All in al I'd say this is a win for everyone - the Japanese get a tourist attraction, the tourists a really great close encounter with at least semi-wild animals and the monkeys food and a hot bath. Lovely creatures. would love to go there and meet them in person.

OMG! They are absolutely adorable! Love how they were being super models for the photo sessions and killing it with their voguing! Lol. Love how everybody was helping bathe everyone else - picking out dirt and bugs from the fur, checking each other's teeth out, kind of giving little massages! Lol. The babies were absolutely adorable, more than adorable - I can't even think of a word that describes how cute and funny they are! They were having so much fun bouncing around, climbing up tripods, playing with whatever they could, swinging from the ropes, having their pictures taken and chilling out in the warm water while dozing off or being held by mum! Went to visit these guys last year, from Nagano - a bit of a hike, train, bus, then about 30 minutes walking through the woods. Well worth it though, a great experience!
