Container rollover accident in Long Beach

- Back at it again with another container rollover, with the back end under a bridge! Video is short because we made short work of it, straight to the point as always. Immediately upon arrival, I parked parallel to it so I can start hooking up the front off the side. Once Dave arrived, he backed up to it so he can lift the rear offset then swing over towards the middle.
My wrecker assisted in spiking the tractor while catching it from the front, which allowed us to bring this entire unit over super smoothly like all our rollovers. Safe, quick and efficient clearance that everyone is used to equals another great job by the crew.

FANTASTIC TEAMWORK...
Man I'd give anything to be able to do this with my dad. He was a physics genius. Cherish your time.
Another great job by Josh & crew. You guys make it look so easy at times. Love the channel its taken over my #1 towing and recovery viewing channel!
Thanks for letting me tag along.
Pepe’s is awesome ppl and extremely talented at their job!! And own amazing equipment!! Keep em rolling!!
Another great team effort. To bring that container and tractor over in a smooth, safe and controlled is a Pepes business as usual!
Josh another one for the books, great job. You and Dave are awesome. Stay safe.
Y'all got it down to a science.
Great job.
I know I’m showing my age but was that Ponch and Jon sitting in the shade? 🚓🏍
Sure looks like them. Might be Long Beach’s finest too.
hahahahahaha Thats a good one Thanks for the laugh
@@davidsandberg7631 did you see the last on where the chassis was almost twisted 45 degrees. The front locks weren’t locked so when it went over the tractor stayed upright but the container and the rear axles went for a ride over a guard rail. There was a lot of energy in that chassis.
You are not the only one. I was hoping the camera would slide over to them and they would start talking and the CHiPs music would start playing. LOL
You are so incredible at what you do! You make it look easy and it's not. Good work guys!
15:56 sign on the truck:
"Now hiring"
Man, they want to replace that poor driver who had the accident really fast.
Josh cool recovery.
Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Good job guys you are very good at standing them up make it look easy

Seems like every video Josh says "check our this new..." I wanna fly out and be a passenger helper for a day.
Hahaha I tell myself the same thing! Every week it's like Christmas with new packages for all my new toys and rigging.

You guys are too good.
At least this one stayed hooked to the chassis.
Hey Josh you know the old saying that time is money. Then you must make plenty. You do your jobs quickly and safely stay safe from Australia
I guess those container drivers will never learn to slow down on the curves...LOL!
another perfect upright by Pepe’s Towing. I don’t know how y’all survive wearing black in the sun.
That site isn't very far from where I was born: The Dependents Hospital when the Long Beach Naval Station was still there. (My dad was a Navy Hospital Corpsman stationed there).
It would be nice of putting on top of the extended support legs those magnets l.e.d. light 's for visual reference at night for added safety
A quick job getting it back on it's wheels!
Did you see the "Now Hiring" on the hood of the rollover....LOL
INCRÍVEL parabéns.
Good evening from Devon in the UK
Good afternoon from sunny Los Angeles!
Roll Over Beethoven should be the backing track.
#1 good job guys
My daughter: "Is Josh married?"
Me: "I have no idea."
My daughter: "well, he's a hunk!"
Me: "No, he's HULK!"
Ugh, looks like I picked the wrong day to start my "Maersk" drinking game... the room is a-spinnin'!
First to view and like, that's a first ! Nice work as always Josh !
Thank you!
Who needs a Money Tree at the bottom of the Garden, When you got a Container Base Around the Corner
.AKA Cash Cow 🤭
Great Job lòoked Effortless
It says now hiring on the side of that truck....Yeah I bet they are too.Lol
Have you ever had two different rollover jobs but it was the same driver
Nice 1.
Load on one side in the container ?
HI PEPE'S CREW FROM VICTORIA AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
You lay them down Pepes there to right them. Fast and safe
Sweet 😊
They need to regulate these containers a bit more bahh how many do you flip back on a daily ?
What is there to regulate lol, how would you even do that. Probably do one or two per week
*EASY*!!!! At least all of the container locks were locked this time!!
The best tow man😁😁👍👍😊😎😎😎
U guys have a lot of containers roll overs keeps u busy and making money job security keep up good job be safe out there👍😎👷♂️🇺🇸🚛🖐
What was the cargo? Was it Liquid filled bottles on pallets?
No clue
That container's seen better days. Or years.
see you're back at the usual money pit once again down on the docks! Seem to get an awful lot of containers going over there.. is it the roads.. or driver error (against the clock) ?
It might just be the huge volume of container traffic in the area.
Why so many container truck accidents? I know there is a high concentration in that area, but is it due to generally poor drivers or bad loads or what?
Mix of both probably
Like #410
Thanks for the video!
Sure is a lot of those container trucks that roll over?????
👌👌
Sign on container that says, FRAGEL, DO NOT DROP.
👍
You have to be pretty special to roll a truck in that kind of location.
They must not teach them in trucking school. 🤦🏼♂️ Slow down on turns! Free education right here !!
Josh, when is your Birthday? Isn't it coming up??
👍👊
WTF is so difficult about keeping these container trucks upright? Or is it the same driver over and over (no pun intended)?
Too many containers, too few quality drivers.
Speeding, Yellow caution sign says: 10 mph (with Sharp 90` degree turn arrow ) Speed Limit sign @ 11:56 time mark
For a second I thought it was the Port of Oakland and I forgot that quick it's the port of LA I'm a doofus🙄 alright take care and be safe
👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💪
So they're hiring drivers at that trucking company.
For him to turn over like that he got to be a new driver or he was in a hurry
Like butte!
ponu3051706 active, back at Long Beach
Why do these guys roll over? I'm guessing too fast on the turn! But, come on!
Top heavy...loaded to the roof.
Why don't you just set up a yd @ the docks.
You're there almost every day. What's the matter, the " drivers"
are getting worse every
day. The dmv & chp
MUST crack down on unqualified operators.
I do have a shop there, right in Wilmington.
The LA/LB docks handle by far the most containers of any port in the US and almost in the world, so mishaps like this aren't unlikely.
Ok, now I am convinced that these truck drivers roll over deliberately so you can make videos.
Seriously, how many rollovers happen in your area? Shouldn't the truck drivers learn at some point to slow down while turning? With that amount of accidents every truck driver in your area must have seen a few rollovers and then they still don't drive carefully...
Well you have literally thousands of containers entering and leaving the ports every day. If even 0.0001% of them roll over, that's one per week.
Now hiring on the hood. Yep they lost a driver and a truck. lol.
These containers need training wheels
Okay, has anyone checked to see if this driver is the same driver that keeps flipping over trucks in the last few videos Pepe has put out? Make you wonder if there is a connection.....Just saying... Thanks for sharing!
These horrible container drivers are so dangerous. They always speed, tail gate and drive in lanes they shouldnt. YES...I drive and have a CDL.
As much as y’all work as a team y’all should get some kind of walkie talkies to communicate instead of stopping and having to walk around the containers to talk to each other
Bro watch the video. We are using them, it's not necessary for the pre rigging but once the upright happens we are all on headsets. You can clearly see them big as hell on Dave and Albert
Pause it at 14:36 and 15:53, I don't know how you can miss that. We never stop it just to walk around and talk to each other, not sure what video you're watching
@@PepesTowingService lol calm down there Toto!!!! Wasn’t saying you stopped on this one 😂 but just throwing out a suggestion... but clearly you can not take anyone giving a suggestion... but hey if you were as good as you think then you wouldn’t have to constantly tell your guys to speed up or stop and to wait let you catch up... y’all should be like a well oiled machine... hell me and my guys get to the job turn the radio on blast and are side by side slinging lumber building stuff... we don’t have to constantly remind each other how to do each other’s job... and don’t hand out that every job is different because every job in the framing world is different as well. Get it together... it’s embarrassing geez!!! 😂😂
@@nails2wood691 if you made that comment on this video, isn't it logical to assume that comment is directed to this? I don't see why you feel so attacked to reply with an essay, it's not the end of the world I was just telling you we use headsets. And have you not seen my other videos? The synchronization is what I'm known for. My talking was to Albert spiking the tractor, who is brand new to this. What's wrong with walking him through this on his first recovery? That's embarrassing?
@@PepesTowingService lol I’m just trolling on that last comment boss... you are the best on UA-cam when it comes to heavy recovering no doubt... and you’re a beast with your rigging... but I have to say that and give credit where credit is due... keep up the good work.
i'm glad Josh is not a fan of piercings and tattoos ?
Huh? What does piercings and tattoos have to do with anything and who said I'm not a fan. Don't tell me you're a super old close minded puritan lol
@@PepesTowingService i haven't seen any on you, as yet lol
@@joha7484 well, my Gopro is a chest mount so it's not like I really come out anyway. But this is the trucking industry, you'd be hard pressed to find someone with no tattoos or piercings. Nothing wrong with that.
@@PepesTowingService Tattoos, no problem. Piercings depending on where they are could be an issue. I've seen it happen on-site a few times. Usually stops 'em in their tracks. (super old open-minded puritan ;) ).
