I think choosing the old RC or New one is about our personal perspective and view. If you can compromise the heating, comfort and you need the aggressive one you can go for the old BS3 or BS4. When considering comfort and other upgrades you can go for the new one of you can accept the new look.
I own the motogp edition of the bike, riding feel is great and in my opinion it can be considered as a good sports tourer.
