The 🇹🇹 squad for the Jamaica 🇯🇲 friendlies

- On Feb 6th and 9th, Trinidad and Tobago takes on Jamaica in two friendlies that would then lead us into Gold Cup qualification. The coach is still learning his players and spoke today in a virtual press conference about his thoughts and plans moving ahead.
Molino has always been a consistent player par his injury periods so good pick for him let him continue to contribute an add leadership and experience to the team
Leadership and experience yes, but ahead of Bongo at this time.... that's questionable to me. In friendlies I think we should have had the younger players play and push for contracts. (just my thoughts TBH).
Am also happy that Dwight has given two very young players a early break to play against a rugged team in a large spectator environment.
I love this fact so much.....
Will like to give the coach a chance with the squad that he choose. And thanks for the update
The coach has a clean slate in front of him, so he has all of our support early on (as any new coach would have) but we are working with a shortened timeline so I think the general feel is that our expectation is that things happen a lot quicker.... (realistic or not, that's how a typical supporter would feel cause we badly want to make the WC2026.)
Fabulous work 1:28
Thanks again 😁😁
You should do an interview with Terry Fenwick because he knows a few players who can represent TnT.
Honestly I would love too if I get an opportunity, I would try and reach out to him one day and see what's possible.
Wonderful
I heard him in two interviews in October and three weeks ago. And he said that he has gotten 197 professional football contracts for players.
@@dietznitro-zr2vt what?? wow! that's impressive. where is that interview?
I'm surprised that Marvin Phillip got a call up.Given that he's retired.I would of preferred to see Biggette between the sticks. But the squad looks good.
I agree. I know we have issues in the goalkeeper department if we're picking from the TT Pro League but Phillips shouldn't be there imo. Should have picked one of the younger ones from the pro league but I guess he knows best.
They took biggette to Saudi Arabia
But taking defense force #1 and #2 goal keepers wouldn’t of made sense for the club
I think Marvin Phillip will be used just for experience with the youths I don’t think they need him to be in between the post
Yeah Im a little confused about that pick.
@ Yeah we struggling with good keepers, but I think maybe Levi Fernandez could have gotten a pick here. He not doing too bad right now. But bringing back Marvin taking away a young players spot. 😒😒
@ still think they should have taken another young keeper.
3:57 dreon payne and justin obikwu is A must for gold cup prelims in my opinion 8:04 leacock should off been on the team instead of sam
Agreed.Leacock should be a starter.
@@marktheshark7588agree. Unless Leacock is due to sign an overseas contract soon, or Yorke thinks he's seen enough to know what he's about and gives someone else a chance.
@@ktrap868 exactly
@@ktrap868 is king tuh blame not yorke
I'm always going to keep calling Deron Payne's name until he makes the team.... 🤣🤣.... and yes definitely Bongo is doing better than Sam in the league so that again was another strange pick.
The player who in top form in the League…Bongo should’ve been there.
I would have expected him to be there, or either ahead of Brent Sam. But someone mentioned that the league may be continuing next weekend also so the club may still want to keep their talisman.... so idk 🤷
National duty before club any day
@ I would have thought that should be the case, honestly I'm just speculating.
I agree with you 100% trinidad looks like an out of game plan, no style ,why we don't flood the opponents gold post and press them.
Yeah, I was expecting much better but... I'm not panicking yet, maybe that was the first game to get the jitters out and tonight we might have a more aggressive structure and plan.
I dont think the best local players were picked because the league is ongoing and no team really wants to be at a disadvantage. Looking at the composition i think its probably just to see how sween n garcia perform. We will see how this go.
Definitely I think we all would be looking for Zum Zum and Sweeney to do well, they would be the standouts for sure in this session if they get the time and able to shine.😃😃 I'm excited about seeing them. There definitely are a few players that could have/ should have been there also, namely Isaiah Leacock for sure.
@@TriniLIFE868 yeah but we have to consider defence force cant risk this weekend without their star striker. We already know what he capable of. The league already kind of weak, i dont think they would want to send their best players to 2 friendlies.
@@clintonalleyne5719 Interesting point, I didn't consider that, would they still have games going on next week? I thought they would have taken a week off because of these games.... ( That's just me assuming).
@@TriniLIFE868 we will have to wait and see. I didnt hear anything about a break.
Is Denzil still injured oh is he IN USA already 4:52 nah molino is in form joint top scorer in the league with bongo and auvray did not make the team is crazy to me
Denzil on his way to join his new club I think, I have real reservations about molino in a serious game (no disrespect to our league and these friendlies) but yeah Bongo and Kaile missing is another one of the mysteries of these selections.
@@TriniLIFE868 atleast he wont be part of this mess they call A line up denzil on to new things
Kaile missing is crazy
@ This is such a confusing omission for me, like why?????
@ He still is our number 1, that hasn't changed, but I think they trying to find proper back ups for him... Aaron Enill plays in Jamaica and Jabari St. Hillaire plays for defence force, they may get the two games, but still I feel a younger keeper should have made the team also instead of MP.
