      @@freeidaho-videos I am in 100% agreement! The amount of ridicule and abuse I have taken from colleagues and supervisors because of the philosophy, is endless…

    Very thorough and made easy to follow along. I was just looking at floor jacks yesterday at Harbor Freight.

    I’ve got a small 1.8 ton floor Jack that needs an extension so I can reach the axles of my Toy Hauler. I may reach out to you if I can’t come up with something. Thanks for the video!

    I knew Galvanized was bad but I did not know about zinc plated. I guess that’s one of the problems with being self taught. Thanks Ken! Learned something new. Were you saying muriatic acid? I couldn’t quite catch it.

      Thank you! Yes, muratic acid. I hate being on camera and it messes with my brain and tongue.

      Thank you! Sorry, I'm retired from making things for sale. But Canada has thousands of hobby and commercial welders, and the winters are long. Good luck.

    Good video, but why do you use wd 40 to drill, since it’s a solvent not oil?

    • @freeidaho-videos
      @freeidaho-videos  9 місяців тому

      To be technically correct, WD40 was invented to displace water and keep things from rusting. W=water, D=Displacement.
      That said, it is mostly used for lubrication, which is what I use it for. It is extremely good on aluminum, and pretty good on steel.
      I use it on the drill, lathe, and milling machine, as well as most anything that needs a light lubricant.

      @@freeidaho-videos used for water displacement to prevent rusting. When it disapates, rust will return.

      @@hummv8 Sure does, however, some of the multi-year tests have shown it to be very effective.
