- How safe is Maruti Suzuki's Brezza. Here are three things to keep in mind. First, the platform. The Brezza is built on Suzuki's TECT platform, and the second generation one is built on a beefed up version that was used for the first gen Brezza as well. The first gen Brezza had scored four stars on Global NCAP, the second generation has not been crash tested yet.
Second, the feature list. There's plenty as standard including ESP, Hill Hold and of course, ABS, EBD and dual airbags. The higher variant also packs in 6 airbags and throws in a bit more with a 360° camera, and a heads up display too.
Third, on the road it feels confident. The view out of the cabin is great. You can look ahead easily. The controls are light so it doesn't feel heavy or tiring to drive in the city or out on the highway. Also, at higher speeds, it will feel planted so it will give you an added sense of confidence as well.

Ventilated seats are more useful than heads-up display hope they will provide that in future facelift.

'TECT' is the other name for Global-C platform that scored 4* at GNCAP (for Brezza).
Scross/G.Vitara and Hyrider are based on the same TECT platform.
Scross, on the same platform, had secured 5* at Euro NCap. It was never tested at GNCAP.
'Tect' is NOT the same as 'HearTect' platform that is used in Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, Ertiga, etc. and has a poor safety rating.
Ciaz had scored 4 stars foe the previous gen

The problem with the brezza is that 6 airbags are available only in the high end version. Companies like tata, Hyundai offer 6 airbags as standard right from the base model. Maruti needs to wake up
Meanwhile Maruti with almost 47% of the total car market share in India, I think the buyers of maruti hardly cares about safety and build quality 😢
I bought this dual colour ( Khaki + White) and looks fantastic.
After six months still head turner and people still ask about it.
Its fun to drive.

If brezza is a head turner,then almost all heads on the road will be turned coz there is 1 brezza every 4cars on the road and its really annoying

we have nexon 2019 at home. needed another car. so now booked brezza vxi. reasons - vfm,looks bigger, safety, engine refinement, service n I had no other option around 11.5l bangalore. reason not to choose nexon again - looks small in front of brezza coz of coupe design, engine refinement is bad. only offers better safety n better plastic quality than brezza. sonet, venue- low mileage, poor rear seat, looks small, lacks gncap rating.
Please do it for i20, both to buy and not to buy.
This needs a facelift, maybe Toyota can do that too🙃

@@hkbthen00bour generation has lost it. Expecting updates every siz months. This makes it difficult to get spare parts later on and the companies tend to make sub par sub standard quality parts because of thei update thing.
@@addy5394dude We need a new Look. This Current Look is 👎. Old brezza was better than this in looks. Just look at the New Fronx which looks Awesome 👌. They should adopt a Design pattern and Stick to it Just like Other Brands.

@@hahhahahha4595 Brezza gets more features like Heads up display, ambient lighting, better interior quality, a 360 degree camera which never has software glitch. And safety of Brezza has 4-stars with stable platform. Brezza is 1.5 lakhs cheaper than Nexon. Extra 1.5 lakhs are not worth for Nexon which is based on Indica platform. Brezza is combination of safety + reliability. Nexon is unreliable. Reliability matters.
Brezza any day, Nexon is getting better but still needs improvement on its engine, reliability and service.
well my K10 bonnet feels like paper while this feels like 15L oil barrel.

It doesn't look as WOW as the first one used to feel when you look at it, this might be duty the fact that every co. is giving their cars great designs and Brezza exterior feels dated
Milege of brezz petrol...??
Initially it was 11kmpl in highway.
After 3rd service now it's 14.5kmpl in highway. I hope it will go upto 18kmpl.
Mine is smart hybrid, Manual.
What about normal 1.5 petrol lxi variant I plan to buy which should I buy baleno or brezza
@@NeerajKumar-er2ytyou can easily get 14 -15 in city and 17-18 on highway I have bought it on 10th. Nov 2023 and I am learning driving on it in city and able to easily get 14 + milage in mid. Considering that I am expecting 17-18 in highway

Haa ek point brezza ke favour me hai ki uski resale value jyada milti hai. Approx 7% to 9% jyada compare to Nexon.
But ye sab secondry hai. 115 ki speed me meri Nexon divider jump karke samne road par 100 mitar tak ghasit te aur roll hote huye gayi thi gayi thi. Jaan hai to jahaan hai resale value bhi tabhi hai. 😊 Baki aapka mann. Jai siyaram

My two cents on it. All maruti cars are poor in terms of safety. Drove a baleno for 2 and test drove a vitara both felt wonky and wobbly especially while the car gets stopped in between and restart. They do cost cutting here and theres no ways about it.

The way they placed the infotainment sucks
But build quality is worst, even if two wheeler hits it the wheel will come out from the car, and have watched a couple of live accidents. Not yet all recommended

Did you smoke cheap weed? A two wheeler crashed my new Brezza and thr was no damage. Have you ever sat in Brezza? Don’t comment stupid if you haven’t experienced one. Brezza has thick sheet metal and build quality is very good. Grow up kid.
