Loved watching this,alot better than the main movie.Love pete's knowledge of the area.Reminds me of a very old film "Valley of gwangie" hidden valley full dinosaur's. Always spray my hiking trainers with water proof,helps me not getting wet feet,love all the strange marking's.the amount boulders reminds me of golden bridges in bulgaria. love the red poppy,and this is one stunning hike.love the bridge,looks well dodgy.love the lettuce looking green plant.Got puppy all over me at the moment,and no dogs sign,wonder why? Love the mini waterfall,must cooled you off,love the selfie of you 2.love the wierd rock,alien.loved this as always mega hug debs xx 💎💎xx

Ooh we will have to check that dinosaur movie out, it did feel like we could round the next bend and discover dinosaurs roaming around 🤩🦕. Yes we have watched a few YT videos of Bulgaria now and the landscape is quite similar, it is on our travel list for sure!😊👌. We wondered about the no dogs sign too, as there were still quite a few people who had dogs with them. I asked our taxi driver and he said it is because of all the rock fall in that area, that if dogs are off the lead they could disturb the rocks and cause issues. But the dogs that we did see were staying close to their owners 🐕🦺. Ah we hope your puppy is doing well 😍❤️🐕🦺. A real rocky old start and looks like a nasty rock fall on the trail too. I felt certain you 'were' going to have to cross that bridge but maybe just as well you did not, looked very sketchy indeed. The waterfall shower looked very refreshing but dam cold too but well done for getting in and like you say, you do not want to get caught out there in a heavy rainstorm. Cheers Alan
Hi Alan, Hope you are well. We definitely thought we were going over that bridge too, very Indiana Jones 😂😂🙈. We were very relieved the path didn't go that way, as it was little more than a person wide and looked very sketchy indeed! This area does get an awful lot of rock fall. Looking at it on the trail was quite sobering and we were very glad the path had been closed the previous year when we had made the journey here in heavy rain🙏. We can vouch for the waterfall being very cold 🥶😂. But a refreshing experience all the same 😊👍. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, and for your great comments as ever. Just brilliant again! Wonderful hike - loved the enclosed feel of it and the constant babble of the water - the rock formations are amazing and the rockfalls incredible. I can understand why they close the path in rain. No idea on the geology - but the markings and those weird bubbles are so strange. I really should have taken an interest in this stuff at school!! You are spot on with the 'enclosed feel', we felt very humbled by nature wondering along the Barranco steeped on either side by these huge mountains and rock formations, it was very special 😍. Haha we thought the same on the strange bubbles in the rocks, it looked life a calcium build up to me, but i have absolutely no idea if that is even possible 😂🪨 🫧🙈. Oo guys Buenos dias/ bore da 😃 we would love to hike into a collapsed volcano like this, this was so beautiful. The Valley of mortal death didn't sound as good in English though hehe 🤭 but such a gorgeous place. Loved the sound of the river as you hiked and the views here were wonderful. The waterfall shower did look cold, you were both brave ! That was c anther fabulous adventure both and like you said, it did look other worldly, so beautiful 👍~ Anna ❤

Great video. The strange rocks ( about 4 mins in) are actually pillow lavas from the original seamount just before the island emerged from the ocean. I love this baranco ❤

You are very welcome. We wanted to go walking up this barranco back in January this year but sadly the road to it was closed off due to landslides. Definitely be going back to La Palma soon...
@bgmckeown we had the same issue with the road in being closed the first time we tried to hike in this Barranco, but it really is worth persevering and saving it for a good day. We hope you guys get to explore it for yourselves soon🤞😊 All the best Shell and Pete👍
Hey both, settling down on a Sunday night to watch Pete and Shell; excellent stuff!! The valley of mortal death? Crikey??!!! Beautiful views as always. That river looks really nice, it looks very Indiana Jones! Watch out for those rocks. The markers are a good idea. Glad you got some sun eventually, that bridge looks pretty scary, don’t think we’d be up for that. The edge of that rock looked weird, looked light melted cheese. Ah, shoes off and through the river, that’s what we’d do. Yellow water? Are you sure it’s sulphur? 😂. Loving the waterfall, but thought it was really high until Shell appeared in the shot, you are almost as tall as it Pete! It’s very cool but not sure we’d walk all that way for it haha. Looked very cold though. That rock looks really weird, but can’t help with what it is. I won’t say what Rach just said it looked like 😂🍆. You both look so happy there and it looks amazing. Hey guys, Ah, and in our house we were settling down to watch your Blackpool vlog last night 😊👌. Hahaha, made us chuckle that the waterfall looked massive until 'giant Shell' walked into shot 😂😂. Apparently there used to be loads more colours to the waterfall, and more water, but over time they have faded, we didn't mind as we loved the whole walk, what a fascinating place ❤. That bridge was straight out of Indiana Jones for sure! We were very relieved we didn't have to cross it🙏😱😂. Rocks that look like cottage cheese and 🍆, now you don't see those every day!😂😂🙈.
