How would you rate these desserts??? Fried Oreos NEED a cream cheese dip OMG!! Go to bit.ly/3HQfEXR and use my code ICING50 for 50% off your first order of Care/of!
I think the ice cream works better in a deep fryer cause it's in less than a minute at hotter heat. Fried oreos (like at fairs) are also usually dredged in egg and flour so you get a more proportionate breading to cookie ratio. And I think I've seen some with a chocolate coating (either actual chocolate or Nutella) around the cookies so the "dip" is inside.
I also miss those videos. Those are the reason I subscribed to her channel and her personality to but I like watching her decorate those cakes. Please bring them back Lori. We miss those vids.
Minor notes: - "fried" ice cream is delicious. I've done it in the oven under a broiler, I did it once in actual oil, have not tried it yet in the air fryer. You need to crush up the cereal a lot more than that though, think of it like crumbs that you'd use for a pie crust. I've actually never seen it done with chocolate, I've always used vanilla and then served the warm dessert with honey or caramel sauce on top. - This is a very minor nit, but it bothered me so I'll mention it - crescent rolls and croissants are only similar in terms of shape. Every time I heard "croissant" my inner voice screamed "that is not a croissant!".
Saying "crescent roll" is just strange to me, maybe because in Western Canada, where I live, we are less saturated in French culture out here and we over compensate, lol!. Croissant is just French for crescent, after all. I totally agree about the deep fried ice cream, vanilla is the way to go, the crumbs should be finely crushed and it is delicious!
Deep fried icecream tastes delicious! The ones I've had usually are a lot more crispy on the outside, I think they might have been rolled in a dough or batter of some sort Great video as always Laurie!
I've only had it at sushi places (only in Las Vegas, they don't do that in Hawaii where I'm from 😂) But it's usually coated in a tempura batter! It's amazing, crunch on the outside and super fluffy on the inside.
In the UK, we've been splitting bananas, sticking slices of snickers, or any sort of chocolate bar in them, wrapping in foil, and sticking on the BBQ at the end, for kids to have with marshmallows. They love it, and you just did a healthier, indoor version of it.
Hilarious! Definitely going to try the rollup, but honestly you could demo anything and we would keep coming back for more. Your joy and humour is unmatched.
@@jorilu822 I imagine this would be great with anything you could do in a basic PB&J, subbing jam/jelly for fresh fruits or even forgoing the fruits entirely, or using the jam/jelly if that's what you have on-hand. If you like (and can have) nut butters or sunflower butter, that seems like an easy go-to! I've done similar as a filling for crescent rolls in the oven (air fryer works too), like custom mini pies :) Which reminds me, I'll bet pie filling would be just as good! I know you asked this a few months ago, but it's never too late for more dessert ideas ;P
The baked Oreos are my faaaaavorite!!! I’ve started cutting the dough so it’s more of a Rangoon closure around it so that way there’s less dough on each one and I get more cookies out of the dough!
We did the banana boat in Girl Guides over a fire. We did chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and a sauce of your choice. Wrap it in tinfoil and wait for the toppings to melt. Freaking amazing!
When I was a Girl Scout Leader and we went away to camp, we would make "banana boats" for dessert. We would slice the banana open like you did, add chocolate chips and marshmallows. Wrap them up in foil and pop them on the grill. I enjoyed it and so did the girls.
Here in Michigan we do the bread/chocolate/fruit with butter on the outside as a campfire treat - we call it a Hobo pie, but we don't roll it. It's so good over the fire! Also try canned pie filling instead instead of the chocolate/fruit!
That Oreo croissant one looked so good! I do agree that it definitely needs some sort of dip though. I love these testing videos to see if food tik toks work! Thank you so much for making this video!
Fried ice cream is a common Dessert at Mexican restaurants here in Texas It is truly delicious, I can’t imagine ever trying to make it at home or with an Air fryer though lol
the banana thing... we used to do that in Girl Guides around the campfire, but it was called "Banana Boats". you add whatever sweet things catch your fancy, wrap in tin foil and then place in the campfire. the result was amazing :)!
I've only ever had fried icecream at Mexican restaurants and they typically use cornflakes (not crushed). It's deep-fried and they cook it enough for the cornflakes to get crispy and hot, and the icecream is the perfect texture every time (not melted and not rock hard). It's some kind of delicious magic!
I think our restaurant just fries the corn flakes then roll the ice-cream in the fried pieces. Then they re-freeze them so they are ready to go when ordered. Served w caramel drizzle and whipped cream.
The air fried Oreos are mine and my husbands favorite! We top with powdered sugar and a drizzle of chocolate syrup served warm with vanilla ice cream!!
Okay, hear me out. Take the frozen ice cream ball and wrap it in the croissant dough, THEN air fry it. I'm only to the banana portion of the video, but I hope someone else thinks of this 😂

For the best results they need to be fully coated to prevent leakage and fully submerged in oil to seal the ice cream in. Love your channel! You guys always make me smile and Archie is the best boy!
The one with Nutella and strawberries reminds me of something I have made before called Cinnamon Stick Roll Ups (also called Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll Ups). With those you cut the crust off the bread and flatten it. Then you spread cream cheese on the bread and roll them up and dip them in butter and cinnamon sugar and bake
I agree with your healthy vs unhealthy dessert scale! my mom is vegan and also tries to remove sugar from desserts all the time 🙄 so when she asks if I like something, the answer is “it’s really good for a healthy snack.” …But if you make this for my birthday then you won’t be invited again 😂
Omg the ideas youve given me! First the bread one…use the croissant dough! And banana/peanut butter & banana/nutella in addition to nutella/strawberry Second i wonder what wrapping the dough around frozen balls of oreo or chocolate PUDDING would taste like? Or CHEESE like little grilled cheese pockets! I never thought to do any of this and they all sound amazing, thank you! 😋💗

Here in Australia, fried ice-cream is a common item found on the dessert menu of Chinese restaurants. It is delicious, most often served with caramel or chocolate topping. Do the bread roll up thing but with apple pie filling and add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar to the roll up after it’s buttered. I made an oven-fried version of that before and it’s amazing.
Fried ice cream is delicious. But I have tried the deep fried one only. The oil needs to be like extremely hot so that the crumb coat gets crispy and hot in literally seconds while the ice cream inside is really cold and kinda hard but not too hard, just that perfect hard

For fried ice cream crush up walnuts in a food processor and use that as your coating. But fry for 1.5-2 minute but lightly spray/brush the outside with veg oil beforehand.
