I was wondering if the" ice and snow" ever affected the operation of your driver safety assist system?
Yep, for sure. Happens on all my cars too, so it doesn’t alarm me when it happens. Usually involves the visual systems. Windshield washer fluid does clean the front camera. Didn’t know if you realized that yet but there is a little sprayer that pops out under ford emblem to clean camera when you activate windshield spray. Does take time to resolve the fault, so even if you clean it right away it might not reset for 10 mins or so.
looks like you are putting more miles on 19PT than your regular car :) We didn't go with rear bath because opened back always shows the toilet. 😱
Oh yeah, by far. I would be surprised if I even put 2k miles on the car.
Hello.... I bought the same ford Thor Sanctuary as you 4monyhs ago..
I have question..
1) I heard a noise when the right tire turned, so I checked it. The right tire touched the alternetor wire line, so I found that the electric wire was peeled off and
One line was cut, so I temporarily wrapped it with tape and tied it inside so that it would`t touch the tire. And I contacted ford and RV Dealers and they said
Couldn`t fix each other.. Have you ever had such a problem..?
2) The second question is My ford Thor Sanctuary tires seem small so I want to change them to slightly larger tires. Are there any problems with the body or while driving..?😊
I haven’t had a problem with the alternator wire rubbing. I can totally see the RV dealer vs Ford dealer thing though. My local Ford dealer won’t touch the van for any service. Even the recall on the climate control they wouldn’t do. My local RV dealer won’t do anything that deals with the Ford. Some RV dealers out there I think will do some maintenance on the Ford. Maybe General RV offered that but they aren’t close to me. Tire size can be increased very slightly with no van mods required. You maybe gain an inch of height. You can go slightly larger than that even but need to do some cutting on a pinch weld for fronts to fit. In the Ford Transit USA forum there are some excellent resources there and someone made a chart of every tire size and mod required and users report there experiences. Pretty good resource. I initially wanted to increase tire size but I decided for now it’s not worth it since it’s such a little gain without adding a lift kit.
Thanks for answering my questions..!! I think I should carefully consider changing slightly larger tires...!! Also, I would like to install an emergency tire carrier like you.. Where did you purchase it.?
@DavidParkBigman I went directly through Aluminess. Aluminess.com
Thank you so mach...@@jtbrv23
You’re welcome. Thanks for the info about the tire rub too. Added it too a video because even though I didn’t notice the rub, the wires were exposed when I checked. It’s affected a lot of people.
Hard to believe a THOR made it 15k miles in one piece?
Being a year into it has kinda changed my mind towards Thor. I think the Palladium is a future possibility if they ever start rolling out in the Transit Trail platform.
