Your pictures of newly created formations in the levels, shows how far nature is ahead of the artistic world, both in its world of paint on canvas or in the design of alien worlds for film makers. Whilst I would love to see it first hand I could not cope with the underground journeys you so nonchalantly undertake. Thank you for bringing your hidden worlds into my sight.

ah I can't wait to see more! wouldn't mind finding a few myself later in the year.
maybe I'd bring a pickaxe and take a few kilos to smelt and use or just dig for fun and see how far I can get ;)

I thought the same - I was 13 when we switched to decimal currency.

Beautiful look around, nice work! Amazing how nature reclaiming the mine can make rock seem so organic!

What many watchers from outside Wales don't appreciate, is just how much rain we have been having, it has been the wettest here on record.

Great vid as always lady and gents. It never ceases to amaze me the size of these mines considering the tech available at the time

Great mine! That money amount looked like one and thrupence.1/3d It had a hash mark in between. 13 pence would be one shilling and one pence. 1/1d

"A tom stick" for measuring distance side to side in stope for timbers, would have had another stick attached that slid to get measurment

i find all your videos absolutely fascinating! may ask you guys something, would it be possible that you could set some candles up so we could see what the lighting would have been like for the miners working in there? or did they use lanterns? thanks guys keep up the great work...

What this at 19:26 minute and causes the colour? And what causes the colour at 21:17?

Ioan mentioned Cornish miners moving to Wales. I have ancestors who appear near Hope in Flint out of nowhere. They were in lime rather than metal mining, which did them proud and they grew wealthy. I ask because a Welsh colleague said the surname Peter, later Peters, is not Welsh and there is a concentration of it in Cornwall. I wonder whether the Cornish migration also brought quarrymen to Wales?

people dug that out with pickaxes? it is incredible what you can do and how far they got. I wonder how long it took to dig

That stick looks more like it was meant to have a rope hooked around it rather than a thumb.

These are fun to see but the caves and mines were you barely fit thru is way too much!! I don't like watching it. It's crazy how so many caves have just enough room for a body to crawl into them.
