Ended up in Sydney on this day and turned up for the concert (spur of the moment) with the three kids. I remember being stage front with the four year old on my shoulders. The best family time.........................
Wow, every time I watch this clip I get goosebumps. Best group performance ever in Idol history. Outside of 2003 (Guy, Shannon, Cosima, Paulini), this 2006 season of Idol stands above the rest - Leith, Mauboy, Bobby Flynn, Chris Muprhy, Klancie, Dean). 2004 was solid with Callea, Ricki-Lee and Hayley but was otherwise weak. 2005 and 2007 were terrible for Aussie Idol, with '07 arguably the worst (Corby, Marty Simpson and Carl Riseley in the Top 4!). Fingers crossed for the 2008 season!
the slightly darker one at the end sounds like the original coldplay singer. And the one at the very beginning sounds like like bono. Excellent work aussies. See you int summer!
i went to the rhersals of this! i didnt know what was goin on! lol. and i got all vip and the camera man let me and only me get a picture tuk with the hot 1! i was ded excited even tho i didnt know who they were. i think he thought id come all the way from england to see it. neva ind. loved it anyway. crap i didnt get 2 see the final final final, i was flying to cairnes. sukkkkkkks xxxxx

If you are going to sing coldplay you need to be ace and they aint --- they have murdered one of the greatest songs of the past 10 years I fuckin love coldplay

I can't figure out why people are giving you thimbs down. No one aced that Falsetto cept maybe the 2nd girl which mangaged to sound ok despite not hitting the Falsetto at all :/ rofl
No, he didn't got to emotional, he just had a problem with his ear piece, u know, he couldn't hear himself singing...and cupid1984 I don't either see any australian famous singer out there (except Bee Gees)
This song should not be belted. It just doesn't sound right. I think this was a terrible song choice for an idol group performance haha. :) But otherwise, Jessica sounded nice at the end.
I live in Sydney, and personally can't stand the show. I'll watch it now and then, and'll take this over Big Brother ANY DAY!!! But I have a sneaking suspicion that the whole show is pretty-much rigged (as in 'fake'). I think there've been a few controversial decisions with the votes based on a certain church group paying moneys 'n stuff... I really lost interest in the show, and don't see the appeal honestly, just like any other USA-inspired reality show. The Biggest Loser is tolerable =)

I just watched the 2005 Australian Idol group performance and there's no doubt this group had way way way more talent.
Well, this is definitely way better than any of our German Idol shows.
