- Today's drive we are discovering the city of Vevey.
Vevey is one of the “Pearls of the Swiss Riviera”. Its lakeside location with breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama, its extraordinarily mild climate, the vineyards, numerous excursion destinations in the region and proud paddlewheel steamers on the lake characterize this town by Lake Leman.
Vevey experienced its first heyday in the belle époque period at the end of the 19th century. Even today, majestic hotels and a flower-bedecked lakeside promenade lined with palm trees continue to serve as reminders of this age. But Vevey is also a modern, regional centre which is headquarters to Nestlé, the international Food and Beverage Group. Its most famous inhabitant was probably the comedian Charlie Chaplin, who spent the last twenty five years of his life here. A monument dedicated to him stands on the lakeshore.

There's a dog park, skater park, and pingpong table by the lake. It's really a mesmerizing town.

Bonsoir , oui j’ai toujours habité à Vevey ,je suis né en Suisse, je fais également mes études c’est toute ma jeunesse 😉 mes amis me manque et tous les beaux paysages. Maintenant je suis parti habiter dans le sud l’Italie au bord de la mer et quand je vois tout ça ça fait chaud au cœur. J’adore tout ce qui est Suisse 😉la fondue la raclette et surtout le gruyère, Merci encore ♥️

What a beautiful city. One of the best cities I seen in UA-cam. There seems to be a church every few kilometers. Was this shoot on a cloudy day? Even with the gloomy clouds the city still looks very pretty.
It was a cloudy summer day. Vevey lakeshore is so incredibly beautiful, unfortunately that day the sun wasn't with us. Glad you enjoyed the video 🤗
