  • This presentation features new research from the Community College Research Center (CCRC) providing a state-by-state breakdown on postsecondary enrollment and success outcomes for students who participated in dual enrollment with a focus on MHEC states. Tatiana Velasco and John Fink from CCRC walk through the key takeaways and implications of the report and share a data dashboard to better understand and interpret findings for MHEC member states.

    Tatiana Velasco, PhD, is a senior research associate at CCRC and an applied microeconomist specializing in the economics of educationTatiana Velasco and labor economics. Velasco examines how students’ transitions into and through postsecondary education affect student outcomes and materialize in advancement in the labor market.
    John Fink is a senior research associate and leads CCRC’s research examining how community colleges and their K-12 and university partners are transforming ineffective and inequitable student transitions from John Finkhigh school to college and career by strengthening dual enrollment programs and improving community college transfer pathways.
