Never been a category for hurricane in the Atlantic in June, that’s a big statement. I wonder how he knows that. Perhaps he should say since records were kept, and we were able to travel from continent to continent.
It's hot air not hot water...
It's actually the warm water evaporating into warm air if you want to be pedantic. They are also directed by the jet stream and Coriolis effect.

@@lucycarin Yes Lucy, obviously the sun is where the heat comes from that warms the water. This is why we have different seasons with temperature fluctuations that are related to the position of the earth in relation to the sun. Some concepts are simple enough that they shouldn't need to be explained to any adult that has the ability to read and write.
