Adding clips of you throwing the disc while going through the bag is a nice touch. I recently had to replace my entire bag. Throwing a bunch of new plastic. I am enjoying learning them all. DGA has to be one of the most underrated brand with the rogue, pipeline, aftershock, quake, rift, breaker, and the hurricane all being outstanding molds. They just have different feels from the molds that discraft have for themselves.

westside stag is my vote, an 8 speed so another one of those in between speed discs but its a flip up machine and has a small fade at the end. If you want something with more stability similar to a thundy the westside bear.

My favorite trilogy disc is the westside anvil. Overstable 4 speed . You should try it out. The glimmer plastic is the most stable one and they’re super flat. It replaced my zone and overstable mid slot. It’s a great disc.

Really excited to see the upcoming video on OS approach discs. I've been using the Prodigy Distortion for the last year and half and have loved it so far! Since almost every manufacturer has one at this point, my biggest requirement is whether or not it fits your hands and grip style. I enjoy the videos and keep up the good work!
I picked a Vortex from DGA the other day. It has instantly earned a spot in my bag. I love trying discs out but things are generally fairly stable with my bag. It and the Craves (I bag 2 of them) are my 3 control fairways.

really refreshing to see DGA in the vids! biased i am of course but if you havnt tried the DGA Breaker it is also a Zone ss in a way. My favorite zone plastic is Z Flx.
westside has some cool molds you can try- i love the swan 2 for a wicked flippy putter shot. also love the anvil for an a2-type approach.
if you bag one trilogy branded disc, it should be the Emac Truth, in Lucid plastic. get that thing beat in and it has some sick turn with a nice slight overstable finish, very straight flyer thrown flat.

I'm doing the same thing: Expanding to more discs from different brands, because I'm only throwing Innova-made plastic at this point, but there are so many other great options out there.

Mint mustang is one of the best discs to come out in years plus you can cycle it to cover your entire midrange lineup. (Except super os)

Yeah I was an old only Innova player when discraft and Innova were really the only players in the game with easy to obtain discs. And being in Charlotte Innova was just what I was introduced to with the CDGC guys and stuck with. Stopped playing for a long time and son started playing last year and broke out the old collection of PFN….so been branching out with all the new molds and loving em….nice to have all these new options available now…bag the ultra and marvels. Like the pace as well. Really dig the glow magician. And some of the plastics are super nice now vs my old kc pro rocs for example shattering or old CE cracking so I get ya on those discs. I still love my old champion max weight cobras/sharks

I've been using the Tempo a lot as of late for my OS approach disc for the exact reason you said. It's a workable zone that'll still go straight with reliable fade. It's great on woodsy courses which is pmuch all upstate NY is.

Solid disc but only comes in base plastic and beats in sooooooo fast🤝
@@broderic which is why I have two. They start out REALLY OS and beat in to be dead straight. Takes about 2 months still of beating it to get to that point
My workhorse mid for the last couple years has been an SP Rift. SP Pipeline is another staple for that flip up tunnel shot.

Had a Barry Schultz champion Leopard that was money. Super straight flier. Played in 35° weather last week, smoked it into a tree and it split in 2. Wrecked my whole day.

Tempo is absolutely money. Best hand feel for me personally on forehand especially. Really hoping their actual drop includes numerous plastics with one that is more overstable than the circuit challenge ones. For trilogy, if you can get your hands on the new Brave, it'll give that Cicada a run for it's money.

Check out the Loft discs Silicon! Found my overstable midrange that comes out clean on forehands for me over a buzzz os. Kicked the DGA quake out of the bag for now!

Dude, you gotta try the variations of the Millennium Vela.. I also LOVE the DGA Breaker for stable to over-stable approaches, it's beaded and feels just like my big bead yeti aviars and flies like a beaded Tempo
I thought the vela would be perfect but honestly just doesn’t feel good to me🤷🏽♂️
@@broderic fair enough, I've got a couple of Lunar plastic ones that are super flat and feels a lot like a teebird3 in the hand. The cicada just felt weird in my hand and I didn't feel like I could control the release point, so I feel you
If you're not sure about the zone. Not sure what plastic feel you prefer but an A3 in 300 feels great for the approach os feel in the hands compared to the zone for me.

I don’t know how comparable it is to the rift, but the echo is phenomenal replacement for the buzzzSS imho. Especially if you’re looking for just a touch more stability.
In my experience the echo is less stable than buzzz ss atleast a new buzzz ss🤷🏽♂️

Have you tried out the westside Warship (recommend VIP or Tournament plastic)? I also recommend a Discraft ESP Athena. Hands down one of the best discs I have thrown.
Warship flies good but feels horrible in the hand tbh🤷🏽♂️

I hope you look at the Jarn and Razor Claw 3 for the overstable approach discs. I try to replace discs with new molds when I lose one just for kicks. I have found some real gems along the way. Happy New Year!

I recently picked up an i blend scepter (run 8) and it's super close to my PFN star firebird in flight and identical in feel/profile. It's a bit more stable since it isn't as beat in yet, but the I blend should beat in nicely
I really wanna try one of the new marwede avalanche. Supposed to be much less stable than the first run and I’m loving the hand feel🤝

It is kind of a fun game to find those rare, ultra specific discs but man, it feels good to find someone comparable that’s pretty readily available that if you chuck in the drink or leave on the course (RIP that Wraith, my dude) it doesn’t hurt as bad. Have fun finding some new plastic frisbees

Yo Brod if you like the Marvel as a putter but don’t like having to wait to break them in for it to get that concave/puddle top try the Lat64 Hope. Almost identical specs, but the Hope already has the nice concave top without having to break them in. I just got a marvel and mine came with a smoothish flat top, gonna try breaking it with putting practice but the Hopes just come like that.

I kinda wanna do what bodanza used to and only have 2 molds in my bag per company. There are just so many discs on the market there’s no reason for me to have the same 6 or 7 innova molds in my bag forever

Try a new big z vulture. On hyzer gives a late little turn consistent glidey finish. Also 4handable. Champ thunderbird is to Skippy and stable. Star is to domey and deep. Domey Champion sidewinder is money.

Trilogy’s got some good discs. You’d prob dig an evader and the grace, compass is my go to straight midrange. If you need that instagram clout boost the og out of production slammer is money too

Did you mess around with forged interval? I scooped one up but it’s pretty stable for me. Didn’t know if you had any recommendations for good interval run by chance? I’ve been liking the DD3 in s line plastics a lot of different weights and like you said readily available.
@@julianseyal A2 is waaaay more overstable and doesn’t fly as far as an ultra. There’s only one run of interval right now. Pretty sure they all fly similar
@@broderic man its probably just me then. Maybe I have to beat it in more and do more work with ultra haven’t had it long. My blue color glow ultra seems more stable than the A2. Wonder if it’s just the ultra I got or if I’m just garbage. I have only had the ultra for a few weeks and only played three rounds with it so I can’t really say just so far. I love it though I mean talk about a disc you can trust…
