Hi i like the video. Do you have to record an instruments entire take in 1 take to make an entire song? Because i have 1 and i cant seem to figure out how to crop different transitions onto 1 track it seems like i have to just record an entire part for 1 instrument in 1 take.
Woah were all those effects built into the recorder while you were scrolling?? Like you even made your guitar a bass? Wild man. Were you purposefully riding the db a little high or does it just have very sensitive preamps? Thinking about using something like this for my own music; I have a hard time with how much my computer can do and this looks so straight forward. Thanks :)
It has the same processor effects as the Boss GT from the same era. I have the Boss BR 864 and it has the same effects as Boss GT-6/6B. It has Bass Simulator, Acoustic simulator, Synth and etc...
You can look for any alternatives (other Boss/Rolands or Zoom). It's old machine and it has some ailments but $45 is IMHO good price. Look at my other video with this recorder ua-cam.com/video/yzKAtjDojhE/v-deo.html pros + price + built in guitar effects & amp simulations + built in drum automat cons - sound quality is not good as present-day recorders - you can record only to 100MB Zip disks (it's to hard find them)
Hi, I recorded the output directly to my sound interface. I had no ZIP disc or drive so I have no idea how the recordings are stored or if it is possible to import tracks to a DAW.
@@rotten77 si otros no puedo usar. Sólo de 100. Tengo varios zip. La lectora piensa un poco y me pregunta si quiero inizializar o expulsar disk y al inizializar me tira error. Eh probado muchas veces y no funciona.
There are some sampling and loops. You can read the manual. I think, you can find it online. Very difficult and hard to remember. You can program the whole drum track, each beat. there is also a CD w drum samples.
amazing clipping capabilities.

amigo una consulta, esto se puede grabar con 8 o varios instrumentos a la ves?
Hi, so your question is, that you can record 8 instruments at once? No, there are only 2 inputs (first for instruments/line, second for microphone).
Entiendo, muchas gracias por su respuesta amigo, un abrazo a la distancia.
2 at once or one stereo. Or use a mixer for more instruments at once to record.
yo,is the br 8 better than the roland 840?
Hi, I don't know. I found this forum, where you can find informations: www.vsplanet.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=313438
Jiven!!

REPLY

I've been reading on other forums you can change out the drive, to use the bigger disks
Hi, How do you sent your music to computer? Thanx
Hi, from Boss's output to computer's sound card input.
hola. Tengo un problema. No me lee los zip y al initialize disk me salta medium error! Sabés de alguna solución?
¿Qué tipo de disco estás usando? Boss BR-8 solo puede leer 100MB de discos grandes.

can u loop any track u record
Hi. I sold this unit so I can't check it for you. But I think that you can't loop track. Try to find it in manual.
thanks the way ur doing it in the vid it seem like u dont have to play a entire song was wondering if the play back was looped
No. BR-8 has internal drums. I used just BR.8, nothing more.
Look for Boss BR-80 - it's the same uni,but bettter, modern, and tiny.
