It's not a controlled experiment if you completely change the tuning range of the drums. Tune them all the same and then you can see what the real differences are between heads.
+pjones8404 I agree, this was a terrible "experiment." The control heads were tuned beautifully, nice and low. I wanted to hear the vintage heads at the same tuning. I know they can sound AMAZING tuned low.

Why is there a snare pointed at the kick drum?
It looks like a snare, but it’s actuality a subkick mic used to capture the lower frequencies of the kick drum.
