They were real hard workers in those days.
I think about them a lot. And how long it took after they had all left us before their safety, and well-being, and humanity were considered something worth protecting.
8:00 that's the boot's shank, a metal (bone or wood) piece that reinforces the portion between the heel and the archway to give support and stiffness to that area of the sole.
Great explore, looking forward to seeing more of that mine! Those older levels, the effort of breaking rocks and hauling them out, and being bent over and hitting your head all the time!
Another fun explore, it's your positioning what you find in its proper time frame that I especially like! Knowledge put to work.
Living here in Mid Wales, I find it fascinating.

On each and every video you post, I can't help but wonder, with all the exploring and visiting collapsed corridors, are you not afraid one time it will collapse while you are in it? Is there risk like this? Or are you taking any precautions or are able to assess if risk is high or not?
There are always risks going in, but we do assess all of the mines before entering and if in any way we do feel it’s way too dangerous we don’t bother
they need to bring back proper mining.
