Nah fr though man's making great points. Out of all the stands I've seen CD by far is the most unskilled (besides tusk and all the OH stands). Mfing stand doesn't even have a move that actually Ragdolls players. It only has one move which is the wall creation but that isn't the point. In my opinion it takes skill to actually time when someone gets up and connecting that with the ragdoll functions. Cds don't do that at all they literally have a true one shot combo depending on 2 out of the 4 specs in the game. You could do this true combo by using hamon or boxing.

Even the tusk act 4 became a new meta with unbalanced 1 shot combo thats almost unescapable if ur on opponents region or just have bad conmection. I rather stay away from yba for now rather than playing it and raging
Something I noticed while playing arena as CD was that is was kind of a bit of a counter to Tusk act 4's infinite. As well as struggling against the like of Anubis+pluck. Whilst these stands basically body other stands that haven't been buffed Maybe Uzu is planning on just giving everything an overall buff that would result in balancing things out while nerfing the things that were already busted to begin with. (Like SPTW)

Tips against CD (because really it's not that difficult) -If they're spamming m1s, wait for their counter. Most of the time they want you to m1 back to get rage. -You're in my range can be normal blocked. It has a wind up. (The great thing about this is the wind up sound on which you would usually block works great for a PB on the CD beatdown if they decide to do that. Really, unless they have vamp, you can safely block anything with such a sound cue that they have) -If you get hit by blood shot and then they use the shard move. Run or use your own counter. Don't try to time stop or time erase teleport. You're going to get hit 90% of time. Just run until it despawns. -Learn to PB Yo Angelo. If you guys learned to PB Old KC Impale, then Yo Angelo will be a cakewalk to master -If they get their counter off, distance them. You don't go barging in on a SPTW with it's awakening do you? You shouldn't for this either. -If you think their rage is over WAIT FOR THEM TO COUNTER AGAIN. Trust me, just be patient and wait for them to slip up. If you get into their counter cycle, they're going to read you like a book, play you like a fiddle, and eventually you realized you lost. -If they haven't used their counter yet, don't spam projectiles. They're gonna catch on and get a free counter. -You can block while in Yo Angelo (this of course is useless if they use a block breaking move but if you scope out what they usually use, you could potentially avoid it. Also, I'm not sure how this may be helpful, but Yo Angelo breaks once a damaging move is used on it. Could potentially help with something) -If you get in a combo (really for any stand) that you know is going to hurt. Tech out of it. You can tech out of it by doing a stand barrage and then dashing forward, backwards, or sideways. (Don't spam this because you might get caught in a barrage of their own. This goes for really any stand with a barrage) -CD is surprising fragile without rage even with boxing or vamp (Source: I've used CD in arena and fought others with different stands in arena) know that a good player is going to want to get their counter off. Focus your plan on avoiding that and they'll be much easier to deal with. They have some big end lag if they don't pull off their counter. Opening up a world of punishment. -And the biggest tip of all... Be somewhat competent (I'm going to be honest a lot of YBA players just aren't that good regardless of what stand they use. They'll waste their barrages and not use their entire arsenal of moves. If you know what you're doing, you'll go far) Treat CD is pre-patch KC. (you know, back when they got epitaph off they did their 100 percent combo) This is basically that but kind of worse IMO since even with the counter you can still avoid damage with a game plan. Here is some CD checks and counters Checks: -Tusk act 4: Yes tusk is NOT a counter. Because CD is surprisingly actually pretty good at dealing with Tusk even with it's inf combos. However, Tusk is still busted enough to give it a hard time. -The Hand: Even if you do play into their counters, there is a good chance you can nullify them with sheer force alone and kiting. -C-moon: Not as good as MiH, but lower gravity is good at kiting their rage mode. After all, you guys want to get your counter off too right? What do people do to avoid you from getting your counter off? Just do that. Counters: -SPTW: It's pretty consistent in the matches I've been in against them. (Platinum Slam buff really helped) Not to mention time stop = win -TWOH: By far the best counter to CD. Able to do half damage to a CD user with rage + boxing via one combo. -CD: It's weird but CD counters CD. It comes down to who is the better move baiter. -MiH: Any rage mode is useless when you can out run everything. Final thoughts: Is CD OP? Yeah I'll admit a little bit but it's not unwinnable. If I had to give it nerfs, I'd actually remove it's normal projectile all together. Replace it with a stand jump or something because 3 projectiles that block essentially block break is too much. Not to mention the normal shot is a combo extender. Keep the homing blood shard and it's ability to block break. Yes, I understand people may hate this idea, but first off all, it makes sense canon wise, and second of all, it's CD's main combo starter. And good fighting game devs don't remove combo starters. Instead, have the duration of the homing shorter. Because that thing can follow for what seems like forever. Add more end lag to a failed counter. It's already quite a bit, but having more would probably make users not use it so willy nilly knowing that they get even more punished for it than they already are now. Buff (yes actually buff) crazy wall. It actually works as intended for once, but it has so much start up lag that it's basically useless in trying to block projectiles. It's only good if you have one set up already, but by that point your opponent is just going to run at you anyway. It's really only good for some extra damage. (And if someone says it's a good block break... It's not. Too slow, half the time they're on the other side. I'd gladly remove the block break just for it to come out sooner.)

imo CD is high skill high reward. yes CD has a lot of moves that combo into each other but they all also have high cooldowns (every move except Blood Slash and Shard Shot have 20+ sec cooldown). its combos do good damage (and there are a few 100-0 specless ones) but ALL its moveset is cancellable and most of it is blockable (unblockable moves being Wall, Homing Shard and technically Blood Shot)

Uzu should stop giving reworked/new stands like 1938838381 moves and breaking them completely. Just add new moves for them OR rework some of their moves, anything but adding like 828374 beatdowns.

I think CD gets too much hate. While it does have an OP combo, it's basically all cancellable. Combo extender is cancellable and blockable and can be dashed out of, yyo anglelo is blockable, perfect blockable, and cancellable, all 3 projectiles are cancellable, beatdown is cancellable and perfect blockable, etc. It's definitely not the same as TA4, which is currently the only stand in the game to have a completely true one shot combo.
Honestly, I don't know why people complain about cd.

I think CD gets too much hate. While it does have an OP combo, it's basically all cancellable. Combo extender is cancellable and blockable and can be dashed out of, yyo anglelo is blockable, perfect blockable, and cancellable, all 3 projectiles are cancellable, beatdown is cancellable and perfect blockable, etc. It's definitely not the same as TA4, which is currently the only stand in the game to have a completely true one shot combo.
