- Edward Stow, a highly regarded authority on the Jack the Ripper murders, has conducted extensive research into the case and identified Charles Lechmere, also known as Charles Cross, as the prime suspect. Lechmere’s involvement has sparked significant debate, as his behavior and proximity to the crime scenes align with key elements of the investigation. Stow’s theory is one of many in the ongoing discussion surrounding Jack the Ripper’s identity, but his meticulous analysis of historical records, forensic details, and circumstantial evidence provides a compelling argument that stands out among competing hypotheses.
This episode explores the enduring fascination with unsolved mysteries like the Ripper case and investigates how societal and cultural factors have contributed to their lasting allure. Additionally, we draw intriguing parallels between the Jack the Ripper murders and the JFK assassination, uncovering shared themes such as public intrigue, controversial theories, and the challenges of resolving cases shrouded in secrecy and speculation. By examining these historical enigmas, we shed light on the human obsession with uncovering the truth and the complexities involved in piecing together fragmented narratives from the past.

So glad you interviewed Edward Stow. I really like House of Lechmere and this interview with him pulled many of his videos together for me. Thanks, Robb for the work you put into your podcast!
I came across Edward's "House of Lechmere" a few months ago, and now I am addicted. Thank you for interviewing him!
Charles Allen Lechmere is the best suspect by far! Thanks for having Ed on your show.
It is a whole lot better than most theories.
I'm a JFK researcher and I suggested the guest. Oh, and my dad was a truck driver. 😅
The conversation would have ended after a hour I bet but Stow kept dismissing the JFK conspiracy and you can tell that’s a soft spot for Robb. Good work both of you great discussion on both subjects
Christer Holmgren's book "Cutting Point" about Lechmere is a great read .
Hi, far too many inaccuracies in it for me. Far too much speculation to try and prove a point which for me he fails miserably.
Yes it's a very good book
@jacktheripper1888jtr We like Lechmere and you like Hutchinson. So what? Sour grapes.
@@thehouseoflechmere9407 as a piece of fiction maybe. Far too many 'lies' and mistakes in it. Poorly researched and put together.
@@susanclapp1721 Susan when did I ever say I fancied Hutch as a suspect? I didn't so you are making stuff up again. Stick to the facts for a change eh...
Lechmere is a very good suspect.
very good discussion. both the Ripper an JFK mysteries are detailed puzzles. the best of the students in each are these are the people who happen to work in puzzles. this would exclude the people who like to whip up their own facts as made-up facts can't be real puzzle pieces. Both you guys are rock star puzzlers. Peace
Thank you for this engaging and thought-provoking video! We're big fans of Mr. Stow and appreciate his dedication to exploring the Jack the Ripper case. That said, we feel it’s important to point out that many of the allegations presented against Charles Lechmere are purely speculative, resting on a foundation of flawed assumptions. Without concrete evidence, these theories risk unfairly defaming a hardworking family man and husband.
On our channel, we actively counter accusations of Lechmere's guilt, using the insights of OpenAI's ChatGPT to critically analyze these claims. While we respect differing perspectives, we feel that the 'House of Lechmere' ideas stretch the bounds of reasonable speculation.
Thank you again for the discussion-this is the kind of dialogue that keeps historical mysteries alive!

"the fact that a European casually dismisses political 'un-lifing' through political conspiracy - shows you just how numb and dull the Europeans are. Conspiracies happen."
- Franz Ferdinand and Julius Caesar
Buttler knows about psychos alright, he was part of East London BNP......
So was his partner Susan Clapp who claims to be a descendent of Lechmere and has lied to Newspapers saying her name is Sue Lechmere. Funny two people using 'false' names to blame multiple murder on a man for erm... using a 'false' name. The irony is delicious.
Yay
I cannot understand what he’s saying
