Quick tip: If you don’t want to buy fertilizer at some point you can plant oilseed radish, when it is ready to harvest you cultivate it under and it acts as a natural fertilizer.
if you are going to use hired workers, go in settings and there is a section for ai workers. disable their permissions to NOT allow them to buy seed or lime and what not. that will save you a bunch of money. with those settings turned on they dont use the materials in your machines and everything they put on the field costs you extra money.
You probably won’t end up seeing this but what I like to do sometimes is put the time to real time while I get all the fields cultivated and seeded with fertiliser ready to grow and then put the speed to the fastest unless I have other things to do ie. feeding cows, selling grain. That way the plants are ready to harvest quickly as on real time it can take up to an hour real time for the crops to be ready to harvest
Those blue lines represent the width of the implement you are using. And you need to activate the steering assist once you are in the center line. DJGOHAM has a great video explaining it.
I've been playing farming sim since 2015. Its been great to see the game evolve into what it is today. Enjoy the struggles of farming trev and good luck. You gonna need it bro 😂👍
To know which Tractor to use, you should check the Horsepower requirements of the tool you are using in the Garage interface, then compare it to the Horsepower of your tractors
Hey Trev! Loving this series! One tip is that when you're hiring workers, they cost you a ton of money because they are buying fertilizer or lime or seed or whatever they're doing as they go. In settings you can change it so that they aren't buying it as they go, and instead use the material that's already in the machine. It'll save you more money! (and in the beginning that matters a lot!) Keep up the Great work!
I would keep Seasonal Growth on personally. Just a recommendation. It makes it more immersed and fun, but then again I've been playing since Farming Sim 17 lol. Also, Stubble Tillage is "the state of the field after working it with e.g. power harrow, disc harrow or shallow cultivators when the field surface is a mixture of soil and stubbles/harvest leftovers".
Don't worry too much about feeding the animals before they run out. They don't starve in the game, they'll just stop producing material/reproducing which isn't the end of the world whilst you're learning the game
I'd have to say, FS along with American Truck Simulator are probably my favorite two out of all the simulator games that exist. Even more so the development teams and the fan communities for both games are very good.
In the shop you can go to the % symbol to look at the availible second hand machines. These change from time to time and they are a lot cheaper because they have been used. Only downside is that you need to spend more on repairs.
When it comes to tires the bigger the better thinner tires will compact the ground more due to the weight distribution. Bigger tires or tracks will spread the weight more evenly. Love the series trev good work❤
Woohoo! Exited for some new videos of farming sim! I must’ve missed the first episode but I just got notified of this one now so I’ll have to go back and watch episode 1.
When you enter the shop there is a percent (%) sign with a circle on the outside. These are all of the used vehicles and implements and they are much cheaper than the new ones.
Glad you are enjoying the game! FS series has always been great. If you get a chance, when mods start rolling out, I would highly recommended trying them. Mods make this game even better
I enjoy the fact that as a city boy, you are going to get an appreciation for what our farmers go through in order to give us what we see in the stores. They do so much!
In farming sim 22, there was a mod for store deliveries. It would deliver anything you bought to your farm, just charged an additional 4%(?). Not sure if there is a mod for it out yet in FS25
I have been playing since Farming Simulator 15 and all I got to say is it's such a fun game you are really going to be in for a ride once the mods start coming in mods in this game is so much fun I have been watching you for a few years now but honestly this is the best game I think I've seen you play yet I like seeing you enjoy something so simple
Trev, if you go and look at your owned vehicles, it will show you the max capacity of said vehicle/trailer. also im not sure on M&K bc this will be my first year on M&K but there is definitely a button to empty whatever you have in your trailer (i.e fertilizer) it should be in the top left (unless they changed the "show controls" spot) edit: scratch that you figured that part out at @21:22
You can fill the spreader with lime and then empty it which will leave the lime in bags next to it. Make sure to keep an eye on your maintenance. If maintenance is low then vehicles will loose power, drive slower and harvesters will harvest less gain from the fields.
The size of your tractor is more important depending on the equipment you are pulling. For instance a plow will often require a weight on the front of your tractor and you need enough horsepower for bigger plows. Narrow tires matter if you have crop destruction on.
hey man! you should def turn off "automaitc engine start" its awesome. u can get out of the tractors and leave it running if you want to. more realistic
Read the descriptions on your implements. It will tell you how much horse power you need. The you can use the correct tractor for a given tool. Cultivation before planting. Some planters will cultivate while they plant. Plowing will also help with increasing your yield but it will produce stones that will need to be picked up or rolled back into the ground depending on size of stone.
When using GPS you have to press the same key again i belive it's h although I may be wrong that will keep you in a straight line but you'll need to steer, and when fertilising you may need to adjust the working width within the GPS menu, you might of figured it out I've not watched it all yet but yk Should of watched a few more minutes 🤦♂️
