you have a reasonable riding style but the long shanked bit is very strong oh my...shd only need a 3 inch shank not a 6 inch shank. are these retired standardbred pacers from the harness racing track?
@@reco1005rs have u tried a 4 inch shank with a snug curb strap. i know about race horses i rode a thoroughbred for years then an american saddlebred both needed a strong bit no snaffle for them.

Man, you've got some great looking horse that move well, with good size on them. I've seen some that were on the small side and it makes anyone over 5'5 look as they they're on a midget horse.
He's a trotter. He is trotting ..but he has been trained to transition to a faster trot with a longer gait. And considering he is only two and doing to this standard that is pretty amazing.
Wow That's a smooth ride but feeling like he pushed it to hard at the end he was REALLY GETTINH TIRED shaking his head and lowering it as if to say I need to rest turn off the camera
Those gaited bits almost never put much pressure on the mouth. They're designed to but a little pressure on the poll. Helps keep the horse in "gait". Every gaited horse I've met loves those bits. "Soft hands=soft bit"
That's funny af...telling somebody how to fix something that ain't broke. So you think you know more about bitting gaited horses than these guys do, right? This is one breed of horse ANYBODY can ride and look like they know what they're doing. You'd have to deliberately lean over too far to force a fall because these beauties keep a rider on their back by their lack of excess motion.
Not true. This is a great rider with a great position and a lot of experience this is a young horse greenish horse too. I have watched a lot of similar videos . Mostly experienced riders a lot of experienced riders develop bad habits tho ..its not the same as being a beginner. If you see something like that in the video its usually that. GREAT riders can have bad habits. Its difficult to explain but you just KNOW an experienced rider from a bad one. This guy is a brilliant rider on a young inexperienced horse getting the best out of him. RESPECT.
why you have to force that young horse to run like this? This horse is nearly 6 years in Human ages. would you force your 6 year old daughter to go to gym, just to "look good"? I hope you're not! This is terrible :(
Lea Richter you just being a Debbie downer looking for something to be negative about. he's not pulling the horse mouth out he actually has good control on a safe pavement. you sound so stupid. these horses are bred for this.
So these horses are breed to be ridden at the age of 2? This sounds stupid. Any horse is way too young to be ridden this age. And for sure he is pulling on its mouth, he has "hard" hands and won't move just a bit to let the horse go like he should.
LeaMasha, I'm SO relieved that someone said what needed to be said. This is STRAIGHT UP ABUSIVE AND WRONG. And I'm horrified at the comments of "great hands"? And you have "bad arse horses?" How is this increasingly happening and it's all over the fb Saddlebred and Standardbred pages as well. I've seen much worse but I'm so glad that at least ONE HUMAN HAD THE RIGHT THING TO SAY ABOUT THE SHEER TORTURE OF A TWO YEAR OLD. Thank you. And then I will continue to share my equal thoughts on things like this.
4 years later & still one of my favorite horses! 👍
Loooooooove that horse! Nice relaxed rider, great steady hands..
GREAT VIDEO
I like the way this horse goes....do you have more like him that are for sale?
Look at the shanks on that bit. No wonder the hands are still.
good riders have still hands....you rock man !
At 4:25 old dew thought his horse can roll, at 4:28 he kno he f#$k up!! Lol!! Nice horse, very good rider.
Where is this? Nice place to ride!
My god I love this horse
That are mare or gelding, oh colt, standardbred, beautiful guy.
Thanks for posting - excellent horse, made it look easy.
Ole bagdatti was gettin it
I can see that they pulling on the the horses mouth and sitting way to far back in the saddle and doing that can cause back problems for the horse
That's how you ride a horse that singlefoots/racks
you have a reasonable riding style but the long shanked bit is very strong oh my...shd only need a 3 inch shank not a 6 inch shank. are these retired standardbred pacers from the harness racing track?
8 in shank he was a 3 year old trotter
@@reco1005rs well thats even worse try a 3 inch shank with a snug curb strap

Standing stud?
Great looking horse but I would change the bit that’s gotta be hard on the horses mouth and it’s ears are pinned back the whole time
Shanks
Standardbred?

Nice horse........Thanks
He is impressive!!!
oh so good my bro I like your horse
Smooooooth!❤️
Why have a big saddles blankets ,,,, it makes the horse sweat TOO MUCH ,,RIDE BAREBACK W/SMALL PAD
I WANT CAMINATOR, BEATIFUL HORSE, INTELIGENT, INTENSO.
what type of bit do you use, personally??
Reg walking horse bit
Bugatti is bad ass! Love this video!
Too tough 💪🏾, what kind of bit are u using? I want my twh to start single footing.
If you want a horse that singlefoots get a Standardbred but some Tennessee walker can do it
Or get a Rocky Mountain horse (eastern Kentucky)--so versatile, great dispositions
Awesome bro🧸
Amazing horse...❤️❤️❤️❤️
Imagine what he will be like at four!
If they haven’t ruined him.
He's Tough....!!!
that horse is a pacer that is why it run like like that would be great for a harness racing
It’s not..pause the video and you’ll see one hoof on the ground. Yes it looks like pacing but it’s not

Melania MoneyPenny it’s called a single foot cause one foot is on the ground if u pause the video far from a trot

Diane Brock ya... hate that bit too!!
He wa shaking his head because he want me to give him the reigns so he could go faster

Aggressive Gaits
The bits that y'all are using look too severe- I am sure your horses would travel more comfortably with shorter or no thanks on their bits

Its jus a regular low port walking horse bit
Is there a chin strap?
