Tim, I've gotta say I've been struggling to build out my portfolio for some time now. I just couldn't wrap my head around it but I really started working on it more within the last two weeks and this workshop help me get to the finish line. Thank you so much!
Hi Tim, I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. You really are a fantastic teacher! After completing the August '23 8 week co-hort with you, I enrolled into a Grad Cert course. An assignment of the course is to create a portfolio. I've never created one before and I only had a few days to produce one. I'm going on a holiday, and apparently, that's not a good enough reason for an extension :-(. So, I came straight to you because I knew you would have a tutorial that would show me how to make a great portfolio and you did.Thank you again. I'll share it with you soon. Take care, Nerina
I'm so happy the video was helpful! Thanks for watching! If you get the chance, please feel free to share this video with others! Also, once you get your website up and running, share it with our community here: community.elearningacademy.io/c/get-feedback/
I saved this link for more than a year until I could devote some time to work on my portfolio. THANK YOU, TIM! So helpful and I created a site over my holiday vacation. Checking it off my list!
Tim, This was great! I took several days viewing this as I rebuilt my portfolio website. You de-mystiyed a lot of parts and built my confidence. Thanks for providing such great guidance!
Tim, I just have to say THANK YOU for doing this. I didn't have a clue about doing a portfolio and I was very frustrated. With your help I'm very confident about what I'm going to put together.
@@elearningacdmy I just finished my portfolio creation using your videos of uploading to google cloud and then using google sites. I've had a problem crop up with the page appearing when I check out my work button with 'resume course' button. Do you know how to fix this ? I thought I followed everything to a T but maybe something is awry...
@@hero.alexander Yep! This is a setting in Storyline. You can adjust this by changing the player settings. See this article and let me know if you have any follow-up questions: community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-change-the-resume-behavior
Hi Tim, this video is REALLY helpful. Thank you ! I can't find the link to the video about hosting an eLearning experience in a cheap way though. But maybe your video hasn't been published yet ? Looking forward to watching another interesting content of yours !
I'm watching your videos one by one, and as a beginner I would say you are such an amazing guide 💗 Also, I have two questions : 1) Is that really mandatory to add an About me page if we have alrdy mentioned a picture of us in the Home page itself? 2) I want to work in corporate sectors, but I have a science edtech background. If I want to create a portfolio, what type of content should I include in it? And If I want to get into corporate sector, should I be proficient in those topics?
Thanks for watching and sharing the kind words! It's certainly not mandatory to have an About Me page...as long as your home page isn't too cluttered. I like to keep the home page very high-level...but that's just me. :) As for your second question, here's a post I recently shared on LinkedIn about this: www.linkedin.com/posts/sladetim_elearning-instructionaldesign-learninganddevelopment-activity-7077286672702296066-D6J5? I hope that helps! Let me know what other questions you have!
I’m glad you’re enjoying it all! As for freelancing, you can really charge whatever you’d like. I’ve seen freelancing rates as low as $25 per hour, and as high as $495 per hour. Whether you go with an hourly rate or a flat project rate, it depends on the project, the client, and scope. What you can charge depends on what you need, what you capacity looks like, whether or not your skills can demand those rates, and how much the client values the work. In general, starting between $75 - $150 per hour is a good range…and then go from there.
This is so helpful. As Much as I try, I can't seem to get my Logo to be any larger. I went simple as you showed but it is still smaller than what yours shows. Any suggestions?
