  • I finally tried the Stick Blender Hot Process method of making soap, its pretty simple. This is another remake of my Lemonaide soap, I have one particular customer who buys this by the loaf.

    Put stretch-tite on the top of the pot? Maybe put the pot in hot water or on a heating pad? I'm impressed w/your bravery in going ahead w/HP and no crock pot.

    Did you have it on the stove in between or just here in the sink & on the countertop, what we saw in the video???

    • @sudsnsatin
      @sudsnsatin  2 роки тому

      Just what you saw in the video. I had it in the sink but it was too cold so I took it out and put it on rhe counter. I have made other soaps where the lye and oils were not hot enough and I did put the pot back on a low flame for a minute. But I didnt do that in this video.

    Hey Sis!!!! I'm behind the times too....but your way was soooo simple....I have wondered about the baking soda but it looks like it does incorporate well.....I'm giving your way a try!!!! I also did not want to invest in a high power stick blender!!!! Thanks for sharing....IRIS

      DivinelitesHandMadeSoap hola chica it's so good to hear from you. Yeah you don't really need a high power stick blender, as you can see I used my cheap little old stick blender and it worked. Just have to make sure everything is hot enough.

    Hey..what was the temp of oil and lye when mixed??why did you place the container in the sink?what was the sf?
    Thankyou

    • @sudsnsatin
      @sudsnsatin  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for watching. I did mention in the video that the lye and oils were 180 and 185. I also mentioned that I put the pot in the sink in the event of a volcano reaction, but that never happened. The superfat was only a lye discount. What I put in after the cook was fresh lemon juice, citrus essential oils and sodium lactate.

    What is the purpose of baking soda for. Please educate

    • @sudsnsatin
      @sudsnsatin  4 роки тому

      Baking soda is good for your skin. Its a natural cleanser, it gently exfoliates your skin which removes dead skin cells. Together with the fresh lemon juice and lemon essential oil in this soap, it helps brighten hyperpigmentation.

    Why do you add baking soda to your soaps? And do you do it in CP soap as well? 😊

    • @sudsnsatin
      @sudsnsatin  7 років тому +3

      Maple Flagg this is my only soap that I put baking soda in. It's just lightly exfoliating to wash with. Baking soda in general is great for many things so this is my all-purpose bar. I use this soap on dishes and to clean my counter top too. Due to all the citrus it's better for normal to oily skin.

    Hello, I subscribed to your UA-cam station question do you use the lemon juice as part of your lye water and the baking soda can take place of ground oatmeal or other dry ingredients? You made me feel more comfortable trying this method

    • @sudsnsatin
      @sudsnsatin  5 років тому

      Thank you for subscribing. Yes you have to discount the amount of liquid you use in your lye solution whenever you're going to add any milks or any other type of liquid. The baking soda is just added as any other dry additive would be (basically whatever amount you want)

      Terry Nicholson baking soda is cleansing and deodorizing. Although it's very fine, it's slightly exfoliating in this soap. Thanks for watching.

    • @sudsnsatin

      Buttermilk Bay Soap I've been making this soap for years. I knew that baking soda was a great cleanser and deodorizer, its very fine so it's just slightly exfoliating and it's cost effective. So I figured, why not put it in soap. I use this soap to wash dishes and clean my counter, it has lots of citrus essential oils. It's better for normal to oily skin.
