  • Italy is so much more than just Rome! On this episode of High Fives, we're counting down the 5 best Italian cities to visit outside of the capital.
From the romantic canals of Venice and incredible Renaissance art of Florence to the chaotic streets of Naples and cutting-edge fashion of Milan, these spots have just as much to offer as Roma when it comes to amazing food, wine, culture and history.
Get ready for a virtual tour of Verona, home to the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, plus jaw-dropping Roman ruins, medieval architecture, and gorgeous Adige River views. Then we're off to Naples for the best pizza in the world and mind-blowing archaeological treasures from Pompeii.
You'll also get a taste of the incredible Renaissance art found in Florence's top museums like the Uffizi Gallery and Galleria dell'Accademia, plus suggestions for where to indulge in Tuscan cuisine and wines. Venice takes the runner-up spot with its iconic canals, Byzantine architecture in Piazza San Marco, and opportunities for romantic gondola rides.
But which city claims the #1 spot? You'll have to watch to find out! Let me know your favorite Italian destination in the comments.

You could do a “top 5 cities in Italy not named Rome, Florence, Venice or Milan” and still have 5 cities that would be the top touristic cities in any European country (other than Spain) after that country’s capital city.
