun's pov and I have a good laughs.

Actually if you read all three novels of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, you will see that they are all written based on bottoms' pov. If we switch it to tops' pov, it will be much more tragic than original books 😭

Shen QingQi outer character is just like Lan Wangji, cold and composed, but his inner self is like Wei Wuxian. He is the most funny and enjoyable character. He really makes me laugh :D

I'm not going to lie to you, Shen is great and made me laugh a lot. But, I fucking identified with Luo Binghe throughout the entire novel. He is an insecure, abused, and hated character... No one ever chose him, and when a person treated him with respect, he fell incurably in love. He has the innocence of a child, hurt and lonely. I love him so much.
We must love him. He deserve all love of this world.
I think with this explanation, I finally understand why people are talking about yandere Binghe... He loves his master so much because of his respect for the great master and care and love that Shen Qingqiu gave for Luo Binghe after his foster mother's death. He developped it as love and was holding on to it so dearly and tightly, more than the love that any of the women of his harem of the original novel. He probably felt that Shen Qingqiu is the only one who may understand him which is why even if Ning Ying Ying was the only one cared about him throughout his childhood (they defined it as childhood friends from what I remember?), it wasn't as powerful as the one his master gave. He is just unable to accept that his master hated him for masterising demonic cultivation and was sorta pleading for him to stay
Both were confused . I just completed reading the novel and realized that sqq didn't wanted to throw lbh in abyss but system gave him warning so he had no choice . Later lbh after coming back was very confused whether sqq liked him or not and sqq was confused whether lbh had become like the very bad luo binghe or did he still had soft side . But I am happy , it has very Happy ending . What's best is that this the most funniest mxtx novel . It is hilarious when system pops up at strangest moment , and sqq freaks out !

He did have a choice - he could have just asked binghe to go into the abyss by himself. SQQ unfortunately only realises that in the end of the novel.

(which of course is the gimmick in the novel, because he misunderstands Binghe for much of the story and misses Binghe's internal journey of fear & loathing to love & fear of abandonment). In the tv show we can see Binghe reacting, so it's less ambiguous. Still, SY's experiences and POV are the center.

I was thinking the same thing! From LBH's POV it looks like SQQ moved on from him in the novel when he came back. He had Gaoxing with him (who apparently looks a lot like LBH) and didn't even go up to him when they first met again in three years. LBH had to search SQQ out and the whole time SQQ was between scared and blaming him for everything during the whole sower incident. I don't blame LBH at all for exploding.
If the novel was from Binghe's point of view,bro...I would have cried a lot.
Despite all the mistreatment that Shen Jiu gave him as his Shizun, Binghe only needed a show of affection from Yuan'er being Shen QingQiu to forgive him and put him in the center of her heart and give him such devotion.
I will never tire of saying that SVSSS is my favorite novel and Luo Binghe my favorite character

I always wonder though, if Shen Yuan transmigrated into Shen Qingqiu's body without any prior knowledge of any of the characters and plot, would he still have treated them the same? Like if he didn't know that Binghe was the OP protagonist of the world, would Qingqiu still believe in him and go out of his way to save him? And would he have saved Liu Qingge without knowing the benefits of keeping him alive? It makes me question what Shen Yuan's personality was like in his old life.

This is the novel I most enjoyed. At first I thought this is a sad novel but after reading it damn was I wrong 😂😂😂 shen qingqie is hilarious and lou binghe is so crazy about his shizun. And I loved the ending and the extra chapters were just lol cucumber bro and brother airplane are the best 🤣🤣🤣

In Novel our little adorable Binghe truly madly deeply inlove with him Shizun. His Shizun is the only person that he trusted, adore and love and cherished. Later, of what happen in the past tragedy misunderstanding, he think that his Shizun was leave and abandon him because he's not strong enough to protect and doesn't deserve him. He never know that his Shizun was nice and protect him too.. Because of that" misunderstanding"..

In all fairness to LBH SQQ was blaming him for so much (even though he wouldn't listen to LBH's side for years) and was completely fine never seeing him again once he was resurrected. LBH picked up on that and I think he somehow realised his Shizun didn't see him as an actual person (which he admitted to) until almost the very end.

I honestly love the qingqiu in the donghua more than the novels, in the donghua his expression can be seen that he really is love binghe even it's out of pity. But in the novels i don't see him love binghe even after in the end it just, lack something to be honest. But still love SVSS

I felt that they were in love until SQQ came back from the dead. Not once did he tell anyone he sacrificed himself for LBH and instead he let everyone believe LBH forced him into it. He never clarified that even though it would've saved everyone so much pain and confusion. Even then he treated LBH like a character and not like a real person. When SQQ came back from the dead he didn't seem to care at all about LBH. He was all "I'm free! LBH? That's someone else's problem!" That bothered me so much.
It wasn't until Original LBH came back that I felt they were a real couple.

I loved the novel so much. I cried so much, I laughed so hard, but the ending felt rushed. And I couldn't feel the love of SQQ towards LBH. Surely he loved him but it more felt like childish and rather an option for him. Like what can I do now, I just have to accept him. Overall the novel is really great if I ignore the ending and it would have been great of they gave more chapters to the 2nd lead.
I understand you, I also have problem with shizun's love, but I think the extras here helped me understand his feelings, they are complicated

SVSSS is the mxtx im least fond of. We know why the characters are acting like this, why they become like this. Full of misunderstandings and toxic at some point, and im not into this kind of plot. That's why i rlly like healthy one's like in TGCF. The funny monologues of SQQ are the best tho! 🤣 But i rlly like the fluffs in the special chapters. Bing-ge, bing-mei😻 Im not into it, but i like it somehow either way :)

Considering the way SQQ looks at LBH... It's no surprise the boy fell in love beyond all reason. One cannot just look that way at a teenager, who desperately needs love and is petrified of abandonment, and then be like "meh, I haven't done anything, where did it come from??"
But SY is a bit of an idiot, deliberately blind and deaf, so... So any humor of his turned bitter in my mouth, and the funnier it got - the worse I felt.
Very good job on the creators part, though. They visualised it perfectly.
