Lumion is good for outside render but... the interior renders are not good because of ugly shadow lines in the corners and ugly artificial lights. It's a shame since others are improving a lot with ray tracing and path tracing. But thank you for all your videos. You are one of the best and with your help you helped me a lot to improve my skill and changed totally my way to make 3D.
Thank you for the video. I was hoping to see some improvements on the reflection effect. There are only 10 reflection planes, which is not enough if we have some curvy 3d model. I think it is a shame to see there are no improvements for years in this area

Yeah that's a fair comment, though to be fair they already have way more example scenes than any of the other renderers I work with (though D5 does have several for sure)

I have a question previously they only allowed 23 tabs for saved materials of my own i found out that was the case when i was adding all my 8k materials to lumion do you know if that is still the case or did they fix that ? Love your work by the way my #1 destination for lumion tutorials
I suppose that's up to you. Do the features you see in this video seem like they'd give you enough benefit to upgrade? I have no idea what will be in Lumion 13

Nope... you can't... That's expected of Lumion though. My Opinion is that this is the lamest update so far... Almost nothing new... Just disappointing.
@@regalia_usa Well, we just use it to walk the client through their project. and it's live ray tracing... We could achieve good renderings with TW22 Path tracing too, but so far no instant ray tracing like D5. Which from what I understand uses UE4 as the base.
I just hope they'll do something about Interior render in Lumion since a realistic output for Interior is still hard to achieve.
They really should incorporate ray tracing / path tracing feature. Epic Games has just done that in the last Twinmotion, which was released last week.

But still, it applies to a Single layer! Why? I usually have more than 1 layer of trees( background, foreground, hires)

So far I don't think anyone really supports animated FBX, but I'll bet Twinmotion gets there first just by virtue of being built on Unreal Engine

We had to buy all... Twinmotion for VR walkthroughs... Lumion for large exterior scenes with vegetation, and D5 for interior renderings.
