    Looks delicious and I'm sure it tastes good too. My people never added gari to owo soup, the potash was enough to make it thick and that's how I still make my owo. I guess I'm still old school.

    Sis the fish you dried yiyrsskf us so impressive. I love this soup do much. No matter how I do it. Smoke Mackrel scatters in my food..so I cant dare put it early. it. Colour looks pretty..Yam will go well with this.

      It's a very palatable dish of Nigerians can be eaten with yam, plantain or starch. It's very easy to make with tomatoes, crayfish,oil. We Nigerians enjoy it

    The Uhrobo kind is better, but I grew up on this. It’s delicious with unripe plantain. But the Uhrobo one goes with starch.

      Bini use starch as well and plantain fairly ripen and yam too. Urobo and bini have always lived side by side till date. We bini love starch more than anyone and it is very expensive in Bini

      Thanks for watching, sorry I didn't reply earlier I was a little busy😅 when your Owo is cooked, you will allow it to cool down, then you will add the palm oil. Then you stir it togheter to mix the palm oil and the Owo. When it's well mixed, you put it back on the fire for 2 minutes and your Owo is ready!

      SADE ELA KITCHEN nice cooking. am from URHOBO and I know there are different ways of cooking this owo but I have never seen the Benin cooking owo like this I don’t think this is how they cooked it and the part that shocked me most is living the soup to cool down before adding the oil . please ma I don’t mean any disrespectful here but this is not how to cook it .

    This is lovely! Pls can someone answer my question? I made the soup exactly how it is in this video... It didn't turn yellow, it looked kind of red more like stew although it tasted nice... Pls I'll appreciate answers... Thanks

      make sure that when you cook the soup, you should let it cool. or did you add a lot of tomatoes? because the amount of tomatoes inside any dish can alter the color! thanks for watching ❤️

      Next time you make, when you are done cooking , allow to cool down for a few minutes, add some palm oil and stir

      Till when it’s completely cold, don’t put it when it’s hot so the oil doesn’t make it lumpy.
